25/05/2026: A wonderful welcome in a unique setting. As I'm vegan, I let them know by phone, and they were very accommodating in preparing what they could with what they had on hand, and it was perfect. My father and his friend really enjoyed the traditional dishes they ordered. I'm sure the chef could cook them with his eyes closed, given his experience. A huge thank you to this family of restaurateurs for their kindness and attentiveness. It's a very pleasant place to be!

30/06/2026: Unless things have changed, I'm discovering this restaurant and I'm finding some of the comments really harsh. The food is really good, and there's a lot of homemade stuff, especially the spring rolls. The salads are a welcome change from the mass-produced kind, and the five-spice beef was very good, to name just a few. In short, the value for money is excellent.

28/06/2026: Missed items in the order, lukewarm drinks, dry burgers with no sauce, and cold fries—the whole nine yards in one order! I'll drive further next time and go to the McDonald's in Pont-de-Beauvoisin. It's not the first time I've been disappointed with the McDonald's in Les Abrets. Zero quality…

26/06/2026: Great experience at McDonald's! Fast and efficient service, welcoming and friendly staff. Orders are well prepared and served hot. Ideal for a quick meal in a simple and friendly atmosphere. Always convenient for a break or a quick bite. I recommend it!

21/04/2026: Excellent restaurant with a wide range of traditional French dishes. Generous portions, fast service, and a convenient location for any nearby activities. The only downside is that they don't take reservations, which can be a real issue during peak season or major events. Regardless, if you're in Alpe d'Huez, it’s a must-stop for great French food at reasonable prices.

06/07/2026: Very disappointed. At first glance, it was nice. The setting was pleasant, the decor was nice. However, when you get to the room, what a letdown! The room was small, the shower room tiny, the toilet access uncomfortable, the tap wobbly (between us, what a disgrace, you should be reimbursed for the installation), the mattress needs replacing, and the cleaning was questionable. There were large clumps of hair on the floor (and no, it wasn't mine, I'm blonde with short hair, it was long, straight black hair). Breakfast could be much better; was it bread from Lidl? It looked like it. In short, I won't be going back anytime soon.

23/06/2026: I had a Kinder Bueno muffin tonight, and I immediately got sick—diarrhea and stomach pains. You should keep your muffins, especially since they contain cream, in the refrigerated display case, not outside, because with the sun beating down, the cream spoils quickly.

03/06/2026: As a regular customer, I'm shocked by the quality and service today. A €5.80 tuna sandwich was made to order because the display case was empty: the result is a rip-off. The sandwich is completely empty, barely any tuna and three measly bits of processed egg placed on the edge to give the illusion of something else (see photo). To top it all off: I called to complain, and the manager was incredibly disrespectful and condescending, openly telling me he didn't care about my opinion. No one would have bought this sandwich if it had been on display. Zero professionalism, avoid at all costs.

14/06/2026: Arriving at 1:30 PM, we were told the place would close at 2:00 PM. She saw us arrive and put up the "closed" sign even though we hadn't arrived yet.

05/06/2026: I had a wonderful time at La Taverne. I was greeted by a particularly friendly and smiling woman, which immediately put me at ease. My order was taken quickly, and the service was smooth and efficient throughout the meal. As for the food, I enjoyed a delicious salad, a generously topped pizza, and a dessert to finish on a sweet note. Simple but well-prepared dishes that made for a pleasant experience. A welcoming place where you receive a warm welcome and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it.
