31/05/2026: We had a pleasant time. The food was good. However, there seemed to be a staff shortage that evening, which resulted in a long wait. Despite this, the team on duty remained professional and friendly, and did their best to manage the crowd. With a slightly larger staff, the experience would have been even better. We would gladly return to rediscover the establishment under better circumstances.

16/12/2025: I'm quite surprised by the price difference between the two days. I find this bar's practices a bit questionable! I'm not trying to defame them, but I'd really like some clarification! A grenadine with water cost €2.80 at the beginning of November and €3.90 at the beginning of December. I won't be going back to this bar; that's it.

05/03/2026: On a weekend getaway in the area We had a lovely evening with friends for Valentine's Day. The set meal was delicious. The vegetarian meal I requested at the last minute for my daughter was also very good. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

30/05/2026: I think you need to get with the times; not being able to pay with your phone is unacceptable these days. I was forced to spend at least three euros when all I wanted to buy was a baguette.

23/05/2026: Absolutely wonderful!!! We arrived for coffee at 11:00 AM. There were six of us, including one child. Several tables were empty and unset. We were unpleasantly surprised when the waitress told us that no tables were available. Two or three minutes later, a family of five arrived for drinks, and the waitress seated them at a table for six. We politely asked the waitress why we had been refused service, and this unpleasant woman must have mistaken us for tourists, even though we are residents of La Bourboule, because she berated us, telling us we were disrespectful, unfriendly, and bad people. This is definitely the last time she will ever see us, our friends, or our neighbors.

21/05/2026: I arrived at 8:30 pm. The kitchen was almost closing, and the waiters at the reception desk found me a table. The lady who recommended the menu was very kind; she advised me not to order an appetizer because it would be too much, which I really appreciated. I recommend arriving before 8:30 pm because almost all restaurants close at that time. Of course, we're not in Paris, we're in Nice.

27/12/2025: 12:25 PM: no more second choices on the daily menu. No suggestions for an aperitif, let alone wines. The truffade was more like a cheese omelet. Only one dessert option.

19/12/2025: Change of ownership At 12:15 PM, there were no more menu options except salmon and spinach. The restaurant was full, and there was a very long wait. It's nothing like it was under the previous owners. Plus, the €18.50 set menu (main course and dessert) didn't include all the desserts. We ended up getting a kebab.

29/04/2026: Not posting the closing times for the small pool used for gym classes on the door is a disgrace. As a result, we drove for an hour for nothing and two children were left crying. Thank you for your consideration.

10/04/2026: Since the management was transferred to the local council, the service has been disappointing. The pool temperatures have dropped, and the facility is closed for three weeks during the school holidays. Previously, it was closed for one week after the holidays. The jacuzzi temperature is supposed to be 31°C... Normally, it should be at least 36°C. It's clear they're trying to cut costs.

01/06/2026: Our group received a very warm welcome during the Ambertrail 2026. The rooms are clean and have all the essential amenities. Dinner was excellent, and the owners are friendly and very accommodating. A pleasant surprise for those who aren't looking for a 5-star experience at any price.

01/06/2026: The hotel is ideally located: close to the historic center, next to the leisure park and the tourist train station. It has private parking, and a large parking lot is also located just a few meters away. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive to their guests. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. We had a very good dinner, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful.

31/08/2025: Absolutely avoid!!! The welcome was appalling, the staff haughty, and we waited 45 minutes to be served. The price/quality ratio is outrageous; it's far too expensive considering the food served. The room was also only moderately clean... Run away!

28/05/2026: Nice spot in the park. Traditional cuisine, but well-prepared. The spaghetti with shrimp was delicious. The morel burger was pretty good, but you couldn't taste the morels at all. A shame.

29/01/2026: We've been having lunch at The Spot since the restaurant was taken over by its new owners. The dishes and desserts are delicious, and the tasteful decor is very pleasant. We'll definitely be back.

03/11/2025: Run away... the restaurant was empty when we went, that should have been a warning sign, but oh well... the outdoor terrace was disgusting, the toilets were disgusting, the owner was calmly drinking with his colleagues... the guy even took out his penis (disgusting), frozen fries, meat not cooked as requested... in short, I thought I was on a gag video or a horror film like "Hostel", don't go there, it's a nightmare in and around the kitchen.

14/04/2026: Dry baguette, no pleasure in eating.

14/04/2026: The only bakery in the village was open, but in three days we couldn't get any bread. Once it was closed even though the sign said it was open; the second time, the baker had finished her till and still had bread, but refused to sell it to us; and finally, the third time, the bakery was open but had run out of bread by noon. It's a disaster, and on top of that, the staff isn't friendly.

27/06/2026: Servers with no smiles, seemingly bothered by even the smallest request. Everything seemed to bore them. After one drink, we left. Very poor service and absolutely no customer care. I recommend never going there.

26/06/2026: Music blasting, almost deafening. Drinks? If you like crushed ice, this is the place for you. Avoid at all costs.
