14/03/2026: In the medieval streets of Montpellier's historic center, this restaurant, with its Gothic vaulted dining room and small outdoor area, is very welcoming. The menu was a bit complicated to understand with its star system. The manager came to explain it to us, but since we weren't familiar with this star system based on the number of courses chosen, we didn't quite grasp it. And that's where all the magic and joy of dining in this otherwise excellent restaurant disappeared… Mademoiselle (let's call her that) made it very clear that we hadn't been listening properly and that if we "listened carefully," she said politely, but with a tone that, once again, implied we would understand better if we did… anyway! Not being as foolish as we seemed… we chose our menu, knowing that this wasn't our first Michelin-starred restaurant and we're more used to having helpful waiters ready to explain things several times if necessary! For what it's worth, my stepdaughter had already visited this restaurant in 2025 and had also encountered this rather unfriendly head waitress. The experience remains unique in terms of gastronomy: delicious, meticulously prepared, and worthy of a Michelin star! To add insult to injury: before we were hooked, the waitress rubbed salt in the wound with, "Despite your confusion when reading the menu, did you have a pleasant experience?" This was the last straw. A restaurant of this caliber shouldn't end on such a sour note with its customers and leave them with a less than enjoyable experience. As a result, we all left the restaurant not talking about the delicious dishes we had tasted, but rather about the overall customer experience. Nevertheless, I must emphasize that the rest of the staff were very professional and pleasant.

21/02/2026: The service was completely inadequate. A frosty reception followed my explanation that my daughter and I weren't big fish eaters. Unfortunately, the only main course was fish. The waitress lectured me about making the reservation without specifying anything and that there was no guarantee the chef could do anything about it. She wondered how I could have booked without reading the menu on the website! This certainly set the tone! The chef, of course, adapted, for which I thank him, but we could have started there! There were four of us, only one printed menu, and when I asked for another, I was told they were careful not to print too many. Finally, I was told we didn't need to read it because "it's the chef's poetry"... Unbelievable, just two minutes earlier I'd been criticized for not reading the menu on the website! They ended up offering us an aperitif, but we had to hurry up and order, otherwise... otherwise what? The welcome was like a masterclass. Finally, the dishes were nicely presented, some were quite successful, but at this price, one expects a completely different level of service...

29/11/2025: We ate four times at this restaurant, which offers one of the most beautiful views and perhaps the best food in Cape Town. The service is excellent; kudos to the entire front-of-house and kitchen staff, despite the crowds. Special mention goes to the sea bass, the ribeye steak, and the Caesar salad—absolutely delicious.

23/11/2025: My favorite place to go when I want to escape the vineyards. Off we go to L'horizon in Agde! A view to die for no matter what the weather is. Great professional staff. Their breakfast is great, although I would love a savoury version: bread, butter, ham, cheese and a boiled or fried egg... But this a side, it's just a perfect place to enjoy a morning at the seaside.

31/01/2026: We were a table of 12 celebrating two birthdays. Having already come two years ago for the same thing, we wanted to relive the experience. We were greeted with a curt "Let's get going because the kitchen won't wait for you."... We weren't really satisfied. In a hurry to finish our meal and leave, we asked for candles that never arrived, and we had to ask again. For a €630 meal, I think at least the two people celebrating their birthdays deserved a complimentary jet ski.... Not to mention the waiter who abruptly cut off one of our requests because it wasn't her responsibility to answer.... Anyway, it's a shame.

23/01/2026: Disastrous restaurant! A truly disappointing experience. Our aperitif was served at the same time as our main courses, which immediately set the tone for the disorganization. The Savoyard fondue arrived… cold. After we pointed it out, they brought us another one, which was just as cold. Incomprehensible for such a simple dish, supposedly their specialty. To top it all off, the bread was stale and clearly not fresh. The staff didn't help matters: an unpleasant welcome, and every time we asked, we clearly felt like we were bothering them. No apology, no gesture of goodwill. An experience to avoid.

27/08/2025: The setting was sublime, the meal was excellent! And those homemade fries were a pure delight 🤤🤤 The only downside was the service was a bit disorganized; we waited 25 minutes before our drink order was taken, even though it wasn't very busy. Otherwise, overall it was very pleasant 👌🏻

25/08/2025: The service was pleasant, and the person serving us was kind. However, the quality of the food left something to be desired. The starter (charcuterie board) consisted of three slices of cold cuts, the carpaccio was completely flavorless and watery, and the "burrata" that was charged extra was actually just dry mozzarella. As for the main course, the rib-eye steaks arrived lukewarm/cold with frozen fries, and the prawn dish also seemed frozen, with an unappealing taste. In short, a very disappointing experience in terms of taste; I do not recommend this restaurant.

16/02/2026: The food is delicious, full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality of each ingredient. The service is always top-notch, fast, warm, and attentive. A must-visit for a great time! Cheese salad, gratinéed mussels 💙

27/06/2025: A clearly disappointing experience. Extremely noisy, we couldn't hear ourselves speak or when the waitresses came to see us. The food was catastrophic: the tomato and mozzarella starter had no flavor, the salad underneath was hard and bitter. I won't comment on the rest of the order, the plate was completely undressed. The waitresses were in flip-flops 🤦 Really not a pleasant place to eat or sit quietly on the terrace. Being in the business, a lot of things shocked me.

21/03/2026: This is nothing like the old Boris. From now on, stay away! The steak tartare is some kind of dubious, whitish mix, both in appearance and taste. And don't even get me started on the toilets; at the beginning of service, they were like something you'd find at a motorway service station!

16/03/2026: I had booked for 5 people on Thursday, March 12th; this dinner was important. The welcome was lacking; they couldn't find the reservation at first. The service was deplorable. The second waiter didn't bother to check if everyone had finished their appetizers before bringing the main courses and was unpleasant when we pointed it out. He left, put all the dishes aside, and the first waiter took over. The flank steak was tough and cold, and the fries were cold. As someone who frequents brasseries, I must admit I was very disappointed with the quality and the price. It was excessive. I do not recommend this brasserie; it is not worthy of the name. We are all unanimous.

04/03/2026: A wonderful rediscovery of Le Tire Bouchon in Montpellier. Since the change of ownership, the place is completely transformed. We ordered a burger and the daily special: both were excellent. The service was quick and very friendly. All this in an ideal setting, on an iconic Montpellier square, particularly pleasant in the sunshine. A highly recommended spot.

19/12/2025: Great café/bar that also serves a little food. The owner is absolutely lovely 🥰 always smiling, friendly, warm, and helpful. She even takes the time to chat despite often being very busy. The atmosphere is very friendly, thanks to the locals who are easy to talk to. The drink selection is very reasonable for a small village bar, with excellent draft beer compared to what you usually find. I highly recommend it 😊

10/07/2025: The room is quite small with a view of the campsite. The floor in the room is sticky and there is fungus in the shower. The only good thing is the location, which is very close to the sea.
