06/06/2026: Cheaper than other establishments in the area for the main courses. The food is decent, nothing special. The dining room is clean. Aside from the main courses, it's still quite expensive. Navigating to the food collection area and the vegetable buffet is very complicated.

03/06/2026: Friendly staff Clean place However, it's a shame to advertise "11am-9pm" without any further details, because when we arrived at 2pm, there were only two choices for main courses, and the "all-you-can-eat" portion consisted solely of fries and potatoes. We were also told that "the vegetables will be removed in 5 minutes." For 30 euros, including a drink and dessert each (for two people), this is extremely disappointing. It's worth mentioning that after a certain hour, they only offer ice cream, crepes, and similar items.

01/05/2026: I just picked the date randomly because, frankly, I've known and frequented this bar for so long, formerly Pont Neuf, because of its lovely terrace... one of the few in Besançon. When I was still working, I often had my coffee there early in the morning before work. The owners, Dominic and Claire, work very hard and have done so for years, so a little kindness and respect for them would be appreciated. I go back as soon as my health allows, due to some health issues. The service is always top-notch, and the establishment has always been impeccably clean. And a new addition to help them out, Karine, a ray of sunshine and positivity. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish them a well-deserved holiday at the end of this week. I'll be there whenever I can. Thanks to Dominique and Claire, supported by Karine.

06/04/2026: A well-located brasserie offering a reasonably priced lunch menu... Croque monsieur, salad, fries, plus a gourmet coffee for €18. It's not homemade, you can tell, but it's edible. Perfect for a quick lunch break. The staff is very pleasant.

19/12/2025: A €20 lunch menu with a choice of two starters, two main courses and/or cheese, and dessert. It's very, very good. Homemade fries, excellent beef, perfect deviled eggs... and impeccable service. I was pleasantly surprised!

28/09/2025: We had to wait a bit in the rush, but after that everything was perfect. The pulled pork is highly recommended, and the local IPA is also very tasty. And lovely in the sun.

14/04/2026: Not a great overnight stay. Very basic room, broken towel rack. Dinner? Well, pizza or... pizza. The carafe of red wine was a bit harsh. Breakfast was very standard (no dairy, no cold cuts, no fruit). All this for €120... I've had much better.

16/05/2026: We paid €35 ​​per person for a simple dish with more cream than meat, served with frozen fries, and a very basic dessert. A simple and expensive brasserie; even in Beaune, we would have liked a bit more quality on the plate.

09/05/2026: A very bad experience on May 9, 2026. The two security guards were very nervous, aggressive, and rude from the start. The situation escalated until one of them slapped my friend, which is completely unacceptable for an establishment supposedly dedicated to ensuring the safety of its customers. There was no professionalism whatsoever, and no attempt to calmly manage the situation. We left shocked by this behavior.

09/01/2026: Excellent hotel and outstanding regional cuisine! Le Marmagne is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing and pleasant experience. The restaurant is a real highlight — exceptional regional cuisine, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Every dish was delicious and clearly made with great care. Highly recommended for both accommodation and dining.

06/01/2026: Not friendly at all. We did indeed book for one night. Unfortunately, there was a snowstorm on January 6th in Charente-Maritime, with impassable roads. We cancelled the reservation after having already paid approximately €46.00. I think we were in a situation of force majeure... We were refused a refund (easy to make money that way. It's perfectly legal.) I should add that we were coming from Charente-Maritime for a death in the family. There's absolutely no friendliness at this establishment.

22/01/2026: The cashier was extremely rude and arrogant. I inquired about the availability of a particular wine, and she responded aggressively, calling me a "wine speculator." A traumatic experience.

16/11/2025: I passed through Beaune in August 2023. They had a great selection of wines at really good prices. Sure, Burgundy wines aren't exactly cheap, but they're hard to find online, and certainly not cheaper. The owner was a bit reserved, but very friendly nonetheless. She had a bit of a hard time with me, though, because I had, and still have, almost no idea about the countless wineries in Burgundy.

10/06/2026: We were eager to try this brunch, but the culinary experience fell short of our expectations, despite a few positive aspects: The setting is exceptionally beautiful, the location is magnificent and very pleasant. A big thank you also to the waiter who did everything he could to please the guests. As for the food, it was a disappointment. A serious lack of originality: classic dishes without any creative touch or signature. It's a shame; we expect a bit more daring for a brunch. The presentation was very ordinary, whereas brunch is, by definition, a meal where you also eat with your eyes. The portion sizes also need improvement: we weren't able to try some dishes that hadn't been replenished. This deserved a small gesture from the manager (a bald gentleman) to whom we reported it... but we didn't even receive an apology! In short, unsatisfactory value for money. We'll remember the setting, but not what we ate!

29/05/2026: Sunday brunch doesn't deserve its name or its price! Everyday salads in basic dishes, with no presentation whatsoever (tabbouleh, cucumber, tomatoes...), ham and bacon haphazardly piled on top (too bad, I should have taken photos). Insufficient portions... Barbecue and baby potatoes... Hmm, where's the real brunch? The lemon tart among the desserts must have been good... Too bad, they were all gone when I went... In short, 65 euros for this, frankly! Fortunately, the setting is magnificent (hence my 2 stars...) and above all, don't rely on the photos of the brunch offered on the Abbey's website, they are clearly outdated...
