30/03/2026: We're so glad we ignored the negative reviews before booking. We spent four nights there exploring the surrounding area. The initial welcome was a little cold, but within ten minutes, we were in good spirits. The rooms aren't huge, but they were perfectly adequate. Our dog was very welcome (at no extra charge). And the restaurant... We don't usually eat at the hotel every night to try out the local restaurants, but we enjoyed excellent food there all four evenings. Very reasonable prices. Excellent and friendly service. With a few degrees warmer, it would have been lovely to be able to enjoy the terrace. So, no regrets about this booking. We'd gladly return with friends.

09/11/2025: Passing through to visit my grandmother, we traveled 400km and stopped at La Table du Saulnois. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and flavorful cuisine, so much so that I simply had to write a positive review for this restaurant. I highly recommend it.

26/08/2026: We had reserved a table for four at 8 p.m. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and our aperitifs arrived quickly. However, no glasses had been provided for our non-alcoholic drinks; we had to ask a waitress for some. We then ordered fairly simple dishes. Despite this, we waited over half an hour to be served, and not all at the same time. At times, the side dishes arrived before the main courses. It took another ten minutes before we could all eat together. The dishes were classic and quite good, but the portions of meat and sauces were very small considering the prices. We were offered a side dish or sauce; we asked for a side dish, but it wasn't mentioned that it would be charged extra. This came as an unpleasant surprise when the bill arrived. The dessert service was also particularly slow, even though the restaurant had already emptied out considerably and we had only ordered ice cream. Finally, the end of the meal left us with a rather unpleasant feeling. While one person at our table was still finishing their dessert, the waitress began clearing the other plates, which had barely been finished. A few minutes later, cleaning began around us, even though the restaurant wasn't yet empty. We clearly felt it was time for us to leave. When it came time to pay, we asked to pay separately, each couple paying for their own drinks. The question, "How much will you be ordering?" followed by complaints about having to do the math, was frankly inappropriate and unprofessional. We simply would have appreciated a little more courtesy. We left without making a fuss or complaining, but we are locals and, unfortunately, we won't be returning. Perhaps the establishment does well with tourists passing through and nearby boats, but for us, the value for money and especially the quality of service are not up to par. Best of luck nonetheless.

16/08/2026: A very bad experience. The restaurant opened at 6:30 PM and we arrived at 7:30 PM, barely an hour after opening time. There were five adults and a baby in our party, and even though the advertised closing time was 11:00 PM, they told us they had no tables available and couldn't serve us. The worst part is that this is a very small village near Sarrebourg, where there were practically no other options for dinner. After traveling all that way, encountering this situation was quite frustrating. I completely understand that a restaurant can get full, but if they can't serve customers during the advertised hours, this should be clearly indicated, or reservations should be allowed. The experience left us quite disappointed, especially traveling with a baby.

25/01/2026: Good and affordable food, very friendly staff, and welcoming owners. The tarte flambée, crème brûlée, and cakes are unbeatable. Everything else is really great too. The adjoining campsite is quite basic, but fantastic. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean. Everything is just right. Camping as it should be. I always enjoy coming back. The terrace, interior, and toilets have been beautifully renovated.

01/11/2025: Unfortunately, frog legs are on the menu. I avoid restaurants that serve animals killed in cruel ways.

11/12/2025: Upon arrival, we weren't even greeted. The only thing they rushed to say was, "We're full." Even though the restaurant was practically half empty. Perhaps we arrived too late (1:05 ​​PM), but in that case, they might as well have told us we weren't welcome because of the time. This is the behavior of a restaurant that doesn't need new customers. Disappointing.

10/09/2026: A very pleasant place to spend a lovely evening! We particularly appreciated the spacing between the tables: you're not crowded, which makes the meal much more enjoyable. The fondue concept is really fun, and ours were excellent, well-presented, and quite generous. The meat was good quality, and the side dishes were also very tasty. A big plus for the side dishes, which were served and replenished generously. 👍 The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had a wonderful time in a convivial atmosphere. The menu also offers other dishes that make you want to come back and try them. A very good evening, delicious food, and a fondue concept that's worth the trip. We'll gladly return!

22/07/2026: We had lunch there today, as we have several times before. The service was impeccable, and the food was very good quality; however, the quantity of vegetables served could be slightly greater. We've noticed this every time. A shame.

02/08/2026: We spent a weekend at the hotel. The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant was a truly fabulous discovery. The chef prepared a menu worthy of a top restaurant, all for a very reasonable price. Amuse-bouche, starter, fish, meat, pre-dessert, dessert! Everything was excellent. There were seven adults and two children in our party. The children's menus were also very good, featuring fresh and well-prepared ingredients. A truly wonderful find.

25/07/2026: Delicious, generous portions and beautifully presented dishes. A very pleasant setting with a large covered terrace overlooking the pond. The cook is very friendly and efficient, and the staff is welcoming. We often eat here when we're in Dieuze. We're from the Vosges region.

23/08/2026: As members of France Passion, we came in our campervan to spend the night. The owner was friendly, and we bought some products which were very good! Unfortunately, the good times ended there! Right next to our pitch, a whole bunch of dogs barked day and night. So, avoid this place if you want to have a peaceful stay and, above all, a good night's sleep! The owner isn't responsible, because I don't think the dogs belong to him.

16/08/2026: A delight for the taste buds! Succulent foie gras, a magnificent setting—wow! I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine food. I would definitely return. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to François.

23/08/2026: I should have turned around and gone for a swim in the Saar River just across the river; I think I would have had a better time. Nothing was fresh, an hour's wait between courses, a terrine that looked like dog food, my children ordered pasta bolognese, but it was downright shameful—the pasta wasn't fresh, stuck together, and tasted like leftover lemon from the lunch service. In short, all that for 208 euros. As a regular at La Potence, where the prices are similar or even higher, I can tell you it's like night and day. Little Thierry, you've seen me, well, you won't see me again. A disgraceful restaurant for those kinds of prices.

13/08/2026: Disappointed, we had booked for lunch today and the restaurant was closed. Like every year, we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary. No phone call to let us know. A disgrace.
