03/01/2026: A mixed experience. On the one hand, the self-service system with the conveyor belt is very intriguing; you choose what you want as it passes by. But on the other hand, in terms of value for money, it's average. The quality of the food is good, but for twenty or thirty euros per person, you won't necessarily be satisfied. The prices aren't very clearly displayed, so you eat without really realizing what you're paying. In short, a pleasant experience, but for this price, I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't go back.

22/12/2025: I agree with all the positive reviews. HOWEVER, on a weekday, we arrived at 12:20 PM: 1. Of the two daily specials, only one remained, namely white pudding. The guinea fowl had been replaced with pork stir-fry. 2. The crumble for dessert was gone! Fortunately, the other dishes were very good. 3. Finally, the bill did not match the menu we were served. Thank you for the warm welcome and service. We stop at roadside and workers' restaurants, so we can make objective comparisons.

20/12/2025: We were disappointed by the seafood gratin, which was very difficult to digest; the sauce was thick and strange (pre-packaged?). The buffet was certainly well-stocked but lacked flavor. The red fruit dessert was odd and tasteless. The menu was inexpensive but left a bad impression and didn't encourage us to return!

26/08/2024: Very friendly restaurant, pleasant waitresses, tasty pizzas and very drinkable cocktails to contradict an old opinion of a certain “nicolas” yet another soc case who thinks he is all powerful in front of his screen!!!🙄 keep it up in any case 👍

29/11/2024: Suggestion of the day: Sauerkraut stamped “la Paix” (which seems to be a signature dish of which we are proud) at 17€50 served with rather bland and lukewarm cabbage, 1 frankfurter, 1 slice of sausage to cook, 1 piece bacon and 1/4 potato... Not to mention the pint of beer ordered which arrives at the end of the dish due to waiting at the bar... Expensive, long service, insufficient quantity and without much taste interest!

06/01/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. I ordered a kebab that was of very poor quality. Huge chunks of meat, tough and rubbery. The meat wasn't veal but turkey… I was served a kebab without any vegetables. Just meat and a minimal amount of sauce. The bread was also very mediocre. Avoid this place at all costs! This type of food is not worth €11 for a meal!

10/12/2025: A traditional bistro setting with an immersive atmosphere, banquette seating, classic bouchon-style dishes, and quality napkins and cutlery. Attentive and professional service. For discerning palates, it's a solid choice, which is quite rare in Grenoble and worth mentioning. The cooking and seasoning are perfectly executed; it's fresh, you can see it, and it smells delicious. The prices are fair. What more could you ask for? I'll definitely be back.

26/12/2025: The prices are inflated; I imagine it's for wealthy tourists. Aside from the €1.60 pain au chocolat, it was good, so I'll come back.

23/12/2025: We enjoyed frog legs during a family meal. I eat them extremely rarely. They were delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed them, feeling like a child again. Well done to the chef. The desserts, however, were unremarkable.

26/11/2025: Very generous portions and very good food. Great atmosphere and beautiful setting. Friendly staff. I've been more than 5 times in 3 years and have never been disappointed. Remember to book in the summer.

27/01/2026: Great burgers, courteous service with a smile. About the only place in the area, or one of the few that doesn't require a reservation. Very reasonable prices. Kid-friendly. Value for money!

17/01/2026: First restaurant experience in Les Deux Alpes and we were absolutely not disappointed with our choice. The service from two very pleasant ladies was excellent. We had fish burgers with fries and an ocean (tuna) pizza. The kids loved it! It will be a destination for every season.

31/01/2026: Bad experience on our visit. We stopped for lunch on our way home on a Saturday, and the restaurant was only about a third full. It's not what it used to be. There was no welcome salad, and we waited an hour before being served dishes that were frankly underwhelming and half cold, even though we knew they were frozen. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for our plates to be collected. No desserts were offered to children on their kids' menus. There wasn't an apology for the wait and the inconvenience, not even a free coffee. The young waitstaff were very pleasant and smiling, but clearly not experienced. There's no owner, so there's no professionalism in either the kitchen or the dining room. The changes following the group's bankruptcy are noticeable.

30/01/2026: Personally, we've been going to this Courtepaille restaurant for over 15 years and have always been satisfied with the service and the food. Occasionally, we see a mistake with the cooking of the meat, but nobody's perfect; it happens at home too. The staff is very courteous and attentive to the customer. And of course, there's the owner, Patrick, who has been running the place for several years. He's charming and very sociable with his customers. We go there regularly and are never disappointed. We highly recommend the duck confit and, of course, the andouillette sausage, but everything else is always very good.
