07/12/2024: We were lucky enough to have lunch here yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous setting with very good service. The seafood dish was delicious. The snails were just OK. The portion sizes were generous. When you go, I advise you to skip the snails and stick with the seafood.

27/01/2025: I spent the worst 50 minutes of my life, culinary atrocious, the service disastrous, let's not even talk about the attitude of the waiters, I found pubic hair in my drink, I had a carrot juice on I brought back a juice with pieces of kiwi in it, I also ordered a steak with cooking points, they brought me back the pink steak, and then when I alerted the staff they asked me for my "body count" frankly I strongly advise against it. The waiter threatened me by telling me word for word I quote "get out, before I spit on you" I'll leave you with this wonderful ending Sincerely

30/11/2024: We came here for dinner the evening after returning from vacation in Spain. Good welcome Good meal and pleasant staff Only problem error on the addition 2 floating islands billed instead of one. Having already returned to my hotel, I nevertheless informed the restaurant. They kindly offered me to come back the same evening or the next morning... on a Sunday... to repair the error but it was not possible for me. Frédéric the manager asked me to keep the bill and come back the next time I visit. Very professional this Mr. In any case, it’s certain that I would come back, especially to have a good meal again 😉

07/12/2024: Long service, but long.... But long... Too bad because it’s a good discovery in terms of taste buds! Mika is a very pleasant and smiling waiter, he explained all the dishes to us with kindness and professionalism. He knows his menu and all the products he offers very well.

10/05/2025: A welcome with a smile, the pizza dough is simply excellent and the toppings match the quality of the dough. We recommend this establishment and during our next visit to Prades we will open the door of this establishment again with great pleasure.

28/01/2025: The best burgers you can imagine. Whenever I come to Fontromeu I can't miss visiting it. They are all delicious and well stuffed! They are huge!!! Accompanied by fries. They are for takeaway.

09/12/2025: The room was as expected, but it's true that the bathroom was dirty with stagnant water, and flushing it was awful. Lunch was nothing special, and many people were complaining about where it was served. Besides, you had to cut your own bread, meaning everyone was touching it. The plates and cups were dirty too. I don't want to give it a bad rating because of the price; the room looked fine in the photos, but the rest wasn't. The service was good, though, which is excellent.

25/11/2025: The bedding needs improvement. The bedding kit includes two sheets and two towels for €8, but when you come as a couple, you pay for the kit twice! Furthermore, sleeping in a bed where the bottom sheet is full of wrinkles because it's not fitted... not ideal. We didn't sleep well at all!

06/09/2024: A real favorite for this ice cream parlour! We notably tasted the apricot, cactus and blackcurrant sorbets, and everything was a pure delight: not too sweet, but full of flavor. The ice creams and sorbets are of high quality, with flavors that often vary. The man who runs the shop is very kind and always smiling. If you are passing through, don't miss this address for a little gourmet break!

23/06/2025: We enjoyed a delicious pizza, served by an exceptionally friendly hostess. Without us even asking, our dog was given a fresh bowl of water. 02/09/2024: A most frosty welcome from the manager, annoyed and disdainful from the doorstep. I strongly advise you to go your way if you want to have a pleasant time. (According to the answer below it is not the manager... so I confirm that it is indeed this restaurant and the person I am talking about provided telephone and physical reception last Saturday. She is a blonde woman in her sixties.) I am responding to your message again. 1) we have made several prestigious tables with smart box, there is always a suitable menu which is even visible on the smart box site, you are the first restaurant which does not wish to communicate the menu neither via the smart box site, nor during from the reservation to the telephone. What is the goal? We actually had food intolerances we needed to know the menu when booking by phone, but you replied that the chef will accommodate in all cases. We insisted by telling you that even if the chef offered us something that suited our intolerances it might not suit our tastes, and that we needed to know so as not to find ourselves ordering something by default. . The chef's proposals can't be unlimited anyway? Even though you have no idea what foods we like or don't like, you replied annoyed that he will adapt anyway. We were very surprised but we still made the trip out of curiosity. 2) Arriving in front of the restaurant, it was actually not yet 7 p.m. we only wanted to locate it and take a look around the village but you invited us to go inside. 3) once in the restaurant we thought you could FINALLY have access to the menu!! But still not 🤣 you huffed and indicated that you still hadn't had lunch. What class. Once you had quietly finished your lunch you came straight to us to ask for the smart boxes, that borders on rudeness. The customer asks you for the menu, and you ask for payment. It’s appalling. 4) during our telephone conversation you were so insistent on not giving us the menu that you forgot to tell us to print the smart box. And we wouldn't have made the trip if that were the case. Indeed you didn't know it but we had no way of printing, we were on a weekend in the region. So if you had told us as you claimed we would have gone to another restaurant, which is what we ultimately did. And for the final restaurant reservation, we took the initiative to ask if it was necessary to have the printed voucher. The restaurant told us that it was indeed better to have it printed but if that was not the case they would take care of it. We asked if we could be denied access, to which they replied “certainly not”. Surely you lack professionalism. In any case you have to accept that your way of doing things is quite confusing, a customer is charmed by a menu, by the welcome and by the service of a restaurant. To conclude, I simply do not recommend smart box experiences in your establishment.

05/01/2025: Positive points: free and easy parking. Clean and well decorated restaurant. Very good home cooking and good wines. Menu with sufficient choice. Pleasant boss and chef who comes to see his customers. Smiling waitress. The sangria is good and very generous. Negative points: you are insistently pushed to consume aperitifs, wine and coffee which is really unpleasant. The starters are brought just 5 minutes after the aperitif (horrible having to drink sangria with the hot starters). The portions are really very small (big appetites will be disappointed). ⚠️Please note, the photos are taken in close-up. The accompaniment for fish is almost non-existent (1 small spoon of puree and a broccoli flower). The bread is dry and tasteless. Liège coffees are made with espresso so all the ice is melted almost instantly (so it's more of a soup) and there are plenty of gel crystals in the coffee ice cream. No small commercial gesture although reported. The white lady is very small for 8€50. In summary, the food is good for sure but the too many negative points now encourage us to go elsewhere. Good luck all the same.

02/01/2025: Very pleasant restaurant, clear menu without frills. Excellent cuisine, very tasty. Pleasant service. Very good prestige menu at €27 (starter, main course, dessert). Perfect evening on a Thursday evening when many restaurants are closed. I recommend this restaurant and I will return with pleasure.
