05/12/2024: We spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant where every detail was thought of with care. The chef's cuisine is a true ode to flavors, skillfully combining ingredients to offer combinations that are both surprising and harmonious. Each dish reveals meticulous work and intelligent thinking that highlights products of excellent quality We particularly appreciated that the chef took the time to present each dish at the table. His precise analysis and his passion for his art shine through in his explanations. He masters his products perfectly, knowing them down to the smallest detail, from their origins to their transformation. The service was just as pleasant with attentive servers. Special mention to Lucien. We will undoubtedly come back to show our loved ones this place. A big thank you to the whole team. Justine Kutarasinski

27/11/2024: Gorgeous ! A UFO in the world of catering. We came a long time ago but this lunch this lunch was very good, plentiful and very well served. The 4-year-old was treated to a €10.20 formula where he can choose from several dishes on the menu. (half in quantity). Well done! 👏

19/09/2024: Restaurant bien sympathique avec facilité de parking. Le patron en cuisine, la patronne en salle avec une petite jeune. Une cuisine traditionnelle excellente ( rognons, tête de veau, os à moelle, tartare préparé sur un charriot devant les clients ) avec des portions conséquentes. Service impeccable. Prix très abordables. Je recommande .

04/07/2025: More than fabulous: the BEST of my entire life! (My life = 200 nights per year on average, 3 continents, 60 countries). A hostel furnished with multiple large, cozy, and airy spaces, all in a classic (yes!) barrel-style decor that inspires a radiant history without anything feeling "old-fashioned." The breakfast served at the table is lovely and of superior quality (everything is homemade). The restaurant is gourmet, and the major success: the price isn't bad because the high quality, flavors, harmonies, and quantity are all there. Large, modern rooms with a bathroom worthy of Cleopatra. The pool and spa are super clean and super modern, and in keeping with this atmosphere of timeless perfection. And the service: wow, the service is provided by very attentive, very kind, and very professional staff, without being obsequious. Attentive and even considerate... The fifth-generation owner is in the kitchen. Personally, I think Etchebest should come here for a refresher... "The French tradition of hospitality and quality still exists in reality, despite the human meditation of social media and other anorectic virtualities." The proof is here... it's worth the detour. I'll end with this: I read the lowest ratings and wondered if these people had the wrong hotel or if everything has changed since then, because these comments about the noise, the welcome, the service, the culinary quality have nothing to do with what we experienced (My mother, 85 years old, my other half, 23 years old, and I, 59 years old that day (3 nights).

02/07/2025: We stayed at St. Walfrid twice (winter 24 and June 25). The rooms are immaculate and the dinner was an awakening of the senses. There was nothing that could have been better. Whether it was the service from the entire team, the quality of the meals prepared in the restaurant or the comfort and ambiance of the hotel, which represents an elegant fusion of rural farmhouse and luxury hotel - truly an island of serenity to relax, near the border.

03/07/2025: The lovely waitress at Loulou was incredibly kind and patient with my family when our inability to speak any passable French threatened to complicate the evening. I ordered the seared tuna and it was fantastic, the service was great, and the restaurant is in a perfect location nearly under the grand cathedral's shadow.

27/09/2024: Entry into the restaurant 5 min wait before being served, a long wait time before taking the order. The salad tasted like bleach, we asked for a hamburger without arugula and we received the arugula. On the other hand, we asked to be served quickly and we got it. But extremely disappointed with this experience.
