11/04/2026: Very disappointed. I asked for a table for two at 12:30 pm but was told it wasn't possible because there was only one person in the kitchen. Why have a menu if you can't even come and eat? Appalling!

02/01/2026: Bistro in the center of Saumur. An unpretentious place, like a neighborhood bar, serving traditional home-style cooking. The duck parmentier and the croque monsieur were delicious. The portions are very generous. The manager was very friendly and did her best to communicate with us even though we don't speak French. The food took a little while to arrive, but that was perfectly reasonable considering she was in charge of the bar, the tables, the kitchen… Good value for money.

19/02/2026: Great place. Real pub vibe, authentic. Typical pub decor. Friendly, top-notch staff. Excellent value for money. I recommend it. Good music. Don't change a thing.

07/02/2026: If you have back problems, the chair is too hard. You have to go to the bar to ask for what you want. To get the menu, you have to scan a QR code.

14/05/2026: We just got a delivery, and my partner had to chase after the driver who decided to give our pizzas to our neighbors instead. He couldn't even be bothered to ring the doorbell to ask if he had the right address...

12/03/2026: We ordered in-store at 8:04 PM. I ordered a Buffalo and a chicken BBQ pizza because I don't eat pork. I got it to go. When I got home, I realized I'd been given a calzone instead of the Buffalo. When I called, the woman told me I'd ordered a calzone, but no, I don't eat pork, so I don't see how I could have ordered a calzone with pork! The restaurant didn't even acknowledge the mistake and didn't offer to let us come back and give us the correct pizza. According to them, since they made a mistake when they put the order down and gave us the calzone, well, the calzone is due! The woman even insisted that I'd ordered the calzone, which is impossible since I don't eat pork. In short, they need to review their order taking and customer service.

08/04/2026: Having come to kill time before my train, naively hoping for a comforting sandwich, I headed for the nearest option… strategic error. To play it safe, I opted for a classic: roast chicken, mayonnaise, salad, tomato, egg. On paper, it was hard to go wrong. First surprise: hygiene standards here seemed to be a purely abstract concept. The same dishcloth was clearly used for everything: plates, work surfaces, and probably soon, customers if necessary. Finally, the long-awaited moment arrived: the tasting. And then, plot twist—the chicken wasn't “roasted,” but clearly still pondering its cooking. Pink, raw, almost ready to return to the barnyard. A truly vibrant culinary experience. And to top it all off, a detour to the restrooms, which perfectly extended the experience: a total immersion in filth. In short: a culinary and sanitary journey I could have gladly done without. Avoid it, unless you like surprises and taking risks.

28/02/2026: The couple is unfriendly, especially the man! Too expensive for the quality of the sandwiches! Avoid this place.

03/03/2026: Excellent bakery and pastry shop, very good products; for me, it's the best bread in Saumur, and the same goes for their pastries. The service is pleasant, and they always think of the little ones by giving them a small cream puff, which isn't always the case in bakeries. I highly recommend it.

13/05/2026: The welcome was passable, and the service seemed arbitrary. The food was decent but overpriced for what it was. The fries were frozen. The website wasn't working. Inappropriate comments and jokes were made at another table by someone with dietary restrictions. The menu was on an A4 sheet of paper that looked like it was from the war.

24/04/2026: Passing through by on my bike, I stopped here and I'm so glad I did! A delicious and generous meal for €18, a real treat 😊 Thank you to the chef and the whole team for the warm welcome. Highly recommended!

19/03/2026: I only used the bar, but it's a calm and pleasant place to have a coffee in the same building as the market, yet separate from it. You can relax there while waiting for your bus or someone who's come to shop in the center of Cholet ❤️

13/04/2026: I ordered a Crousty: the chicken was practically nonexistent, so crumbly you wondered if there was any at all. No chili oil was included in the delivery. The Coke wasn't fresh. And the pepperoni was way too salty, almost inedible. Honestly disappointing.

23/02/2026: It was pizza in name only. The crust was very average, and it was loaded with fried toppings. Quite heavy and indigestible. Either I chose the wrong one or the wrong place. In any case, it's not how I remember Domino's Pizza.

This raises serious questions about hygiene standards and food handling in the kitchen. Such a situation is serious and should never happen. We expect concrete measures to guarantee customer safety. As things stand, we strongly advise against this restaurant.

03/05/2026: A wonderful time spent with friends, with staff who took excellent care of all the customers. The warm setting, the family atmosphere, the divine food 👍😊 – in short, pure bliss. Bonus: it's right opposite the entrance to the abbey ✅ As I told them on my way out, don't change a thing 😀. So don't hesitate to come and eat there, and even ask for wine recommendations; they'll do it with pleasure and passion.

26/04/2026: 1:30 pm on a Saturday. The terrace was half empty. We wanted to have a coffee... "Not possible. At this hour, we only serve meals..." Too bad. We recommend the pastry shop/tea room across the street: they're very friendly.
