21/09/2024: L endroit est sympa et très agréable sur les hauteurs de la vallée du gresivaudan mais si vous voulez avoir la quantité n y aller pas pour manger... vous ressortirai avec la faim au ventre. 18 euros pour 3 minuscules morceaux de viande, 2 feuilles de salade et un peu de féculent... c est abusé! Dommage car le cadre est sympa.

31/08/2024: Adulterated beers, storage of barrels in direct sunlight during delivery, noise well beyond reasonable and regulatory limits (I live 500m away and my dishes are made of aspen). This place is also a haunt of thieves and drug addicts; the days after parties, the surrounding area is littered with garbage of all kinds.

Very friendly with all customers without distinction. The ladies are less friendly on the other hand but he is a gem, keep him!

17/09/2024: Here is my review of the left bank:
- The pizzas are not good, the ingredients are of poor quality. The pizza dough in particular needs to be reviewed.
- Lots of spelling mistakes on the menu
- Pizzas way too expensive for what it is. The value for money is not there.
That being said, the staff was not bad but the atmosphere seemed more like a canteen than a restaurant with an Italian atmosphere.

24/05/2024: The sporting is a high end bar / restaurant. The drinks were fantastic but the food was expensive for what it was worth. We ordered deer with potatoes and chestnuts, it came in a big pot, the meat was warm but not hot, we struggled to actually find the chestnuts. This said the ambiance and decor reminded us of a british hunting club and there was live music. The bar was good but the restaurant needs to relook their prices.

Ça fait 30 ans que nous venons à l'Alpe d'huez et que nous connaissons bon nombre de restaurants dont le Sporting qui vient de changer de proprietaire.
Quand on veut monter en gamme un des endroits emblématiques de l'Alpe il ne faut pas se cantonner à refaire la déco...
Si on veut déjeuner tardivement à l'extérieur (14 heures) c'est trop tard...cuisines fermées!
Si on veut prendre un verre à 18h30 à l'intérieur (en Février) c'est trop tard les tables sont posées et le bar inaccessible !
Un bar restaurant soit disant branché...pas très tolérants pas du tout commerçant .
Petit conseil révisez votre copie pour la prochaine saison car a trop vouloir offrir des horaires strictes sur les before ski les after ski les ceci les cela rien n'est souple et détendu comme devrait être un établissement pour des vacanciers en quête d'un bel endroit!

11/09/2024: A reference if there is one, the Paul establishment located in the heart of the center of the Bonne barracks commercial area in Grenoble, is faithful to the level of quality of its numerous references of pastries, breads, sandwiches and drinks. I recommend one of their best pastries of your choice, topped off with a homemade hot chocolate, the ultimate in the matter. With an incomparable creaminess that will make connoisseurs and the most gourmets of this nectar of the gods pale....
And how can we not mention the most pleasant room with chairs or armchairs around round tables which perfectly complete this relaxing place. On the other hand, if you are lucky enough to have the sun that day, don't hesitate to enjoy the terrace with arbor alongside your friends. The chain of Paul stores, the first of which was created at the end of the 19th century (1887), an establishment which has numerous branches. It goes without saying that we recommend this very welcoming business.

01/09/2024: A perfect bakery for a gourmet stopover (I think I understood the name of the bakery). More seriously, I'm never disappointed when I go there, always a good stock of bread, a little less in the pastries but at the same time that's understandable because everything is delicious, not to mention the pastries! It has space to eat on site inside and outside when the weather permits and even where to have a good coffee! The thing that gets people talking about this place is the “small supermarket” space, but with local products that are both sweet and savory, foodies beware!!
28/08/2024: By the way, I sometimes buy bread which is good.
I tried to make a white ham sandwich today: part of it ended up in the trash: stuffy bread, fatty and overly salty ham, strips of cheese without any taste... it's not complicated to make, however. make a good ham/butter (and not margarine) for €4.5!

31/08/2024: It's a very small fast food restaurant with only 2 tables outside.
The food is very good, the spring rolls cost €2.50 and are huge.
We ordered two: pork with caramel, beef with 5 spices, 3 spring rolls, 3 spring rolls, all for €28 (and we had some for the next day).
Missing a little smile from the waitress though ^^
18/08/2024: Rolls: very delicate, the mere pressure of the fingers exerted in order to trace an itinerary starting from the plate to reach the mouth proves sufficient to ensure that these release liters of the re-frying oil of which they are sensationally full.
Sautéed spaghetti: in defiance of the baroque opulence of Nouvelle cuisine, the chef surprises us with a minimalism of expertly chosen ingredients: literally tagliatelle with carrots and glutamate.
Caramelized pork: oh well, meat in broth.
The real note of excellence, however, concerns the diligence of the staff: non-existent. You couldn't imagine a couple more pissed off from work, practically than the revived Marx and Engels: the dishes rigorously already ready and displayed on the counter for I don't know how many days are heated in the microwave oven if necessary and slapped onto the plate by them total contempt for the vile journalistic veneer of that intrinsically liberal practice otherwise known as "plating". emblematic in this are the spaghetti, served in a round bowl still all piled up in a rectangular-shaped glue, a cast of the tray in which they were previously placed. How can we not read this as propaganda carried out with facts? The refusal of formal adherence to the ideology of the end of history. After all, doesn't the mass of spaghetti symbolize another "mass", namely the proletarian one? Doesn't the starchy compactness of these perhaps recall that unity and strength possible in the collective unveiling of class consciousness in Lukacsian memory?
And finally, what can we say about these Bonnie and Clydes of socialism, who as soon as we have finished consuming our food firmly order us to clear the table ourselves? Here is the Zietgaist of the time: the subordinate classes, now intolerant of bosses' interference, are no longer willing to submit to any form of servility.
Finally, a note of color inherent to the location: an anonymous little street in a good neighborhood, quite close to the center, of an insipid and gray city in Savoy. And yet, I witness it, right here, right today, between the chamber of commerce and a historically Italian restaurant, a man, in a time set aside in the secular liturgy of consumption for the aperitif of his own death, perhaps inspired by his proximity to the Vietnamese avant-garde , made those bureaucratic urban planners who were followers of Le Corbusier tremble, who so intensely dream of urban spaces that can be crossed without leaving a trace.
And it is in this way, because of them, that today a man reminded us that it is with spontaneity that situations and revolutions take shape: autonomously, through parthenogenesis and poetry, escaping preconceptions and planning of any kind.
And it is in this way that today a Napoleon who crowned himself his own emperor, in that ten minute interlude that we dedicated to our dinner, completely destroyed the glass of our car window in an inspired attempt at theft. Hope is bright and remains: have we witnessed the beginning of the end of this dying society? That one day the history books will talk about this August 17th in Grenoble as the epicenter of the revolution to come?
