Les meilleurs restaurants en Pyrenees-Orientales

23/12/2025: Authentic and very good cuisine. The presentation could be better, as could the portion sizes (no sauces offered), but be aware of the drink prices. It's a kind of authentic couscous, 'just like homemade'. The owner is very welcoming, and you can feel his passion for the ingredients. The only drawback preventing us from giving it 5 stars is the price of the drinks. €9 for a glass of local wine and €8 for mineral water is excessive and detracts from the otherwise excellent value for money of the dish. We will gladly return if the drinks menu becomes more reasonable or if it includes some extra touches (salads, complimentary sauces).

21/12/2025: Okay, but could be better. There were no menus, nor harissa sauce, which is normally served with couscous. The tables are too close together, which detracts from the privacy.

10/04/2026: A really nice bar in a cute little alley, great for stopping for a drink. That said, my cocktail (which was absolutely delicious, credit where credit is due) could have been even smaller, perhaps served in a shot glass or even a sewing machine, because for 13 euros, the pleasure shouldn't last too long… Anyway, go for the pints!

20/08/2026: Absolutely excellent, the service is impeccable, the two waitresses are very friendly, and the food is perfect and plentiful. I highly recommend it.

19/08/2026: We wanted to go into the bar because of the good music and atmosphere inside, but right in front of us, the bouncer held a man to the ground and hit him. When we intervened, the bouncer said, and I quote: "Don't get involved or I'll hit you too." The waitress didn't seem particularly shocked and didn't appear to want to intervene either. All this under the pretext that the man was disrespectful. A bouncer's job is to escort people out in these situations, not to hit them on the ground. This quickly discouraged us from going in. So, if you don't want to be thrown out and hit for whatever reason, just stay away.

09/07/2026: The waiter was unpleasant and nonchalant. It's a shame they don't display the prices and leave it as a surprise at the till, but I think it's deliberate given the price of the shisha… €30 without a drink is a bit excessive. If it were really good with service to match, then maybe, but there's neither of those things.

24/06/2026: I was very disappointed with this restaurant. It was extremely hot inside because there was no air conditioning. What's more, when I arrived, they were out of bread, which is quite unbelievable for a restaurant. The staff were unfriendly and the overall atmosphere was unpleasant. I do not recommend this establishment!

27/07/2026: It must never reopen for the good of the village.

07/02/2026: This pizzeria is best avoided, if you can even call it that. The owner is unpleasant; he barely even says hello. There's a real pizzeria in the village center, La Picollina, with very friendly staff! And authentic pizzas, made with fresh ingredients, wood-fired, a real treat! Nothing like the budget-priced stuff at La Sicilienne. Oh, and a dog and cat roaming around the kitchen. Enjoy your meal!

27/09/2026: They denied giving us tap water because they said they weren't allowed to. It is a legal obligation to provide free tap water if asked for. This is unacceptable.

02/09/2026: I visited this cafe at the train station a few times. The staff were always helpful. The cafe au last is very good and pistachio cake delicious.

03/10/2026: We did eat well, but the service really ruined the experience. Only one person seemed to be handling the service, while two other employees were present, without us really understanding what they were doing. As a result, we waited an hour and a half for a simple set menu of starter, main course, and dessert… with two children, that's a very long time. And to top it all off, we couldn't even have dessert: a man at the next table felt entitled to complain because our children were playing, even though they weren't doing anything excessive. It's a shame, because the food was good, but between the wait and the atmosphere, we left very disappointed.

01/10/2026: This is our second visit to this restaurant. We hadn't made a reservation and were very warmly welcomed. The food is good, and the service is excellent. Simple and efficient. And the prices are very reasonable (21 euros for the delicious roasted Camembert!). It's a bit chilly, so bring a sweater just in case.

12/09/2026: Old, sad cafe, sad, unmotivated staff.

10/09/2026: Appalling service. We had to ask four times for a glass of water to go with a truly mediocre coffee. The waitress retorted that some establishments charge 20 cents for a glass of water, which is absolutely untrue in Perpignan. The tables aren't cleaned between customers… This establishment is taking advantage of its location at the foot of the Castillet; we won't be returning!

10/09/2026: I asked for half a baguette, she offered me a traditional loaf, I asked for a chocolate almond croissant, and she charged me for half a baguette and two chocolate almond croissants... Strange behavior, she did the same thing to me a month ago... Maybe there are people who accept it Or who don't check... 🤔

03/10/2025: The person working there was pleasant, which is appreciated. However the place is very shabby, with broken benches, uncomfortable chairs. The pizza was very mediocre.
