18/09/2025: Very good food, good quality. The grilled pork chop was excellent. Orders were taken and served by a smiling, patient and efficient person. Delighted with our dinner.

06/12/2025: Disappointed by the selection at this Chinese restaurant. The quality is clearly not up to par, and the portion sizes are quite disappointing, both for the hot dishes and the desserts, which are practically nonexistent. I had checked the restaurant's rating, currently at 4/5 stars, which had raised some expectations. In conclusion, I don't really recommend this restaurant, especially if you've already had the chance to try more generous and higher-quality Chinese restaurants.

01/12/2025: Nice Asian restaurant, aesthetically pleasing decor. The servers were pleasant but spoke in whispers. The food was quite good, but the hot dishes were often cold (shrimp fritters, spring rolls, fries, etc.). The prices were reasonable, but it's a shame that when it came time to pay, we felt like we were bothering the waitress. Mixed review

28/09/2025: Le Cabestan represents the knot in your stomach after eating or surviving at this "restaurant," which is far from being one. Serving spoiled seafood in one of the most renowned fishing ports in the country demonstrates a serious lack of skill on the part of the chef, if there is one. The whelks were so old they were dry. The crab was dry and pearly, therefore out of date. The only thing I ate from the platter was the oysters. All that seafood died for nothing. I brought it to the attention of the management, but they couldn't care less. Their bruscquetta is completely uninteresting. As a restaurateur myself for four generations, I find that such a lack of professionalism is a disgrace to our profession, as well as to the profession of fishermen, because their product and their work are not respected at all in this establishment. I think the (amateur) chef should be the boss, because if he isn't, I advise you to fire him immediately. We must not forget that serving sub-par seafood can endanger the health, or even the life, of the consumer. Of course, no goodwill gesture or apology has been made. Personally, I think contacting the DDPP (Directorate for the Protection of Fisheries and Aquaculture) to protect customers like us would be a civic-minded act.

28/09/2025: Restaurant management is like swimming; you learn it!!!! If my husband and I survive this kitchen, we'll be happy. I'm going to give you some advice, without aggression and with a lot of kindness: CHANGE JOBS!!!! Before coming, I wanted to look at the reviews, but in the end, I didn't. That was my mistake.

04/09/2024: A clean but unusual decor for a creperie, the cider is served in The pancakes arrived very quickly, they were obviously reheated, very thin, crispy like chips, tasteless just like the pancakes for dessert. In short, go your way

25/09/2024: Yes to pizza without hesitation. Be careful, however, with the risotto (miniature portion) and the pasta (rather strange Asian accent). Friendly staff. Remember to book, especially on Monday evening when all the other restaurants in Valognes are closed!

01/09/2024: Always great food at a very reasonable price. We visit here as a couple and with extended family every time we are in France 4/5 times a year. Menu changes frequently, we have never left disappointed. Staff are very attentive and restaurant welcoming with a lovely fire in the winter months. Would recommend a visit, you will return.

31/08/2024: My wife and I have visited L'Abbaye several times during our vacation. To say we were made welcome (despite not having made a reservation) would be an understatement. From the standard of the food and presentation to the friendly professional helpful staff, it all helped to make our stay more memorable. A little personal recommendation. I never drink Guinness outside of Ireland, especially in France. On our first visit, the owner, Peter, said he had the best Guinness in France. Always up for a challenge, I said would test his claim. So I watched him pull the pint, from the initial pour, to letting it sit before the second pour, to the creamy head, to the temperature, and above all else, the taste.
