17/05/2026: +: A hotel at the foot of the mountain passes, well located. A spa and swimming pool that are a welcome treat after a day in the cold Auvergne weather. A hearty breakfast, good croissants. Bike parking. Owners who are accommodating to large group bookings. -: Basic but clean rooms! A cold welcome and patronizing, almost inappropriate remarks. Sometimes you get the feeling you're intruding even when members of the group ask "normal" questions (like the cold shower water...). It's a shame, because the setting is lovely.

13/05/2026: Fantastic welcome! Excellent food, fresh and generous portions. The waiter was very attentive and gave excellent wine recommendations! Very reasonable price. The room was superb, and the swimming pool was a real bonus. Thank you for your hospitality, I'll be back!

14/05/2026: Hello, Lunch stop on the way to Thiers - Warm welcome and friendly atmosphere - Quick and attentive service - Reasonable prices Traditional French cuisine with fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and a well-balanced salad dressing. The pork curry was excellent. After a 4-hour drive, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend it.

22/08/2026: A fantastic experience at Chez le Brasseur! We ate very well; the dishes were truly delicious and the ingredients were fresh. The flammekueches were excellent 😍. The value for money is excellent, with affordable prices for the quality offered. A pleasant place with greenery, trees, and a cool atmosphere. I highly recommend it; we'll gladly return!

09/08/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant every year for over 20 years, and unfortunately, we have to admit that the quality isn't what it used to be. We had a reservation. The service is very slow, and it's extremely noisy. For better quality, it would be better to reduce the number of tables or hire more staff. We're disappointed.

18/05/2026: The hotel is a bit dated, but well-maintained, and its vintage charm is part of its appeal: you sleep well despite everything. And of course, a huge thank you to Elisabeth, who is welcoming, helpful, accommodating, and cheerful. What a pleasure to be received in such a setting!

20/08/2026: The galettes are really good and generously filled. I make my own batter, and here we rediscovered the true taste of a galette made right in front of you. A very friendly welcome; it's a young, lively place, and the food is delicious. We'll gladly return on our next trip to Clermont-Ferrand.

27/07/2026: To top it all off, I ordered a goat cheese salad. I was served a huge bowl, like a salad bowl, filled with green salad, a few walnuts, and three tasteless goat cheese-topped bread triangles for 10 euros. It's absolutely ridiculous. I strongly advise against going back.

02/07/2026: A truly great spot on the road between Vichy and Clermont! If you love generous and authentic French cuisine, this is a must-stop. The dishes are delicious, the service is pleasant, and, best of all, you avoid wasting time looking for parking in Clermont. A convenient and gourmet stop that I happily recommend!

07/05/2026: The times I've eaten there, it was delicious and the service was top-notch. The low score is because I have stood in front of a closed door more often than I have eaten there. It is impossible for a tourist to find out online whether they are open or not. A real shame for such a nice place.

21/04/2026: I was passing through on business and stopped by by chance at lunchtime. What a joy to see that such a wonderful place still exists to eat good, homemade food at a reasonable price. Served with a smile and a great atmosphere... Honestly, thank you to the team at "Chez Julie"!!! Don't hesitate, stop by without hesitation. P.S.: Plan a little nap after your visit!!!

04/08/2026: We had a reservation to sit outside. When we arrived they told us it wasn't possible anymore. The waiter was trying to see if she could fix something but another person stopped her. Not a good impression by this person, she was also not so friendly in communication towards us. The other waiters were quite friendly en the food was ok. But not keeping a promise to let us sit outside left a bitter taste.

03/06/2026: A comfortable, simply furnished hotel, perfect for a stopover from May 28th to 29th for two couples. We enjoyed a good evening meal featuring melted cheese and a good breakfast with local products. There's a private, gated parking lot opposite the hotel, and we were very pleased with the advice we received about visiting the menhir in the park via the path behind the hotel, and about finding the farms in Beau-le-Froid that sell delicious farm-made Saint-Nectaire cheese. Thank you for your hospitality.
