13/09/2026: We arrived on a Sunday, after the restaurant had closed, having called at the last minute to see if they could still accommodate us… And there he was, offering us, just for us, a shredded duck salad with roasted potatoes. And as if that weren't enough… a pan-fried porcini mushroom dish prepared just for us. Absolutely wonderful! But beyond the food, it was a truly special encounter: a man from the Auvergne region with character, generous and authentic, just like his cuisine. There are days like that when you walk through a door almost by chance… and have an extraordinary encounter. ❤️

12/09/2026: We stopped by on September 12th, 2026, at noon before a wedding, and when I asked what flavor the muffin was, I was told it was caramel. So I took it, and once in the car, I ate it and was surprised to discover it was a blueberry or mixed berry muffin, I don't know which. Just imagine someone allergic to mixed berries!

07/09/2026: I love this place; it's a little ritual I have with my children at snack time. It's not far from work. The staff are fantastic.

09/08/2026: Reservation for Sunday lunch confirmed by email. Unilateral cancellation by the restaurant via SMS 45 minutes prior due to "a computer problem." No solution offered, and they didn't even bother to call.

14/07/2026: A pleasant stay in a cottage at the Domaine du Lac campsite on the shores of Lake Chambon. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a wide range of activities available, including the campsite's swimming pool and Lake Chambon (accessible directly from the campsite), the campsite restaurant by the lake, the hiking trails all around, and the evening entertainment offered by the campsite. We were delighted and will definitely return. One minor drawback: the lack of cell service in and around the cottage made it difficult to plan hikes or check exam results. On the plus side, it allowed us to disconnect! ;)

12/08/2026: The service was impeccable, there was no wait, and the dining area was very bright. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with my beef tartare with pesto. The potatoes were too oily for my taste, and the salad was over-dressed. But perhaps someone else would have liked it more. What a shame.

08/07/2026: It's not possible to turn on an ice cream machine at the beginning of July; it would certainly be more interesting to turn it on at the beginning of September...

03/06/2026: Friendly and smiling staff. The food was simply delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for the warm welcome with our two dogs and the bowl of water upon arrival. We will cherish the memory of a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

16/09/2026: A superbly equipped rest stop with free and, despite high demand, clean restrooms. Excellent services, such as free microwaves for heating food. Shops like at an airport. Ample parking and picnic areas. Tank&Rast in Germany could really learn a thing or two from this.

21/07/2026: A very good restaurant offering entirely homemade cuisine, prepared with fresh, seasonal produce. The service is pleasant, attentive, and efficient. An excellent place that is well worth a visit.

12/08/2026: A simple, classic, family-run hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are air-conditioned, which isn't always the case in France, hence the need to mention it. Located right in front of the train station, it's ideal for travelers. Free parking is available behind the hotel, which is also great for backpackers. The staff is truly attentive, and that's the hotel's greatest strength. The owner is a real ray of sunshine, and the staff reflects her personality! Breakfast is almost entirely homemade, and the food in general is very good. Thank you again for the stay.

28/07/2026: On July 16th, we ordered a kebab and a galette. We were unpleasantly surprised by the amount of meat and sauce, as well as the extra mayonnaise we ordered. A very negative experience for us; we will not be returning.
