12/08/2026: Great welcome, very pleasant. It's not necessarily "the place" for a full meal, more for cheap snacks like salads, sandwiches, fries, etc. However, the service is truly excellent, so if you're passing through Chantemerle, stop by! 😉

18/07/2026: APPALLING! We waited over twenty minutes and no one came to take our order. Even worse, tables that arrived after us were served. What is it they don't understand about the word "professional"?!

16/07/2026: Very nice setting next to the square and excellent staff/service. We received a very warm welcome and the chef was able to adapt the dish for my daughter who has a food intolerance. The meal was delicious. A very good experience!

23/07/2026: Overall rating: 3/5 for dinner on July 18, 2026 The owner was very friendly and possessed genuine human qualities (he let us taste the wine before choosing the bottle, an excellent choice for this local vintage from the Hautes-Alpes). The rest of the dish and the dessert were also very good. The only drawback, and a significant one at that, was the sirloin steak. Although cooked rare as requested, it was not at all tender, which is a real shame for such a cut of beef. It was my 50th birthday, and I greatly appreciated the sparkling candle thoughtfully placed on my dessert. However, I mentioned the problem with the meat to the waiter and the owner, but no compensation was offered. This is regrettable, because otherwise, I would gladly have given it 5/5. I had even planned to treat myself to a nice digestif for the occasion, but the disappointment put me off. I left feeling a little disappointed. The owner replied on July 21st (see below). Here is my new message on July 23rd: Hello, Thank you for your thoughtful reply. We are still in the area for a few more days. Unfortunately, we won't be able to come back for dinner: besides the cost, the €120 bill is a significant sum for us, and we live in Brittany, 1000 km away. It's a shame that the appropriate response you mentioned could only take the form of another invitation to dine with you. However, if the opportunity arises to simply stop by and say hello and share a quick drink, we would be delighted. It would be a nice way to end this experience on a more positive note. 05/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! A warm and welcoming restaurant with a fantastic team! The dishes were as delicious as they were beautiful!

20/08/2026: WARNING!!! Under new ownership since December 2024. The menu, staff, and prices are completely different. Very disappointed that they advertised "homemade" food that was anything but. A grumpy waitress, a minimalist menu that's all over the place... In short, all good things must come to an end, and our favorite holiday restaurant is no more...

14/08/2026: We initially stopped there for a light snack on the terrace (the Liège waffles were excellent). And, looking at the menu, we were drawn to their Savoyard cider fondue... So we decided to try it and went back one evening. What a great decision! The fondue lived up to the first good impression we had made with the Liège waffles. The food was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and very accommodating. In short, a pleasant atmosphere, and we enjoyed everything there. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a good place for a meal, a snack, or even just a drink.

08/09/2026: The food was excellent! How can you put tables outside with a constant smell of urine and dog poop all along the street? And the stench... avoid this place and consider moving.

22/07/2026: Our second visit to this Indian restaurant during our vacation in Gap, for the second year in a row… and we loved it just as much as before! Everything is there for a wonderful experience: a warm welcome, attentive service, and delicious, fragrant, and very generous portions. Every bite is a true journey to India. The tasteful decor and ambient music immediately immerse you in a warm and exotic atmosphere. You feel truly at ease. A must-visit that we wholeheartedly recommend. It has become a highlight of our vacation, and we will be back with immense pleasure next year!

13/08/2026: I make a point of going there every time I'm on holiday in the area; it's always just as good. However, the portion sizes have become incredibly stingy...and they refuse credit card payments, but they're very good at directing you to the nearest ATM, no kidding...
