16/12/2025: I'm quite surprised by the price difference between the two days. I find this bar's practices a bit questionable! I'm not trying to defame them, but I'd really like some clarification! A grenadine with water cost €2.80 at the beginning of November and €3.90 at the beginning of December. I won't be going back to this bar; that's it.

30/03/2026: I've been here many times and have never been disappointed with the food, and the prices are reasonable. There's often a long wait for the crepes/waffles. My only complaint is the children's play area. It's too small and often too crowded (weekdays and weekends). My autistic son is always nervous. Also, many of the games cost money; the children love them, but we're less enthusiastic, but that's just how it is!

25/03/2026: Perhaps a range hood should be installed and the griddle cleaned. The restaurant was smoky and smelled of burnt steak. The food was very average.

31/08/2025: Absolutely avoid!!! The welcome was appalling, the staff haughty, and we waited 45 minutes to be served. The price/quality ratio is outrageous; it's far too expensive considering the food served. The room was also only moderately clean... Run away!

16/03/2026: During a weekend hiking trip in this beautiful region, we had dinner at this restaurant (without a reservation). The setting is typical of the area, and the dishes were delicious, generous, and flavorful. We had a lovely evening. The staff was helpful and tried to serve us quickly. A great place to eat.

16/03/2026: Very mixed feelings. The truffade for three was good and well-served, but I was disappointed by the blueberry tart, which was dry with very little pastry cream – not worth €7. The verbena digestif (shooter) at €5.90 was unnecessary if we'd been paying attention to the price. But the biggest problem was the wine. We wanted two glasses, but were advised to take a small carafe instead, which they said would be more economical. However, when the bill arrived (which they didn't give us afterward), it came to €54 per person, which seemed odd. When we left and did the math at home, we realized they had charged us €22 for the bottle of red wine, and even then, we were still over €30 short! Given how few people were there that evening, we can't explain this mistake, and we were left with a very bitter taste in our mouths.

19/06/2025: After a bike ride with friends, we stopped at the Auberge du Palais. What a pleasure it was to have stopped there. We were very well received, the food was delicious and the presentation was top notch. I highly recommend this inn. A big thank you to the chef and the waitress.

14/03/2026: A completely ordinary bar, with a more than deplorable welcome.

06/03/2026: We've been going to this place for 10 years, and it's such a shame the music is always the same... it's like a record playing. So much potential, so many current hits they could play, but you can't even dance to them because they're practically nonexistent. "On va s'aimer," "Free from Désir"—it's all been done to death... please, change the music, not just the playlist.

29/01/2026: We've been having lunch at The Spot since the restaurant was taken over by its new owners. The dishes and desserts are delicious, and the tasteful decor is very pleasant. We'll definitely be back.

03/11/2025: Run away... the restaurant was empty when we went, that should have been a warning sign, but oh well... the outdoor terrace was disgusting, the toilets were disgusting, the owner was calmly drinking with his colleagues... the guy even took out his penis (disgusting), frozen fries, meat not cooked as requested... in short, I thought I was on a gag video or a horror film like "Hostel", don't go there, it's a nightmare in and around the kitchen.

09/07/2025: We were in Issoire for one evening and had a wonderful time! Top-notch service, generous and well-prepared dishes! Kudos to the waiters for such a warm welcome, and to the owners, who are both adorable! We'll definitely be back!

06/07/2025: Good quality, but if you haven't booked, you're forced to eat quickly.

27/12/2025: 12:25 PM: no more second choices on the daily menu. No suggestions for an aperitif, let alone wines. The truffade was more like a cheese omelet. Only one dessert option.

19/12/2025: Change of ownership At 12:15 PM, there were no more menu options except salmon and spinach. The restaurant was full, and there was a very long wait. It's nothing like it was under the previous owners. Plus, the €18.50 set menu (main course and dessert) didn't include all the desserts. We ended up getting a kebab.

02/03/2026: Casino, you put a lot of money in the machine and get nothing in return... Really disappointed... To keep customers, these famous slot machines need to be satisfactory... A word to the wise. 🫣

28/02/2026: We were greeted with a smile, served an inexpensive and very generous French meal, in a rather nostalgic atmosphere, according to the radio! I highly recommend this place.

20/12/2025: The welcome was more than frosty; after two greetings, this charming lady didn't respond, just staring at us for several long seconds without saying a word… We started a conversation, and she replied, with a broad smile, that we were fully booked!
