11/10/2024: Very beautiful wine bar discovered during our getaway to Angers. A huge choice of wine by the glass or bottle, the boards are such copious and choice of excellent products. The staff is attentive to advise us on wine to accompany the boards. I recommend!!!!!!!

We had the pleasure of tasting an excellent mixed platter accompanied by a very good wine.
The cold meats and cheese were of remarkable quality. And we fell in love with the terrine!
I would return with pleasure.

Francis you are unbeatable, a drink, ten jokes and at the table
21/11/2024: We spent the end of the day and evening at the station café due to an SNCF delay of more than 4 hours.... Francis and his wife were adorable and very welcoming. The beef bourguignon was succulent! We were able to stay after closing, the kindness of Francis spared us the cold, the snow and allowed us to have a good time despite the notorious incompetence of the SNCF. Fortunately there are still people like them! Thank you so much.

15/12/2024: We enjoyed the daily specials and the foie gras burger. The dishes are well prepared, the ingredients fresh and quality and the portions generous (homemade fries ++++). Gourmet coffee is VERY indulgent.
08/12/2024: Very good time spent last night at this restaurant! Homemade cuisine, very smiling and friendly servers. For a first visit to Saumur, it makes you want to come back! I highly recommend!
PS: only small downside, I would have loved a little homemade sauce for the fries instead of sticks, but that's to be choosy! 😊

14/09/2024: La déco de la Salle est un peu rétro avec des tableaux très colorés et amusants.Le service est bien fait et avec le sourire. Les assiettes sont bien présentées et les plats juste assez relevés. La Tatin maison était excellente. Globalement nous avons été satisfaits : bon rapport qualité /prix. Nous y retournerons carDurtal est une halte vers notre trajet sur la côte.
08/08/2024: Where I did my apprenticeship under Monsieur Loison, famous for his Norwegian omelette, I was his last apprentice. I live in London but look forward to revisiting soon..Fabulous menu on offer, so far so good!

The creative knife tartare menu is a real delight, with surprising flavors like the Thai ginger tartare, perfectly balanced and refined. The fresh fries cooked in beef fat add a gourmet and authentic touch. The passionate chef, Bego, trained by big names like Philippe Etchebest, enhances each dish with remarkable mastery. The desserts, combining classics and original creations, are just as memorable, notably the strawberry and red fruit soup accompanied by liquorice ice cream, a real discovery. A moment of culinary happiness suspended in time.

02/08/2024: For local French people this seems like a good restaurant, as a tourist you can only leave disappointed. No fresh ingredients as a starter, poorly cooked meat, saignant seems to be the translation of medium rare, desserts that are way too sweet....
And all this in an unpleasant setting with particularly poor acoustics.
Substandard and absolutely not recommended.
23/07/2024: Visited for lunch, mackerel salad for starters, melt in the mouth tender beef chunks in a wine sauce, peas and carrots (and the obligatory tea cup salad that the French seem to do) and i'le de flottant for dessert. 3 courses in a restaurant with an impressive wall mural, pleasant atmosphere, pleasant attentive staff and all for €15.
