27/08/2024: Disappointing compared to before and yet I went there very often. Cracked and chipped cup, cracked tea, nothing underneath so leaks onto the table through the bag protruding from it. Far too much cream in the cakes (pavlova....) and few red fruits. Damage ! Don't want to come back. Average service for the price.

23/08/2024: We have eaten wonderfully and the attention is magnificent. We recommend the dessert cakes, they are homemade and exceptional.

27/06/2024: A breathtaking atmosphere! I like to have my meals with my friends at RU LE MASCARET. The staff is pleasant and always smiling! The dishes are often correct and the vegetarian options varied. So cool. However the pepper is not very peppery, maybe think about changing supplier 🤷🏼‍♀️ Overall I am satisfied with my meals (hard to give a single opinion for 7 years of meals in the UK) My friends agree with me.

20/09/2024: We really liked it again. Typical French bistrot, with simple and good cuisine. A great place to stay.

20/09/2024: The place was pretty but the staff were unpleasant and even haughty. We came for a drink in the afternoon, we had the feeling of being disturbed. Avoid if you are looking for a friendly place.

19/09/2024: An experience not to be repeated... we just wanted to have a drink but we waited more than 10 minutes before anyone showed interest in us... and even just as long for someone to come to us to take our order... The standing is there, that's nothing to say, but given the more than hefty bill, a little more consideration and consideration would be a plus.

15/08/2024: Although the setting is excellent and the decoration very pleasant, the orders were not respected: blue cooking in the extra place for a piece of beef, salad and vinaigrette on a dish requested without. The piece of beef was gelatinous. The cocktails are very good. Customers arriving without a reservation are sent away by reception in a less than cordial manner.

15/08/2023: What's nice is when you ask on the internet they say it's open, you show up there and it was closed. a small suite myself I am a cook and never in my life would I have responded to a customer as you do I understand why now you are closed, when we do not accept comments even if they are negative we must learn from them lessons but I see that it is not your case to change profession

01/08/2023: Excellent welcome. A caring boss who wants to please. Excellent value for money. The piece of beef was excellent!!! And I was able to take away the very good chocolate fondant. I highly recommend this place!

09/09/2024: It didn't start so bad though... But when we are charged for digestives which were presented as free AND we empty our bottle of wine under the pretext that we had given our agreement for the table to be cleared. 'That's a lot, isn't it?' What followed was a more than unsatisfactory interaction with the boss who, immediately caught up in feelings, did not want to hear anything about our feelings. Final situation: disappointed with the feeling of being taken for a 🐦

08/09/2024: The first time I went into this restaurant was after a surfing session to ask for a glass of water under the murderous eye of the owner (who is ruminating in her breath about "Gneugneu we sell bottles of water in more.."). It was 11am and I was alone in the rad. The service was obviously extremely expensive, and I said to myself that it was incredible to be so poorly received at Lacanau Océan where hospitality is still quite a standard... The second time was to eat, a few days later... I joined a group of friends to have a good time. Arriving at the door I realize where I am, and I warn; guys, it's different here, you'll see something unclear is bound to happen! Surprisingly everything went really well and it was a hasty judgment.... No, not at all. Despite some service hiccups: missing items, mixed trays, moving tables once already installed... we try to make the most of it. Overall we put together a big table (in the profitable sense): seafood platters, desserts, cocktails, bottles of wine one after the other, and the bill per person begins to seriously climb. The end of the meal arrives where everything is at stake. We decide to move to the terrace to have a bit of a laugh and allow the smokers to have a toast. The waiter then arrives, we talk, we laugh, and he asks us if we would like "a digestive with the bill" (the classic on a good table, admit)... All in heart, happy with the proposal, we respond Yes! thanking the generous offer. The bill arrives and there... The cold shower: the digestives are on the bill! And they are expensive. But then dear, to take out a loan from the bank... That's not all! During the time we are outside, the waiter clears the table and... leaves with the still filled bottle of wine that we just ordered... The waiter then arrives with his mouth open: "I'll cash you mhhh?" We were shocked, and very disappointed: “but those shots are free, right? Everyone understood that anyway!?” The waiter: “Well no guys, you consume, pay yourself, normal!” Us: “Oh yeah nice, and the half-full bottle of wine you just took back to the kitchen?” The waiter: “Well, I asked you if I could clear it out.” In short, the boss arrives to confront us, the discussion drags on, we understand nothing of what she is saying, she starts to get angry about other subjects "don't talk to me about Lacanau and the Canaulais" (the report? ?)... We ended up paying and leaving, obviously the problem lies elsewhere. Funny story afterwards!
