26/08/2024: A big plus for the appetizer which was hummus. Bravo for the initiative. Be careful with the other dishes, however: the pasta had no taste and was overcooked while the chocolate cake was overcooked inside. The service was good otherwise.

22/01/2026: Overall, the dishes were very appealing visually, but unfortunately the flavors did not live up to expectations. The restaurant seems to be aiming for a bistronomie style, but the execution still needs refinement and more depth. For example, the lamb was overcooked, served with almost no sauce, and the different elements on the plate did not work well together. We had a similar experience with most of the dishes: pleasantly surprised by their presentation, yet consistently disappointed by the taste. The only exception was the dessert, which was good, although overly sweet. We also noticed other guests complaining about the cooking of their fish, which suggests this was not an isolated issue. Finally, the service was disappointing at the end of the meal. The bill was brought to us immediately after dessert, without us asking for it, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome. Considering the price range and the quality of other restaurants in Alpe d’Huez, Le Génépi was a disappointment

22/01/2026: This restaurant came recommended, so we were expecting something quite tasty. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be very average, and the service was extremely slow at times.

05/09/2024: The restaurant offers Italian dishes. There isn't much choice but they are all made very well with the right ingredients. I recommend the carbonara: the bacon was not exaggerated and the taste was very good. Perhaps due to the rain the restaurant seemed a little empty.

05/09/2024: Je suis venu fêter avec mon fils, dans ce restaurant, sa première location d'appartement et nous avons pu passer une excellente soirée, dans un cadre fort sympathique. De l'entrée au dessert nous nous sommes régalés. Je n'avais au préalable pas vérifier la carte ni les tarifs... ils sont un peu élevés mais je n'avais qu'à vérifier avant. Cependant, leur gentillesse, les conseils et la cuisine raffinée vaux le détour. Un bel endroit pour un repas en amoureux pour une prochaine fois. Je recommande.

06/08/2024: Deuxième fois que nous mangeons dans ce restaurant, toujours parfait à tous les niveaux, cuisine, personnel, et une patronne super sympathique et très professionnelle, quant aux petites tartelettes à la praline que nous avons emportées, simplement une tuerie. 31/08/2025: Personalized, energizing and relaxing stay at Domaine de Clairefontaine at a fabulous family company STRENGTHS The personalised service from Laurence the owner whom is already running this business for about +30 years. I have a lot of respect for building such a great, personalised & refined boutique hotel with 18 hotel rooms and a refined restaurant. She was super accommodating & caring for our beloved labrador dog Bailey, they left dog treats in the room, took really the time to engage with me in a conversation. As I enjoyed it so much, I recommended it to my parents in law too, which will be staying with you in October. POINTS OF IMPROVEMENT If I had to mention a couple of detailed point of improvements, it would be as follows: - 1. No room glossary with phone numbers. They offered me luggage support to my car, but could not ring them with the internal phone, so had to call via my own personal phone. Might be an idea - 2. Lovely breakfast buffet, with a fresh à la carte breakfast offering, however, in such a beautiful boutique hotel in the French countryside of Condrieu / Rhône, you would expect a refined barista offering, instead of Nespresso (my subjective opinion) - 3. It was a shame the restaurant wasn't open, they offered me a different dining option instead one day prior to arrival, which I thought was a great gesture, but I already had booked a different

08/09/2024: Several times I come here for kimchi jiggae (vegetarian version) and I never get tired of it! Friendly service and dishes full of flavor for a price that is not excessive. I would come back again 👍🏻

05/09/2024: My favourite restaurant so far in the 5 days I've been in Grenoble. Delicious and great cost-performance ratio. I should add that I eat Korean a lot, and it tasted pretty authentic.
