11/04/2026: Cool, but the staff wasn't very welcoming in my opinion; we felt like we were intruding in the bar even though we were the only ones there. Aside from that, good selection of drinks and a nice place.

15/01/2026: J'ai récemment visité La P'tite Ardoise avec un groupe de 6 personnes. Malheureusement, notre expérience a été entachée par un incident particulier et le comportement du serveur, ce qui nous a poussés à prendre la décision de partir. Lorsque nous nous sommes installés à notre table, j'ai placé ma trottinette électrique sur le côté pour des raisons pratiques. Cependant, le serveur a malheureusement trébuché sur celle-ci, ce qui a provoqué un malaise. Au lieu de s'excuser ou de prendre la responsabilité de l'incident, le serveur a réagi de manière peu professionnelle en me forçant à déplacer ma trottinette ailleurs. En tant que client, je m'attendais à une certaine compréhension et courtoisie de la part du personnel du restaurant. Cependant, le comportement du serveur a créé une atmosphère inconfortable et a donné l'impression que j'étais le seul responsable de l'incident, alors qu'il aurait dû être plus prudent lors de ses déplacements. Face à cette situation, notre groupe a pris la décision de quitter le restaurant. Nous étions déçus de la façon dont l'incident a été géré et du manque de professionnalisme du personnel. En tant que client, j'estime qu'il est essentiel de se sentir respecté et bien accueilli dans un établissement, et malheureusement, cette expérience ne répondait pas à ces attentes. J'espère sincèrement que cette critique permettra au restaurant de prendre conscience de cet incident et d'améliorer son service à l'avenir. Je conseille à l'établissement d'adopter une approche plus attentionnée envers ses clients et de veiller à ce que les incidents soient gérés de manière professionnelle et respectueuse.

28/03/2026: We discovered Oto shortly after moving to Cholet 13 years ago, and it quickly became a favorite. The food is delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients, and the service is always welcoming and attentive. This establishment truly deserves to be better known, because despite its qualities, it remains relatively unknown, probably due to its location. In addition, the value for money is excellent, which is a definite plus. A wonderful discovery that I wholeheartedly recommend: once you've tried it, it's hard not to go back!

12/11/2025: Traveling for work in this area from time to time, we went to OTO because I had fond memories of it. We ordered the Chrono menu, and frankly, the dish was rather basic (chicken and rice), a very simple choice, but the portion size was outrageous—far too small to fill us up. Luckily, there was bread. Honestly, paying €19.90 for a dessert, a mini gourmet tea (three small pastries), is a bit much. I don't think I would have complained about the price if it had been €14.90 for a main course and dessert, but they're really pushing the price of the menu. I know restaurants in the city center that are much cheaper, more generous, and just as good. The Chrono menu is best avoided.

17/05/2026: This place has unfortunately become very, very unpleasant. The bouncers are often aggressive, speak rudely to customers, and shout at the slightest thing. This place was once a true institution for Angers nightlife, but the security staff's attitude now completely ruins the atmosphere. You barely set foot on the terrace before being told off for supposedly blocking the way. At 1:20 a.m., the lights come back on, and at 1:30 a.m., customers are rather abruptly ushered out. It's a real shame to see such an iconic establishment decline so much in terms of customer service.

09/05/2026: Very good pub, great atmosphere and lovely terrace. However, it's a shame that, despite being a Paix Dieu ambassador bar, they don't serve it (they serve Kastel Triple instead).

08/04/2026: I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered a sole meunière with carrot parfait as my main course. Without warning, I was served a pan of tasteless vegetables that seemed to have come straight from a frozen bag. For dessert, I ordered a tarte tatin and received a meager circle of undercooked puff pastry topped with a quarter of a baked apple that had never seen a drop of caramel. Tasteless. When you advertise a tarte tatin, you don't serve a tiny apple pastry. I sent my dessert back, and to top it all off, I couldn't even get the crème brûlée; they were out of it. I would have been better off eating at a chain restaurant.

03/12/2025: I enjoyed this restaurant located in the Ibis Styles hotel. The price-quality ratio was good, the dishes were well-prepared and generous. The service was on time, but the setting wasn't magical... but there's construction going on in the hotel at the moment... we'll see. There's also an outdoor area in the summer with singers sometimes, which was nice... plus a pig roast ;))

26/04/2026: Overall, a decent stay with a few points for improvement. The room was spacious and very quiet, which was a plus. However, a major drawback was the bedding: the mattress was very uncomfortable, causing back pain and preventing us from sleeping well. This is especially disappointing given that the establishment advertises quality bedding. The door insulation could also be improved. We were also surprised to find our "Do Not Disturb" sign removed twice by the neighboring room, which was inconvenient. We didn't try the breakfast, but having a kettle in the room was a convenient bonus. In short, a decent stay, but the bedding definitely needs to be replaced.

12/03/2026: After some research, we chose this restaurant for lunch with a friend. We received a very warm welcome, and several dishes were offered in addition to the daily special, with the option of adding a self-service starter (unlimited selection) and/or dessert. The establishment was clean, and the tables were spaced far enough apart to ensure privacy and comfort. The food was simple yet plentiful, the dishes were beautifully presented, and arrived piping hot with efficient service. I gave it 5 stars overall for the service and value for money.

The servers are friendly. We alerted the waiter to the quality of the food and the errors in the order. We were honest and weren't there to make a scene. You offered to take our picture. My mother is 92 years old… she ate well. Yes. But those who ordered the pike-perch weren't satisfied with it. It's always awkward to complain repeatedly about the same meal. We know this is a difficult profession. I think criticism can help us ask the right questions… rather than grumbling at customers.
