26/01/2026: I had mixed feelings about this "Brasserie." The set menus were very expensive, and the portions weren't particularly generous. I was disappointed every time I visited, despite several attempts. In 2025, I noticed a real improvement, which is why I'm raising my rating. However, I still find the set menus a bit pricey. In 2026, there was another decline in the quality of the food and service, along with a further price increase. Therefore, I'm reverting to 3 stars.

05/01/2025: My order was delivered to me in the boxes upside down. Nothing left on the dough, everything on the cardboard. No refunds. From the bottom of my heart, fuck off. I have never seen such amateurism.

07/03/2026: The room was supposed to be 21 degrees (actually 17/18), but it was far too noisy and really not clean. Mercure hotels have changed a lot. Avoid at all costs.

20/02/2026: The couscous was bland and uninteresting. The ice cream still had solid pieces, and the floating island dessert was mediocre. Not worth the price. The service, however, was very quick, although we almost paid more than we should have.

22/03/2026: Hello, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, I came to your restaurant with my wife and son. We had a very good meal and the setting was pleasant. At the end of the meal, being rather rushed, I paid the bill of €78.90 in cash at the counter. I put the receipt away without checking the accuracy of the charge. On March 10, upon returning home, I checked my bill and noticed that I had been charged extra for what we had consumed: one fromage blanc, one tarte tatin, and two coffees, totaling €20.00. I don't know if this billing error was intentional or not, but I have questions about the table management. The table we occupied was number 17. The waitress was a blonde woman wearing a white blouse, jeans, and brown boots. I should mention that I called you several times, but my calls never went through. I also left you a... I left a message on your answering machine, but to date I have received no response. I also sent you my complaint by email through the Yellow Pages, but again, I have received no reply. Please note that I live 400 kilometers from your establishment, and you will understand that I cannot travel there to dispute this charge. Sincerely, Gérard Robert

17/03/2026: Good value for money. Good meal. Excellent service, no need to ask for a carafe of water or bread. Lovely place, great atmosphere. An address to remember and share without hesitation.

01/03/2026: The wait was far too long! Over 20 minutes for a cardboard-like crepe, two barely defrosted Nutella waffles (we were still searching for the Nutella), and to top it off, a mediocre lemon tart. AVOID!!

06/03/2026: A very warm welcome. The room and bathroom were spotless. There was even a mat for the dog in the room. I highly recommend it.

11/01/2026: The room was old-fashioned and very cold despite the radiator, and the bathroom was straight out of the 70s/80s – it's just not acceptable anymore. Waiting 5 minutes for hot water in the bathtub... where's the environmental awareness? We won't be back.

07/03/2026: This brasserie is located on the cathedral square and has a lovely terrace. The servers are very professional and friendly. They take the time to chat and seat you wherever you like. I had a very good salad.

05/09/2024: 02.09.2024 Spent the night in this parking lot. Everything went smoothly. There was a toilet and shower at the gas station, they didn’t ask for replacement keys, the shower was open. Good luck to everyone and have a good rest.

14/03/2026: After a trip to Ambert. Ordered a rare ribeye steak. It turned out to be very well-done... Acidic taste, no bad smell. I didn't say anything because I was polite. I should have. Result: stomach ache, chills, nausea... in short, food poisoning. My doctor confirmed my diagnosis.

12/12/2025: Never order a burger or steak frites. The burger bun is a Jacquet brand that's probably been sitting around for a week, the ground beef is overcooked (it's clearly mass-produced), and there's no Fourme d'Ambert cheese. The fries were way overcooked; luckily the beer tasted good. At €17, it's far too expensive.
