26/10/2024: A very beautiful place at the water's edge, used just for professional training so not visited the place entirely. Very good lunch meal.

01/03/2026: Overall, a very pleasant stay at the Hôtel des Bois Dormants. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The spa area is a real plus: the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna offer a truly relaxing break. The daily housekeeping is also appreciated. However, the room was a little small, and the lack of a welcome tray was regrettable. While now standard, even in more modest establishments, this detail greatly contributes to the comfort and perceived quality. I should mention that I did not try the restaurant or the breakfast. Overall, a positive experience, with a few areas for improvement to fully meet expectations.

21/02/2026: We stopped at this hotel on our way back from skiing. We chose it for the pool, so the children could let off some steam before our long drive home. The food is very good, the restaurant is excellent with impeccable service. The rooms are dated, very poorly soundproofed, but very clean. However, we were very disappointed to be charged an extra €35 for access to the pool… the room prices are already quite high, in my opinion! Their only response was: "Water is expensive these days!" I should point out that we called to book and this surcharge was never mentioned to us! This is an address to avoid; the price is completely disproportionate to the services offered! I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but we don't appreciate being taken for a ride!

16/01/2026: We spent a family weekend at the hotel and had dinner there. It was wonderful: The hotel: very comfortable, very professional and friendly staff. The breakfast was truly excellent. Dinner: Signature Menu with wine pairing... the photos speak for themselves. The Chef and her team delighted us. The service was truly excellent, and the sommelier team was amazing!!! We tasted delicious wines 😋. A special mention for the cheese service: an impressive trolley served by a passionate individual who gave us excellent advice on the wines the sommelier had selected for us. A family-run establishment with a passion for their craft and products—a real pleasure. A weekend that the whole family loved. We will be back! Note: dogs are welcome and pampered! 08/09/2024: Merci Laure et Armando pour votre accueil et dévouement ! Nous nous sommes régalés. Superbe concept (buffet entrée et buffet dessert). Il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts. Les plats vraiment excellent, le cadre magnifique. Merci encore on reviendra c’est sûr et certain !

04/09/2024: A simple hotel that is unfortunately understaffed. A single person who is responsible for the reception and at the same time has to serve in the restaurant. The phone rang non-stop during dinner, but the lady couldn't answer it. In addition, high prices, a large beer €9,-! In my opinion, the regular price of €120 is excessive for the hotel; you should check the booking portals. But rooms were clean, it is on the street and therefore very noisy. OK for a transit trip, but not at the regular price.

29/09/2024: 4 adults 2 children €150. Bad pizzas, water colonel cup dessert with a little lemon sorbet. It wasn't the first time but this is the last time. This restaurant smells like pine tree!!!

22/09/2024: My friend ate this afternoon, she spent the day in the office emptying and ended up in the hospital because of a piece of chicken that was not fresh, to be absolutely avoided, a danger to health at the risk of catching the current

09/12/2024: Cela faisait longtemps que nous recherchions une bonne crêperie.C'est chose faites. L’ambiance y est cosy,toute l’équipe est vraiment à l’écoute et prend le temps de nous expliquer les différentes cuisson (Moelleuse.Croustillante ou Moelleuse à bord croustillante) Les crêpes y sont délicieuse et les tarifs y sont très abordables. Je la recommande vivement.

24/11/2024: Juste délicieux Service rapide et courtois Plat très savoureux et possibilité d’adapter la recette de galette à sa convenance (croustillante, moelleuse ou mixte). Tarif raisonnable (75€/3pers).

23/08/2024: Pas terrible. Pas trop de monde mais des plombes pour qu’on nous prenne la commande . Les boissons ont dû être recommandées car oubliées et plats pas tout à fait comme demandés . Tartare pas terrible avec de gros bouts de gras . Pas fini , ailoi qui ne sent pas l’ail ou à peine . Bref on ne reviendra pas . Sur le décor de joli .

19/08/2024: Mooi ruim terras voor een prachtig gebouw. Prima bediening. Wij hebben er alleen wat gedronken, niet gegeten. Wat langs kwam zag er smakelijk uit.

28/08/2024: Small, friendly and very good restaurant. They offer local specialists, the cheeses are excellent and the fondue is great! Impeccable service. We highly recommend, but you might want to think about booking :)

05/11/2024: Une petite pépite ! Un restaurant à faire absolument, tout est parfait de l' accueil au dessert! Plats savoureux et présentation très raffinée ! Cela fait bien longtemps que je n'ai pas mangé une salade aussi délicieuse et bien garnie. La suggestion du jour était tellement bien présentée dans l' assiette qu' on aurait aimé ne pas y toucher .Les desserts maison sont incroyables et le vin...parlons en du vin, juste divin! Un grand bravo à ce restaurant qui a tout compris. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir lors d un prochain passage à Baume- les- Messieurs. Le genre d' endroit qu on n' oublie pas!

22/10/2023: We are slowly getting to know the French Jura and happened upon this small hotel in Foncine-le-Haut. There, we opted to spend the night in the roullotte, a kind of trailer, which gave us the autonomy of a small apartment. Jessica and Julien are very friendly and helpful. Julien was in charge of the kitchen in the evenings, and we and our friends picked through pretty much everything on the menu over a couple of evenings. It was all very good, well-prepared, generous portions. They offer local products where they can. Jessica was on duty in the mornings and breakfast was well worth getting up for! We enjoyed our stay, there’s lots to see in and around the town, and good hiking. I definitely recommend a stay.

18/10/2023: Nous avons passé une très belle soirée et nuit L acceuil est vraiment sympathique ,humain,vrai. On s'est senti réellement accueilli. Le repas était délicieux du début à la fin. J ai craqué pour le moelleux au chocolat. J aurais dû demander la recette.... Le petit déjeuner :excellent J ai apprécié que tous les détails soient pensés : les vins sont bio la musique est chouette les yaourt maison du matin sont maison et délicieux, etc Ça fait plaisir. Merci. Vraiment: on a passé un bon moment. Ah... les chambres sont belles.
