31/01/2026: We were craving pizza and found ourselves in this friendly, family-run restaurant. A pleasant and welcoming place, with professional and friendly staff. And what can I say about the pizza except that it was excellent, with a soft crust and fresh ingredients. A real treat. I highly recommend it without hesitation.

12/12/2025: We were looking for a place to spend a lovely evening together for our wedding anniversary. We chose this gourmet restaurant in Beauvais. We weren't disappointed. "Gastronomic" is the perfect word. We opted for the €70 set menu. On the advice of the staff, we didn't choose any dishes to be surprised by what was served. For the wines, and on their recommendation, we were served a 50.50 white and a Saint-Estèphe red. The meal was a succession of courses (eight in total), each with very fragrant flavors and enhanced by herbs... Salmon to start, followed by foie gras, and we were already delighted. Then came the pike-perch, which delighted us, accompanied by a light and flavorful garnish. To accompany our red wine, we had an extremely tender beef fillet, topped with mushrooms on a rosette of mashed potatoes. Blueberry ice cream with small pieces of fruit, and to finish, the chef's delicious Paris-Brest. It was an unforgettable evening for us, a culinary delight in an elegant setting where the service was impeccable from beginning to end. We will definitely be back.

09/12/2025: Le Vertugadin has become a traditional stop for me at the start of a weekend in Normandy. Located a stone's throw from the stables of the Château de Chantilly, this French restaurant remains a sure bet. The service is dynamic, friendly, and efficient: nothing to complain about. The cuisine is excellent, with a real selection and high-quality ingredients, perfectly executed. This time, I opted for the set menu; the value for money was truly competitive for an establishment of this caliber. I had previously ordered à la carte and it was a delight, but on the other hand, the prices quickly add up: the Tournedos Rossini alone, I believe, exceeded the price of two complete set menus (starter/main course/dessert + drinks). It's a very good place. The only slight drawback: the decor. A mix of antiques, vintage finds, and more modern, sometimes surprising, elements (special mention to the men's restrooms…surprising, original, but not in the best taste), creates a somewhat cluttered impression and doesn't really tell a coherent story. It's a shame, because the quality of the food deserves a more harmonious setting. That said, the spacious dining room and the terrace in summer are a real plus. An address I still recommend for the quality of its cuisine and service.

30/11/2025: I had reserved Picardy-style crepes, the "lamb shank" menu, and a giant éclair. Everything was perfect, very good, and the portions were generous. We're not usually fans of lamb, but this...it was succulent! The whole family enjoyed it.

11/12/2025: We came as a couple on a weekend evening. The concept of table service is appealing. However, the restaurant operates on a 5-course tasting menu, served in 5 rounds (25 plates in total). The name sounds enticing, but the reality is disappointing. The plates are sparsely filled, practically empty. I ordered sashimi, and there were only 3 pieces on the plate, but I had to order 3 more to feel "satisfied." Needless to say, consuming all 5 plates per round is quickly accomplished. You also have to wait 5 minutes between each round. Overall, you wait 20 minutes to order. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. The same goes for the spring rolls/sushi/maki, with only 2 or 3 per plate. The rounds can be completed quite quickly if you're hungry. The menu also lacks variety. The desserts are very limited and offer very few choices. As for the quality, the maki arrived broken and the rice didn't stay on the plate. The soup bowls were good, but the portions were small. It's a shame to have a good concept but not know how to use and diversify it properly. What we've noticed is that the prices are high, which limits customer consumption and allows the company to maximize profits. We tried and compared La Croisière in St. Maximin. This restaurant offers a much wider variety of choices, where the buffet system allows you to eat your fill, with no limit on the number of plates you can take (whether they are full or not). There's something for everyone, and all kinds of food. This allows them to stay attuned to customer expectations. Regarding the quality of the food, the Miyako is inferior to that offered at La Croisière. It's of lower quality. We won't be returning to this restaurant. Only the service, provided by a waiter, was professional. We only appreciated that.

28/12/2025: An exceptional experience. The staff is pleasant, smiling, very welcoming, and attentive. On the culinary front, wonderful discoveries, beautiful flavors, and finesse. The setting is intimate, cozy, and truly delightful. We wholeheartedly recommend L'Orée du Bois.

What a joy to savor seasonal vegetables, especially those from the garden! The seasonings were delicate and unexpected. The staff were charming, attentive, and always smiling. We felt completely at ease. The setting is lovely, and we truly savored the moment. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture on our son's birthday. The service is impeccable; Karima and Yoan are smiling, attentive, and very professional (thank you again for your thoughtful touches for my birthday). And the food… pure bliss, a true symphony of flavors! The chef recommended the sole meunière, and my taste buds will remember it for a long time. A huge congratulations to the entire team, both in the dining room and in the kitchen. If you're still hesitating, stop everything and go for it—your stomach will thank you. See you soon :)
