31/05/2026: We ate at this restaurant for Mother's Day as a group of six, and everyone was absolutely delighted. The quality of the food and the dishes prepared by the chef was excellent. We received a very warm welcome; the atmosphere was relaxed and genuine. We'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere of the restaurant outside was great and felt like an experience rather than a simple lunch. It was like a Michelin to me.

25/07/2026: The overall impression is cold due to the very businesslike service. Our menu was served with extreme precision. That felt distant. I did not like the white wine by the glass I ordered, and the sommelier was kind enough to offer another white wine that did not need to be paid for. Kudos to the sommelier. The food was excellent.

24/06/2026: La Causerie des Mondes is a wonderful café/restaurant offering excellent coffee as well as tea and chocolate. They have a great bakery with a delicious assortment of sweet treats, and their menu had a small but interesting selection of meals, as well. Its location is just a few minutes’ walk from the palace but it's away from the jammed streets that plague most of the central area during the tourist season. Consequently, its atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, both in their outside seating area as well as a charming interior space.

18/06/2026: The meal was excellent, and the workers were all very brave in 39°C heat. I don't know what it's like in winter, but it's definitely very, very good.

27/07/2026: While cycling the Tour de Bourgogne route, we stopped by chance at Le Cellier Volnaysien for lunch on the beautiful shaded terrace with our three children. The food was delicious, and the children were treated to a proper little menu with a starter, main course (a real one, not just nuggets and fries!), and dessert. The interior is incredible, with a completely different atmosphere; it's like stepping into the winemaker's cellar. The decor, the lighting—everything is beautiful.

12/07/2026: It was good… for that alone it deserves 5 stars. The fondue bourguignonne was superb, the wine recommendations were excellent, we'll definitely be back.

08/08/2026: I love this restaurant and have been coming here for years; I've always been satisfied. But this August visit wasn't like usual. The mussels were much too small and full of tiny crabs. It somewhat spoiled the experience…what a shame.

The dishes were remarkably refined, especially the delicate combination of asparagus with capers and bacon bits. We also enjoyed a selection of magnificent wines, ranging from 2010 to 2023. A must-visit for lovers of fine food and quality ingredients. I will definitely be back.
