29/09/2025: We came for lunch on Saturday and had a very, very good meal. The food was very good and very well prepared. We each had a Caesar salad, a blueberry tart, a real delight, and two scoops of ice cream. The welcome was excellent, and even better for the welcome from your wonderful dog (I don't know her name ;). Thanks to you, we had a very pleasant time in your restaurant. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

12/03/2026: We had a fantastic evening! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great laugh, both with our waiter Jeff and chef Gabi. Everything was delicious and homemade: from the foie gras and tartiflette to the crêpes, everything was perfect, absolutely flawless! It's a shame we only discovered this welcoming place on the last day of our stay... because if we had found it earlier, we would have gone every day! Thank you to the whole team! 🤩

08/03/2026: Excellent experience. Pleasant setting in Vars Sainte Marie, sunny terrace. Special kudos to our waiter Jeff, who goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience! It's a real pleasure to have such friendly service that manages to stay motivated despite some downright rude and disrespectful customers (thanks to Zone C). In short, a great restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the Claux ski area!

20/05/2026: Quiet and well-located hotel. Generous breakfast. It's a shame the spring mattress wasn't comfortable.

18/05/2026: The building is incredible, the welcome is very warm, the view from the restaurant, the spa (which I highly recommend, especially for the Nordic bath and its mountain view), and the rooms (we had a deluxe room) is simply sublime, no noise, the breakfast is very good and the room is magnificent, we loved it!!

13/06/2026: What a wonderful discovery! The dining room completely immerses you in a chalet atmosphere. The waitress was very attentive and bubbly! A lovely moment shared with her. Kudos also to the chef for the dishes. Perfectly cooked, and a special mention for the breaded Maroilles cheese!!! Delicious! We'll definitely be back.

26/04/2026: As a regular customer, coming several times a week, I know this bakery well because it's located right next to my work... I'm torn between the convenience of its proximity and a few persistent issues, despite the staff doing their best. At lunchtime: The biggest drawback is clearly the slow service. Waiting in the left-hand line to order food can take 20 minutes. Some people don't understand, then cut in front of you when they realize they're in the wrong place. The system isn't optimal. While other bakeries or busy shops have a single cashier handling payments while the others serve... here, each server handles their own order, preparation, and payment at ONE register for sometimes two or three people! It's far too slow at lunchtime, and it's increasingly making me avoid going there during my break. Regarding the food quality, everything is fine, similar to any bakery, with a few differences like the pizzas being made on-site, which aren't bad at all. The rest is comparable to the competition. The prices are also on par. The bread is good, and the pastries are very good. There's a loyalty card system, but nothing advantageous, and more importantly, they never ask for it. It's difficult to justify reminding us of our loyalty five times a week. In short, the food is decent, the staff is great, but the lunchtime service is terrible.

06/05/2026: Here, we're at the end of the world, it's as if time has stood still! A little piece of Lapland in the high Alps. The snow avalanches impressed me!

12/04/2026: The best mountain refuge/hostel we've ever stayed in, without a doubt! Pierre is incredibly kind, cooks delicious meals, and was a huge help in getting us through to the emergency services (15) after a skiing accident! We ate like kings and slept in clean sheets (unlike at the Glacier Blanc refuge...!). The food here is local, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. In short, we'll be back! Thank you for everything!

27/02/2026: My 2021 review: Very good restaurant, beautiful decor. Excellent pizzas and crepes. The only downside was the Lipton tea. The tables are close together and the stairs to the restrooms are a bit dangerous, as befits the medieval style. The avocado in the savory crepe was an excellent idea. Lovely atmosphere. My 2026 review: Excellent two-meat lasagna. The pizzas are generous. Children are very well looked after (coloring books to keep them occupied, preferences taken into account when designing the pizza), as are dogs! The service was as friendly as could be! A big thank you!

24/05/2026: This is an establishment I frequented some twenty years ago, when it still operated under the "Relais du Silence" label, a chain that has since dissolved. And during a seasonal stay in the region, I rediscovered it with all its former charm and picturesque character, which I particularly appreciate. What I love and seek out are inns because they provide lodging and meals for travelers, and this hotel-restaurant has retained this valued principle along with its quality of service.

13/01/2026: A perfectly decent meal for the price. €80 for 1 Coke, 1 draft beer, 2 omelets with fries, 1 pasta dish, 3 desserts, and 3 coffees. Not to mention the very warm welcome.

The welcome is warm, I love that the sandwiches aren't pre-made, that you can choose your bread, your sauce... 😃 And now, I've just discovered the soft baguette... 🤤 I have to stop this, I'm gaining weight like crazy! 🤣🤣🤣 No, that's not true: keep it up!!! 👍

14/06/2026: Excellent restaurant! We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The owner and the waiter were very attentive and caring throughout the meal. Special mention goes to the burger, which was generous and incredibly tasty, with cheese oozing out just the way we like it! The homemade fries were also excellent and perfectly complemented the burger. A truly great place that we highly recommend. Thank you for your warm welcome and this delicious meal!
