20/08/2024: A rather special way of receiving. A sense of business like you will rarely have seen and an owner who totally inspires you to go elsewhere. I should have looked at the 1 star reviews!

12/08/2024: What a delightful experience. This is a fabulous restaurant with fresh, tasty food. Our reception was kind and being a vegetarian, I left very satisfied and very full. They are only open for four services a week, but do yourself a favor and put in the effort to enjoy a lunch or dinner here. You won’t regret it.

24/07/2024: As a starter, I had a platter of varied fried foods, consisting of spring rolls, ravioli and fritters. Everything was very greasy. To follow a beef with onions. Good but very salty. on the other hand, the fried Chinese noodles are very good. Mixed meal for €22 I often eat in Asian restaurants, this one is not in the head pelon.

16/08/2024: 3e visite à ce restaurant qui nous avait enchanté les fois précédentes avec des souvenirs mémorables, un 2* qui tutoyait facilement la 3e. Malheureusement, même si le service reste agréable et le cadre magnifique, la cuisine était ce soir la sans inspiration et vraiment décevante par rapport à l'ambition affichée. Est ce le changement récent de chef? Aucun plat ne nous a marqué, amuses bouches ratés, trop de prétention dans l'assiette par rapport au résultat. Dommage, on espère que cela va se remettre en place. L'hôtel est toujours aussi agréable, et le bistrot est quant à lui parfait dans son rapport qualité prix!

30/07/2024: Un cadre magnifique pour une très belle cuisine… MAIS Dans « l’ensemble », une belle cuisine et beaucoup de travail, il n’y a pas de doute, pour le menu dégustation avec accord mets et Boissons (pas mets et vins…?) Les saveurs sont au rendez-vous, à l’exception de la pièce de veau et de son ris, plus quelconque. Le dessert chocolat est une des vrais surprises du repas, vraiment formidable bien qu’étant en fin de repas. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée, en extérieur, en terminant sous un ciel étoilé. Néanmoins une déception sur deux points : - il est regrettable de mettre en avant la selection des fromages par le « MOF et ex champion du monde des fromages » : plateau vraiment décevant (et on sait de quoi on parle). Comté ultra basique, affinage carrément raté pour l’un d’entre eux, offre réduite, aucune « surprise ». Tous les fromages dans notre frigo à la maison sont plus savoureux que ceux du plateau. Regrettable non ?!! - enfin, vraiment, l’accord met et vin n’est clairement pas au rendez-vous d’un étoilé. Si nous avions su (je sais, facile à dire à posteriori), nous aurions bien évidemment choisi une ou deux belles bouteilles à la place ! Vraiment dommage, aucun des vins ne nous a laissé bonne impression, du « tout venant ». Meme pas un « hummmm…. Très interessant celui là ». Bref nous sommes très loins d’un bon chablis, d’un bon sancerre et encore très très loin d’un verre de Meursault Coche-Dury comme dans notre avant-dernier repas étoilé (avec accord mets et vins lui aussi). Non vraiment c’est le champagne Mandarine à l’apéro qui surclassait l’ensemble. Si l’idée est de marger de façon excessive sur les boissons, c’est raté car nous ne reviendrons pas, uniquement pour cette raison, alors que la cuisine en vaut la peine et que nous pourrions, vous me direz, prendre une bouteille à la carte. Mais non, nous ne reviendrons pas de si tôt, alors que nous adorons la région. Alors Mr le sommelier, faites un (vrai) effort !

23/08/2024: We have been looking for the same dishes for almost 20 years and now, nothing to see...but what happened? Overcooked rice, lack of taste, chicken cut too large, caramel sauce not syrupy and without caramelized taste.

16/08/2024: Des très bonnes pizzas avec des ingrédients frais et de qualité. Nous avons aussi gouté les glaces artisanales. Tout est très bon, nous recommandons.

16/08/2024: Unfortunately disappointed by the prices applied. Certainly the setting of the castle remains pleasant but the room unfortunately has no charm... The waiters are not organized, our little one had time to eat her child's meal even though we had not yet had our drinks... The menus remain much too expensive, including the one for children at €20 for a steak and fries (non-home fries) The cheese plate at €8 is disconcerting like the rest… Addition for 4 people €160…

02/07/2024: What a great boulangerie serving delicious bread as expected , along with tasty rolls, coffee and tea. Went there two days running for breakfast from our hotel round the corner and took away filled rolls, pain au chocolates to take away for our journey to Calais. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They shops in Tours and elsewhere.

10/06/2024: Questionable pastry products, not to mention that the bosses are hateful to the staff. Flee this establishment!

07/09/2024: Great restaurant! We go there often with my colleagues. Beautiful setting, friendly and dynamic staff. Good dishes especially the salads! Good value for money.

01/09/2024: We had reserved this restaurant for 6 people for my son's birthday and what a disappointment. We arrived at 7:45 p.m., we waited a long time to be served. We had ordered 3 drafts in 50 cl. The beer arrived for 30 minutes later and hot served with not fresh, very soft chips..we place an order and wait 1h30.a starter arrives avocado cut in two no presentation and mini shrimps in a box without taste thrown into the avocado. no taste not good at all. my wife ordered a risotto it arrived crushed on a plate but instead of rice they put the uncooked ebli and the squid very rubbery inedible. so my wife did not eat it .the entrecotes are very fatty and the meat is not tender, half thrown away. the bread arrived hard and not fresh. In short, a real disaster worthy of a nightmare in the kitchen. so we stopped the meal and went to eat dessert at the restaurant next door. in short, an establishment to flee. I swore to myself never to return there again. catastrophic experience.
