12/12/2025: In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Metz! Everything is there for a perfect experience: an ideal location with a magnificent view, dishes always prepared exactly as requested, served hot, and of consistent quality. The service is impeccable: the team is incredibly attentive and always smiling, which is becoming rare these days. You can tell they truly understand how to run a successful restaurant. I'm always delighted to go there when I'm in Metz, and I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work; it's a real pleasure!

04/07/2025: More than fabulous: the BEST of my entire life! (My life = 200 nights per year on average, 3 continents, 60 countries). A hostel furnished with multiple large, cozy, and airy spaces, all in a classic (yes!) barrel-style decor that inspires a radiant history without anything feeling "old-fashioned." The breakfast served at the table is lovely and of superior quality (everything is homemade). The restaurant is gourmet, and the major success: the price isn't bad because the high quality, flavors, harmonies, and quantity are all there. Large, modern rooms with a bathroom worthy of Cleopatra. The pool and spa are super clean and super modern, and in keeping with this atmosphere of timeless perfection. And the service: wow, the service is provided by very attentive, very kind, and very professional staff, without being obsequious. Attentive and even considerate... The fifth-generation owner is in the kitchen. Personally, I think Etchebest should come here for a refresher... "The French tradition of hospitality and quality still exists in reality, despite the human meditation of social media and other anorectic virtualities." The proof is here... it's worth the detour. I'll end with this: I read the lowest ratings and wondered if these people had the wrong hotel or if everything has changed since then, because these comments about the noise, the welcome, the service, the culinary quality have nothing to do with what we experienced (My mother, 85 years old, my other half, 23 years old, and I, 59 years old that day (3 nights).

02/07/2025: We stayed at St. Walfrid twice (winter 24 and June 25). The rooms are immaculate and the dinner was an awakening of the senses. There was nothing that could have been better. Whether it was the service from the entire team, the quality of the meals prepared in the restaurant or the comfort and ambiance of the hotel, which represents an elegant fusion of rural farmhouse and luxury hotel - truly an island of serenity to relax, near the border.

15/12/2024: Im L‘argousier gibt es ein hervorragendes Essen, immer abwechslungsreich und sehr raffiniert gekocht. Der Empfang und der Service sind sehr aufmerksam und nett, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Die Weinberatung und der Service durch den Kellner sind unaufdringlich und kompetent. Das Preisniveau ist nicht abgehoben, für 7 herausragende Gänge plus Amuse guelle und einen kleinen Digestif haben wir 90 € bezahlt, da kann man nicht meckern. Wir waren schon mehrmals da und wir kommen auch gerne wieder.

15/12/2024: Une première expérience parfaitement réussie, fruit de plusieurs retex (retours d’expérience…lol) qui nous ont amenés dans ce palais des saveurs à la décoration contemporaine épurée très agréable. La déclinaison des 7 plats a été une succession raffinée de bons goûts avec des vins associés non moins plaisants. Quant à l’accueil puis au service des serveurs en salle, ponctués des passages du Chef et de sa maman sommelière ont été parfaits, très professionnels, attentionnés et sympathiques. Nous y reviendrons assurément d’autant que le principe d’une carte unique hebdomadaire établie dans le cadre d’un circuit court et de saison nous est apparu de bonne augure.

30/08/2024: Came for lunch this afternoon, starter carpaccio of tomato parmesan and main course saithe with seasonal vegetables. It's very well cooked, very tasty and reasonably priced. The service is very friendly and efficient. In addition to the Amos on tap :-) In short, I recommend it and will come back with pleasure.

27/09/2024: Entry into the restaurant 5 min wait before being served, a long wait time before taking the order. The salad tasted like bleach, we asked for a hamburger without arugula and we received the arugula. On the other hand, we asked to be served quickly and we got it. But extremely disappointed with this experience.
