28/06/2026: An impressive fortress complex with a castle. A visit is highly recommended. The fortress is truly worth seeing. There's also a medieval garden and wonderful hiking trails through the forest. The Nantes-Brest Canal with its cycle path runs right past it.

08/08/2026: 10 euros for this? A disgrace! Even at 3 euros, it would still be a disgrace to offer this to customers. The general standard in Nantes is very low: fatty meat, cut into chunks, frozen fries, industrial sauce. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! BOYCOTT

18/07/2026: I ate there 5 hours ago. I ordered the "radical" with steak and cordon bleu. About an hour and a half ago, I started getting unbearable stomach cramps. I made myself vomit, which helped, but I still have the pain. First and last time I'll eat at that restaurant.

09/08/2026: A beautiful, historic establishment located in a vibrant, multi-ethnic neighborhood just a short distance from the Voltaire metro station. It's popular with locals and, in addition to its delicious cuisine, is renowned for its many variations of absinthe, which is served in the traditional manner, with the classic cold water fountain and a spoon holding a sugar cube. Highly recommended.

26/07/2026: Hello, here is a loaf of organic whole wheat bread I bought yesterday evening at 6 pm. The friendly salesperson asked me if I wanted it sliced. I said yes, but I hoped it wasn't too hot so the crumb wouldn't stick. "No problem," he replied. And this is how I found my bread this morning... impossible to separate the slices, they literally crumbled! I'm posting this review because this isn't the first time! It's the same thing every time! At first, they told me the bread was too hot, that that was probably the reason... I don't know what organic flour you use, but the quality is definitely not there! Please take our comments into account to improve.

Everything was meticulously prepared, generous, and delicious… **Our guests were delighted, and the compliments were unanimous!** But then… **THE CAKE!!! 🤩** We had high expectations for this symbolic 50th birthday celebration, and the result exceeded all our expectations. **It was simply INCREDIBLE.** Spectacular, magnificent, impressive… and as beautiful as it was delicious! When it arrived, it elicited a genuine **“WOW”** from everyone. This was exactly the kind of moment we dreamed of creating for this birthday. 17/08/2026: The waiting room was sweltering during the heatwave, and I had to wait four hours after my train was cancelled.

17/08/2026: A dome of heat... South entrance, a paved plaza, tables and benches in full sun. Most of the fans on the upper level aren't working. No train announcements over the PA system; the old-world charm is gone. A staff member quickly announces that the platform information will only be displayed 20 minutes before departure: a fleeting, lightning-fast appearance. Access to the platform is handled by staff who are slightly (or even more than slightly) grumpy; greetings and smiles are perhaps in the lost and found. Of course, how can you blame these people who work in the furnace of a building designed to roast passengers and staff as surely as a summer barbecue? They are there, faithful to their posts, still bravely facing the extreme temperatures, the lack of air, donning their uniforms and caps; we can thank them. The architecture needs to be changed, and the exterior too, to bring some relief from the heat. From the drop-off area to the lobby and then this interminable wait in the sweltering heat, you almost want to talk to the architect or whoever designed this esplanade. A complete failure...

01/08/2026: It's always a great pleasure to return to Le Grand Bleu each year. The meals are delicious, the welcome is always warm with a smile from Virginie and Lea, and the morning coffee is a must. Thank you, Fred, for everything you prepare for us. I highly recommend it.
