22/02/2026: What a surprise to find ourselves back in the 1990s! Nothing has changed. Same decor, same bathroom. It's high time they brought it up to date.
As for the food, it was bland. The buildings are in a deplorable state. It's a shame, but we won't be returning to the Campanile.
18/02/2026: A stay at the Campanile in Thiers followed a certain internal logic.
The bathroom was marred by visible mold on the walls, grout, and behind the towels, creating a constantly damp atmosphere. While the bathroom did have heating, its switch moved freely and wasn't connected to anything, rendering any attempt to turn it on futile, even in cold weather. Overall, this demonstrates a particularly questionable level of maintenance and consideration for guest comfort. Not recommended.

29/11/2025: We just stopped by the bar for a coffee and a crepe, the interior is nice and cozy, the gentleman who served us was kind and polite, that's all we asked for so thank you.
22/11/2025: At the beginning of September, we stopped for a drink... a glass of wine and a rosé for 7.5 euros! Luckily, it wasn't August anymore 😄

06/03/2026: Visited today. The owner has a great sense of humor, and the young woman serving was very kind and attentive. The menu was much appreciated (special mention for the homemade red wine sauce), and we also wanted to acknowledge the chef. A very pleasant experience; we'll be back! (Price shown below includes aperitif, meal, wine, and coffee.)
29/10/2025: Honestly, I don't understand the negative reviews I've read on Google... For us, Cyrano has always been a very good experience! The owner and waitress are always pleasant and welcoming, and we've never had the slightest problem. The dishes are excellent, well-presented, and plentiful.
Regarding the prices, yes, it's perhaps a little more expensive than a large chain, but that's also normal: we're lucky to have a truly quality little restaurant right in the center of Billom, with fresh produce and friendly service—and that comes at a price.
In short: a warm place, where you eat well and are always well received. I recommend it without hesitation!

11/01/2026: We stumbled upon this place and made the mistake of not reading the reviews. Being well-intentioned, we thought we'd form our own opinion: apart from the young waitress who was on her first day and very pleasant (hence the two stars), there seems to be a competition for the lowest rating, with absolutely no effort made (cold crepe, lukewarm sauce in a cup...). All the reviews are unfortunately accurate, which ruins our trip to Besse. In short, definitely avoid this place!

Mis à part la situation au bord de l' eau rien ! Si ce n'est la gentillesse et l' efficacité du personnel
16/08/2024: L’endroit sentait une odeur très désagréable. De plus la serveuse de la terrasse qui s’est occupée de nous n’était pas très agréable. Elle nous a crié « bonsoir » et n’a pas été très polie. Nous sommes venus l’an passé et l’expérience était meilleure. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

21/09/2024: Expérience parfaite. Une cuisine moderne, tout en justesse avec des associations novatrices très intéressantes. Un rapport qualité prix imbattable pour un menu entrée / plat / dessert un soir de week end. Le Bistrot d’à Côté mérite honorablement ces Michelin !
16/09/2024: Nous avons mangé à la carte, tout était parfait en liquide comme en solide, le service sans reproche, le cadre agréable. Je ne sais pas à côté de quoi, et ce bistrot, mais certaine ment pas à côté de la qualité.

17/09/2024: Sad drive...A heavily dented coffee can whose lid was not watertight after opening the lid was slipped into the delivery! Shameful and disingenuous. An apology and a refund are the least we can do here. No customer appreciates being mistaken for trash! I had to decant everything before making my coffee. Really not a nice situation...

31/07/2024: Une cuisine digne des plus mauvais plats en boîtes industriels. Du personnel je m'en foutiste que les clients semblent déranger par leur existence.
A part les produits ISO que l'on sert désormais dans toutes les entreprises de restauration rapide (salade et glaces identiques à toutes les salades que l'on trouve partout en France dans ce genre de structure : si vous n'aimez pas l'originalité ou que vous regrettez la cafétéria du boulot, vous ne serez pas déçus ! ).
Le globe fut autrefois une halte sympathique avec une cuisine de brasserie tout à fait honorable.
Une halte ou tout issoirien aimait de temps à autre se poser.
Ce n'est plus le cas.

29/06/2024: L'emplacement est idéal mais le personnel manque de directive précises.
Nous avons pris et verre et sommes partis sans diner car on ne traite pas le client ainsi - c'est inadmissible. 15 personnes qui papillonnent ensemble dans un ballet mystérieux ou le client est un pion - je ne donne pas cher de ce restaurant à la fin de l'été ... dommage
