18/08/2024: We don't use the hotel just the restaurant. Although it was 2:15 p.m. and other places no longer served food, this restaurant has some dishes, very delicious salads, that are served at any time.
17/08/2024: Passing through Gèdre coming down from Gavarnie around 2 p.m., we were welcomed with smiles and kindness by all the staff.
The meal, from a limited menu, is very good and plentiful.
Thanks for everything.
We will definitely come back.

19/08/2024: La vraie cuisine française ! Une belle découverte que ce vrai bon restaurant français. Ses plats délicieux et authentiques, cuisinés uniquement avec des LOCAUX et FRAIS, donc le menu est affiché sur l'ardoise. Carte de vins avec des pépites à deguster. Aux fourneaux: un couple de passionnés, heureux de partager leur amour de la cusine traditionnelle. Ils sont ravis de discuter avec les clients de leur métier. Je recommande ce restaurant.

13/08/2024: LITTLE PARADISE! The cuisine, the setting, the kindness of the service, everything was perfect for us! We loved it so much that we went back for dinner again the next day (the menu changes every day and 100% fresh and local produce). Little bonus: Our dog welcomed like a king in freedom outside

The waitress or the owner, we don't really know, very unfriendly, barely hello when I came to ask her if we could sit down (my children were already settled in but Madam that didn't matter to her anymore I don't think given her reaction) We come every year and it was the first time we said we would try it! But never again!!! We will continue to go to the shelter where we are very well received.... we need to review the relationship, ma'am!

15/09/2024: So never actually got to ear here. Waited 20 minutes in a queue to get to the front to asked if we had a reservation, which we disnt, to be told to come back in another 20 minutes as there may be a table. Did not take our name to reserve a table if we did come back.
Oddly enough every French person I front and behind us got a table and were not given the same msg, my French is good enough to understand the different conversations.
Wont bother returning …if you go and are English be warned.

30/08/2024: It is a nice place, with very polite staff. The food is good, but everything is very fatty. I had the duck confit with the potatoes. The potatoes were all buttery with bacon ,i would prefer a lighter side dish to the already fatty duck. I mean , the food is tasty but the combinations should be reconsidered.
