24/08/2024: I drove 50 minutes to come and eat at this hostel that I had been told about. No regrets. The all-you-can-eat frogs are just succulent, I had them twice and a 3rd would not have been reasonable but a great temptation. The desserts are enormous, special mention to the pistachio bavarois, a killer. The setting is nice and calm to see that it was full. The welcome is great, the little waitress is adorable and the owner is very pleasant. I would happily come back. It would just be cool to accept well-behaved dog pts who are used to it and don't move.

13/09/2024: Very nice little restaurant on the Puy de Dôme road. The delicious Pounti, and the excellent truffade. Very good and original desserts. Reasonable prices. Our animals were welcomed there without problem. Fast and friendly service. Go there with your eyes closed.

09/11/2024: Avec ma famille nous avons décidé de manger ici pour Toussaint (repas de midi sur réservation) et nous avons été très déçus. La serveuse était peu gracieuse, nous avons eu l’impression de la déranger. Nous sommes arrivés à 12h30, certains des plats à la carte n’était déjà plus disponibles. Nous avons fait le choix d’une cuisse de canard confite à 20€ et lorsque celle-ci est arrivée, nous avons été très surpris de voir qu’elle était posée sur une assiette, sans présentation, sans accompagnement, sans sauce… rien. Pour ce prix là, un peu de sauce aurait été le minimum. Une fois arrivés au dessert, là encore, il manquait de nombreux desserts pourtant affichés à la carte. Nous étions 12 à la table et il ne restait que 4 desserts, certains ont donc dû se priver ou alors prendre deux boules de glaces puisqu’il n’y avait plus assez de desserts. Pour conclure, ce restaurant n’a pas du tout un bon rapport qualité-prix. Pour ce prix là, vous pouvez être bien mieux reçus et surtout manger beaucoup mieux.

06/11/2024: Ce restaurant spécialisé en viande (et truffade) est excellent ! Les quantités et les prix sont justes, la cuisson est bien maîtrisée, et surtout, la viande est délicieuse. La cuisine est simple et les tarifs bien plus raisonnables que ceux d’autres établissements situés à quelques centaines de mètres. Les desserts maison sont aussi très bons, et le gérant est vraiment sympa. À essayer absolument !

24/09/2024: Meilleur restaurant du Mont Dore. J'y ai mangé tous les soirs durant 10 jours. Plats variés et tous aussi bons les uns que les autres. La truffade est excellente notamment. Le restaurant fait d'ailleurs le plein tous les soirs.

08/09/2024: Simplement parce qu’il n’y a aucun chichi dans cette adresse. Le charme désuet d’un autre temps. Cadre rustique et suranné. Mais là où ça devient intéressant, c’est la qualité de la viande, c’est tout simplement incroyable. J’ai testé l’araignée sauce à l’échalote, à un prix tout à fait raisonnable, un bon morceau pour environ 15 €. Je n’ai pas le souvenir d’avoir mangé une viande aussi bonne auparavant au restaurant. Ce sera un incontournable lors de mon prochain séjour à Clermont !

15/09/2024: Très décevant : le rapport qualité &prix est loin de la moyenne. Truffade en quantité très limitée, poisson juste chaud, fromage sans pain... sans parler du manque d'amabilite de la serveuse... Nous étions 5 adultes et 3 enfants et avons laissé 300€..... Le seul point fort est le service des menus enfants très rapide.
