02/04/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hotel located in the center of Ambert. Room (10) is spacious with excellent bedding and a large bathroom. Add to that a delicious restaurant and a warm welcome (despite what the naysayers might say). Thank you.

05/08/2026: It's impossible to rate the food. We waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken, only to be told that the typical dish (fondue) was no longer available... We left and don't wish to return.

04/08/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch, a party of four, without a reservation. We received a very warm welcome; the waiter immediately brought us a bowl of water for our dog. We ordered truffade, which we enjoyed, and the charcuterie was very good. My only complaint is that the beers are sold in bottles, but I understand the choice. The local lemonade is very good. A major plus: the waiter was very friendly and gave us helpful recommendations. I recommend it.

26/07/2026: Monday, July 20th: My husband had booked a table directly by phone for that same evening. When we arrived, a few tables were set on the terrace, but there was no one there! After several minutes of waiting and unanswered calls, we left. The next day, my husband received a text message from L'Hortus. Apparently, a mishap was the cause of this unexpected cancellation. When I read other reviews, I see that this isn't the first time this has happened... We ended up having a wonderful meal at L'Art-Koze!

26/07/2026: Dinner was served in a very hot room; the air conditioning was available but not working. The service was pleasant and very quick. The dishes were bland and lacked flavor, which was a shame.

14/05/2026: What a magnificent building! You step into a world brimming with charm, filled with antique objects, each with its own story. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is generous and offers a wide variety of products, including homemade jams. The value for money is exceptional! Let go and relax! Chat with the owners! It's truly enjoyable. We'll gladly return!

18/04/2026: The hotel was very nice, the room was quiet, the only drawback was the lack of a power outlet next to the bed.

10/07/2026: We were a group of about forty people and had reserved tables for the evening. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When ordering at the bar, the server was rather unpleasant. During happy hour, we ordered half-pints of beer, unaware that a pint was available for the same price. This information was only provided to us afterward by a waitress when I asked her exactly what the offer entailed. I pointed out that this information hadn't been shared with anyone in our group and asked, as a gesture of goodwill, for some kind of compensation. My request was refused. It's not so much the price that bothers me as the lack of customer service. With a group of about forty people eating in, a simple gesture or a solution would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because it leaves a very negative impression when it could easily have been turned into a positive experience.

16/08/2026: Restaurant only. One Sunday evening, a last-minute table for six with children: fantastic meal! Friendly service despite the crowds, and thoughtful touches like a salad bowl to share with the savory crepes, and hot lemon juice served separately with the lemon-butter crepe... everything was excellent and easy to make.

09/08/2026: The galettes were very good and the waiter was very pleasant.

02/07/2026: The Bakery and Pastry Shop in Béziers. A true delight for the eyes and the taste buds. In the bakery section, there's a wide selection, and the bread is excellent. In the pastry section, you'll want to try everything. They have traditional pastries as well as creations that change with the seasons. Chocolate tarts, fruit tarts, strawberry macarons... and finally, the viennoiseries, my favorite being the Babka, a succulent cinnamon brioche, and the chestnut and chocolate cakes 😋😋! A loyal customer, never disappointed. We happily wait in line because we know we're in for a treat. Thank you for your always warm welcome. Go without hesitation; try it, and you'll be hooked.

01/07/2026: My father came in this morning to pick up breakfast and bread. The brunette saleswoman watched him arrive, then went behind the counter to put away some labels or something, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. A saleswoman who refuses to serve a customer who's simply there to please his grandchildren is truly unacceptable. If you're bitter and don't like your job, it's not your customers' fault. And if you judged him based on his appearance or whatever, just know that he's just had heart surgery; excuse him for not looking well.

25/05/2026: We had a fantastic stay, perfect and enjoyable. The owner is wonderful, and the amazing Fany served us with kindness, responsiveness, and intelligence. There were 30 of us, and we truly felt like family. Not forgetting the chef, who is a culinary virtuoso! We left with 2 kg more, hahaha. Thank you so much, and see you very soon! Estelle

08/05/2026: We arrived today, May 8th, 2026, at approximately 3 PM to stay two nights. The place appears to be closed. Everything is locked, nothing to see. There's no information about opening hours online. If I'm mistaken, I'll of course retract the one star, since you have to rate something with "at least one star"... There's probably no point in going there right now...

05/08/2026: Excellent value for money. Delicious food and superb homemade desserts. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant! I highly recommend it!

01/08/2026: We just stopped for a refreshment. The staff is very welcoming and the place is very cool.

27/07/2026: Disappointed with this bakery, which has been declining in its pastries lately. The pastry section is much smaller and of far lower quality than before. One wonders if the pastry chef has changed. The worst part was the strawberry on the cake, which was damaged. The "Grandma's tart" no longer tasted like a Grandma's tart at all, and the mille-feuille had very thick cream. Very disappointed. I will no longer shop there.

26/07/2026: Appalling service, no more bread at 12:30, and when we asked when it would be available again we were given the cold shoulder.

08/08/2026: The atmosphere was lovely. On the evening of our arrival, the owners arranged for us to sit outside with our dog, even though the terrace was full. We had a wonderful evening, enjoying a delicious charcuterie board and friendly conversation. We returned during our stay and received another warm welcome! The location is ideal. Highly recommended!

24/07/2026: I had coffee on the terrace with my parents, and the manager was very unpleasant, with absolutely no customer service skills. I don't recommend this café. Especially since there are many other very nice ones within 10 meters. Avoid it!

09/08/2026: An experience that lives up to its name, just like the salmon "pavé" (steak). We arrived at 1:30 pm, and our drink order wasn't taken until 1:45 pm. We mentioned to the waiter that, if it helped, we already knew what we wanted to eat. The response: there was a wait. Fine. One small detail: the terrace was practically empty. Fortunately, our food order was finally taken before 2 pm, and the drinks arrived... at the same time. Then came the big moment: 2:40 pm, the food finally arrived. We figured that by this point, the restaurant must be completely overwhelmed. Not so. There was still no one there. We had ordered two salmon steaks with tagliatelle. And here, we have to admit, there was a certain consistency: the steak truly lived up to its name. Salmon as stiff as a self-locking steak, tasteless, unseasoned, and utterly uninteresting. We ended up emptying the salt shaker on it, hoping to give it some reason to be there. The tagliatelle, meanwhile, seemed to have been drowned in oil. Completely tasteless. Yet, making good pasta doesn't normally require a degree in haute cuisine. After an hour and a half wait, of course we devoured our plates: we were simply hungry. So, unfortunately, it wasn't a sign of satisfaction. And to avoid starting another cycle of waiting, we decided to skip the coffee and dessert. After all, we were already patient enough. In short, if you enjoy waiting a long time for a tasteless dish, you're probably in the right place. An experience that taught us at least one thing: a salmon steak can really be as tough as a steak. We won't be back.

07/08/2026: Employees arguing in front of customers. We came for a drink. We asked for peanuts, and was told not before 6 PM. It's the first time I've ever heard of that. We won't be back.

04/07/2026: A very pleasant bar/restaurant while waiting for your car to charge at the Atlante charging station. A good stop on the A75!

26/06/2026: The food is good, it's a shame the service isn't good, the owner isn't pleasant, I ask for some hot water and she looks up at the ceiling and I hear: annoying.....you should change jobs when the service is annoying!
