21/08/2024: Really bad, we clearly have the impression of bothering the people who work there. The food really disgusting and not fresh. The salad was soggy, the chicken wings were almost out of date and according to the waitress, the bacon was not “grilled” because they had been poached in oil. The truffade full of oil and with sponge straw in it. Really don't go there, it's disgusting and super expensive.

02/09/2024: Not great For a 23€ menu I expected better Our mini sausage was very dry as was the truffade. Reheated many times I have the impression We won't go back there.

06/09/2024: I recommend this brasserie first of all for its warm welcome... We see that they want their customers to feel comfortable. You immediately feel good there 😊 Small mention for the waitress who was super pleasant. As for the cuisine, good simple, no frills but only fresh produce. Homemade fries so good 👍 Excellent value for money. So if you are in the area don’t hesitate to stop by 😊👍👩‍🍳

25/08/2024: Attention Remarkable place! When quality and know-how come together like a bygone era before ugly modernity. Pleasure of the senses, taste, sight. Absolutely delicious food with a divine knight shadow. Restaurant like a museum of tradition. It’s even difficult to understand everything. Traditional room with its faults which make up its qualities. Royal breakfast! My only regret: having arrived in hiking gear, I would have liked a jacquard jacket and a top hat for example… I will definitely come back and don’t hesitate for a moment, it would be a waste of time….

15/08/2024: Visit this hotel before these types of hotels die out with their staff. This hotel cannot be put into the classic star rating grid. It's not about how many towels you have in the bathroom or how long reception is manned. It's about an authentic experience in an old building. Every part of the building shows its past. It is winding, built over centuries around the city wall. Something has been added there, something built in there. The owner is a unique character who puts his heart and soul into running the hotel (and cooking?). Try the menu in the evening. Just be prepared for what's on offer. It will be very tasty. The service is also part of the setting. Simply immerse yourself in a different hotel world. It's worth it. And please don't be so negative. You can also go to a Best Western where everything is standardized, but please don't complain about this gem, which is completely different.

22/09/2024: The mussels are good and plentiful for the rest the children's menu is not good, first choice steak and the fries are not good, with a table under an air conditioning, I do not recommend this restaurant

03/09/2024: Finally a restaurant worthy of the name! Very good and generous dishes. Special mention for the revisited lemon éclair (delicious chocolate shell) The service is very good (just remember not to bring the starter at the same time as the aperitif) But this is a recurring problem in many restaurants! And finally the really nice decor (interior and exterior) We had a great evening, thank you.

02/09/2024: A terrible tourist trap! Convenience food prepared in advance is served. The terrible ravioli from Lobster: loveless and limp. The main course perch with vegetables: 5% perch and 90% vegetables in dried sauce. The dessert profiterole from the factory is a bad joke at the end. The price: 76€ for 2 aperitifs, 1 starter, 1 main course, 1 dessert.

02/08/2024: While hiking, we stopped at this restaurant. We ordered 3 truffades to share with 4 (in addition to 3 other dishes, there were 7 of us in total). Lunch goes without incident (apart from the owner who smokes inside the restaurant and in the kitchen), the food is good (even if I agree with the comments which specify that it is nothing gourmet) and the service is pleasant. When paying, we were surprised by the bill on which 4 truffades were charged (with a slight reduction because we did not take any cold meats). We pay the bill but I still report the problem to the waitress (a difference of 16 euros), who does not react, so we leave the restaurant. As we put our bags in front of the entrance, the boss asks me to come back in and explain the “problem with the little one”. I therefore calmly repeat what surprised us on the note. After 30 seconds of discussion, the owner's reaction was as follows: "if you don't have the means, you shouldn't come to the restaurant" "come on, leave my house immediately" "the other customers are happy so that’s not my problem” while raising his voice. I consider this reaction totally inappropriate and disrespectful. I therefore strongly advise you to move on.

28/06/2024: Seul restaurant du secteur ce qui explique probablement le prix du menu..32 euros en semaine à midi. Le plat principal était bon ( poulet légumes...basique!) ,le clafoutis (9,50 euros à la carte tout de même !) quelconque et bourratif. J ai été particulièrement choquée par le comportement de la patronne. Outre le fait qu'elle mobilisait l'attention en parlant fort, elle s'est permis 2 réflexions désagréables envers sa serveuse, devant les clients, alors que celle ci assurait seule la totalité du service ( de la commande à l'addition) avec amabilité, efficacité et professionnalisme. Beaucoup de progrès à faire avant de se dire gastronomique!

01/09/2024: Sorry, it's really not good. The table where we ate was poorly cleaned and sticky. The trash can behind the bar was overflowing onto the floor. The toilets!!

14/09/2024: Spoiled dinner, the waiter having nothing to do with it spent his service apologizing because all the dishes in our order were missing, even the wines Makes you wonder if you shouldn't finish the leftovers There was also a problem with the desserts so we gave it up as the limits were exceeded and to close the TPE breakdown and argument in the kitchen it was definitely a lot of no commercial gesture for all the inconveniences caused for our first evening of vacation Great shame because the only dish we were able to eat was still cod replaced by salmon but the preparation was good We will avoid this address if we return to Clermont Ferrand

24/09/2024: Very nice welcome by the boss 👍 Delicious pancakes and very beautiful presentation 👍 I recommend this creperie in Ambert if you like good crispy and garnished crepes 😀 We enjoyed ourselves accompanied by a delicious perry cider 👍
