31/12/2025: I thought about it for a long time because I was waiting to calm down about my experience at this Michelin-starred restaurant. In short, it absolutely does not deserve this star! It was shameful to arrive at our table and see a tablecloth stained in several places. The aperitifs were served in unappealing glasses. After the first bread, we were served frozen bread... We were served pigeon that was cooked beyond disastrous. Flowers were used to garnish a dish that was an acrid and lingering taste. And to top it all off, we asked to see the chef, who appeared before us wearing a crumpled jacket—a total lack of respect. The only positive point was the sommelier, who was pleasant and a good professional.

01/05/2026: I bought two dishes for May 1st: filet mignon with Époisses sauce: excellent. And the second, guinea fowl fillet with tomato, mozzarella, and zucchini gratin: tasteless, bland gratin. The guinea fowl was undercooked. Very disappointed.

06/12/2025: Although the place was closed for the whole month of December(!) the restaurant was still taking online bookings through The Fork. When we arrived and realised there wasn’t any chairs nor tables we knew something was badly wrong. A lady came out of the kitchen, barely apologetic, and told us to go and check elsewhere for dinner. She didn’t seem phased to know I had submitted my credit card details to secure a ghost reservation. Completely and utter waste of our time. Chefs-led operations might be the promise of good food but this is called the HOSPITALITY industry for a reason. That’s what happens, unfortunately, when businesses don’t put their customers at the centre of their strategy.

25/04/2026: A huge disappointment! The prestige of fine dining has gone the way of politeness. For me, everything was fine, but far too expensive for the poor quality of the dishes served in a frosty atmosphere. I highly recommend other establishments, such as Le Caveaux des Arches, which offers a similar wine cellar and a lovely regional menu. Regarding this meal: The beef cheek was far too tough (personally, I couldn't eat it). The eggs meurette with Époisses cheese and fries were simply sickening... so much fat, it was just awful. The cream was cooked incorrectly, which is a shame for a classic dish. I had lots of little bubbles in my cream with water at the bottom. And the wines by the glass add to the already excessive bill for this quality. Marrange at €13.50. Yes, everything has a price, but for me, yours are too high considering your service, even for Beaune.
07/04/2026: It's a lovely place to sit in the evening, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying the moment.

07/12/2025: Our experience, after a night spent at the Hôtel de Bourgogne in Saulieu, included a very pleasant exchange with our host. While the room was admittedly rustic, the bedding was impeccable. Impersonal hotel chains are not for us. We had a delightful encounter with the owner. It all started with a Cuiralatre counterweighted rotisserie that stood proudly in one of the dining rooms. We also learned about the creation of Courtepaille in Burgundy by Jean Loisier, the brand's founder. We learned a great deal and wish him well in passing on the torch; a lifetime of experience is priceless! One night from December 6th to 7th.

31/05/2026: It's a shame that when booking online, it wasn't mentioned whether there was a set menu for Mother's Day at €55 instead of the €39 menu. We were upstairs, and the air conditioning was very unpleasant. We were seated against a wall, and cold air blew on our necks throughout the entire meal. The table next to us also commented on it. There were no snacks with the aperitif. The food was good, no complaints there. But at €55 per person, excluding drinks, it wasn't a good experience considering the price and service.
25/05/2026: Excellent lunch. We ordered snails, Bresse chicken, and strawberry nage. The snails for the starter arrived a little lukewarm, but the staff readily took the plate back to reheat it at our request... and brought the dish back completely reheated, perfectly piping hot! The attention to detail in the service is noteworthy; it's in these kinds of details and the handling of unexpected situations that you recognize true professionals. The sauce and mashed potatoes accompanying the Bresse chicken were exceptional, very flavorful, and the strawberry nage was the perfect light finish.
