01/06/2026: Wow! I ordered my pizza and was served so fast! It's amazing. Plus, I ordered a small pizza so I could treat myself to a dessert—perfect!

08/04/2026: I went to get a limoncello and received two scoops of ice cream with alcohol in it, which you had to drink with a spoon. Limoncello is served in a tall glass with a straw, like in the photo I attached.

11/03/2026: Super nice pastelerie and salon de thé, great welcome and service. We had different cakes and savoury quiche Lorraine and everything was delicious. Situated in the centre of the village. We do don't speak french and it was a very easy communication, very friendly place.

11/01/2026: I bought a galette des rois for €27. There was practically no frangipane filling, just puff pastry. Considering the price and the product description, I'm very disappointed.

05/03/2026: If you want to eat a good burger, you can go there with your eyes closed; it's delicious, fresh, and the combinations are well thought out. However, I find them a little pricey! But as they say, quality comes at a price. I look forward to coming back to Lons to eat your burgers!

01/03/2026: I enjoyed my hot chocolate on the terrace while waiting for my children to have their ski lesson. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

02/01/2026: A very warm welcome. The waitress was smiling. There were four of us, and we all had the teddy bear burger—it was delicious! We couldn't have dessert because the children were eager to get back on the slopes, but we came back for afternoon tea with Nutella crepes. They're really generous with the Nutella; you could really taste it, unlike at some other resorts, and the hot chocolate was also very good. Unfortunately, our vacation is over, but we wish you all the best for the future.

06/04/2026: We had a perfect stay at this ideally located inn at the foot of the Hérisson waterfalls. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food; the ham was incredible. We will definitely be back! 👍

25/04/2026: The restaurant is well located, but the wait to be served is interminable. The staff can walk right past you ten times without reacting. Then, ordering is an ordeal; the staff are either completely inattentive or their eyes are constantly shifting. The dishes are basic and nothing special, but the bill is exorbitant for a simple salad and fries. Very disappointed, especially since the restaurant was far from full.

04/05/2026: Arriving late, around 1:40 pm, we received a very warm welcome. We were given a lovely table on the terrace overlooking the Ain River. The menu was excellent, with flavorful dishes, well-prepared with local ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.

05/05/2026: I was really looking forward to eating trout. I waited a long time only to receive an undercooked trout. Even I can cook better! Luckily, I have very few bad restaurant memories, but this one will definitely be among them! I went to the fishmonger to buy a trout to try and erase this terrible experience.

25/05/2026: Don't be fooled! We booked two nights at this 3-star hotel, at €170 per night for a "deluxe double room with bathroom" (according to the invoice). Nothing but problems with this establishment: Rooms on exterior walkways with lots of stairs (no elevator). The room was shabby; the bathroom was outdated with a shower in a bathtub; the toilet door opened directly onto the headboard; the bathroom heater was faulty; and there was no soundproofing in the rooms (the noise of the nearby stream was very annoying and tiring after a while!). The welcome was minimal, there was no heating in the room when we arrived, and we felt like we were bothering them when we asked for an extra duvet. As for dinner, it was just as bad as everything else—far from acceptable! A motorway service station cafeteria would do better. The indoor pool was old and had a freezing cold shower. We fled the very next morning and went to another hotel! A real one! At "La Vallée Heureuse" (The Happy Valley), the customer is nothing more than a credit card, expected to endure mediocrity without a word of complaint! The manager's defense is a full-blown attack, labeling the dissatisfied customer as "bad, threatening, vulgar," and saying things like, "As soon as I saw you arrive," etc. Absolutely no professionalism, very poor value for money for a so-called 3-star establishment, and a bad image for Poligny and the surrounding area. On TripAdvisor, the manager doesn't hesitate to respond with lies or threats in an attempt to intimidate dissatisfied customers. No dignity, no seriousness, and bordering on illegal.

19/05/2026: Avoid at all costs! A nightmare that thankfully ended with our early departure for another hotel in the area. "La Vallée Heureuse" is a shabby hotel where mediocrity reigns supreme. The welcome was rushed. The room and bathroom were outdated. The small balcony was dirty. The heating was faulty. Dinner consisted of meat served with mashed potatoes that looked like something you'd find in a school cafeteria. The indoor pool was old and poorly maintained. The photos don't reflect the current state of the hotel at all. And the worst part: the noise of the stream (not mentioned online), as well as a large number of steep stairs (also not mentioned online). Be warned, if you express your disappointment to the manager, he will call you "vulgar, aggressive, and condescending." His tone became threatening when we pointed out that, for the benefit of other tourists, we were going to post a review online. In conclusion, this hotel is in dire straits, and its manager tries to hide (during the booking process) that he couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. A true disgrace to the industry. Want to see for yourself? Read how he responds to dissatisfied customers... Blatant attacks and lies. Is this dignified and professional? Certainly not. I want to clarify that his response on TripAdvisor is misleading: I don't run a social media account where I create advertisements. I'm simply a very dissatisfied customer who left after one night. The owner became offended and aggressive. He does this to all his unhappy customers and doesn't hesitate to invent lies to discredit them.

03/05/2026: We were there last night! Magnificent! The owner is incredibly kind and attentive; she even offered us a small glass of Vin Jaune to taste, as we weren't familiar with it! As for the food, the chef is a true professional, creating flavorful dishes, not some bland, flashy chef just trying to impress tourists!

20/02/2026: It's hard to judge this place with its dilapidated exterior and the fact that the door is locked, contrary to what is indicated on the internet.

16/05/2026: The owner makes weird jokes, even flirts with the person behind our backs. There are other bars in Dole. Beer selection isn't great.

21/04/2026: Second visit and definitely the last. Over 20 minutes wait for two simple drinks (a draft beer and a lemonade) and one waffle. The waffle arrived in a reasonable time, but the wait for the drinks was over 25 minutes (my friend had to go get them herself at the bar). The same thing happened at another table of two; the Perriers were served ages after the snacks were brought. The bartender was alone, certainly doing his best, but there were two waitresses, not at all overwhelmed, who were doing the bare minimum (wouldn't helping the bartender with the simple drinks, if all the customers were seated, improve the service time?). However, if you're friends with the owner or the waitresses, like the two young women who must work at the restaurant upstairs, you're served in under two minutes—I timed it—as soon as you arrived (well after us). (A Granini fruit juice and a can of iced tea, no longer to make than our drinks.) Nice attitude. (That's sarcasm, in case you missed it.)
