08/03/2026: Very tasty and nice! We ate the restaurant's specialty, frog legs! Just enough to share a portion between two and combine with something else.

20/02/2026: Baba's frogs were delicious! The price was reasonable considering the quantity and quality. The welcome and service were provided by a very kind and professional blonde lady (I forgot to get her name).

02/07/2026: We went without a reservation and was seated relatively quickly. The food was portioned very well, steak was cooked very nicely. Despite language barriers, our waitress Louna was very helpful, polite and friendly! Would recommend going!

31/05/2026: From Oven to Street. At Les Artistes on Rue du Mail, the baker lifts a run of baguettes from the oven with a long-handled peel, turns towards the window, and tips them neatly end-on into the yellow basket below. The action is fast and exact, but the room gives it weight: stacked crates, metal shelving, ducting and the old brick arch hold the bakery in plain, hard use. From the pavement, you are close enough to catch the hand-off from oven to basket, with the glass turning that last hot transfer into part of the street scene. In Croix-Rousse, that closeness fits the quarter. Craft and commerce still sit near the pavement here, so the photo catches bread at the point it leaves the oven and enters the morning outside.

23/05/2026: Fantastic experience, from the welcome to the selection of products! I've been a regular for many years and I never get tired of it. I highly recommend this place :) Special mention for the traditional seeded bread, the cheese bread, the flan, and the filled choux pastries.

28/05/2026: A little disappointed, as the drinks and tapas we wanted were no longer available. We therefore had to order other things. The food was good, even though it was served well before the drinks. It's a shame because the setting and the servers were pleasant.

26/05/2026: The Chimichuri tartare was excellent (high-quality meat, hand-cut, served at the perfect temperature, and well-seasoned). The service was friendly, quick, and efficient—professionals with a keen eye. Thank you.

04/06/2026: This is what matcha looks like according to this café. A large glass of milk with vanilla syrup and maybe 1 gram of pastry-grade matcha, all sold for €7 under the name "vanilla cloud matcha." I can't comment on the other drinks and pastries, but it's a disgrace in 2026 to sell this as matcha, especially at a price higher than what you'd pay at a café specializing in quality Japanese matcha. They might as well not offer matcha at all if it's going to be of such terrible quality.

26/05/2026: We discovered this place thanks to The Fork, and we weren't disappointed at all! The meal was delicious, we really loved it! Finally, maki and sushi with rice that wasn't dry and wasn't oversized compared to the amount of fish. Everything was just right for us ✨️ The waitresses were friendly and the atmosphere was calm enough to feel comfortable. We'll definitely be back :)

12/05/2026: After several visits to Yoki, I'm never disappointed. I haven't tried the entire menu yet (it would take a lifetime!), but from what little I've tasted, everything has been delicious, well-seasoned, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The selection is varied, there's something for everyone, and the staff is incredibly friendly with very fast service. The restaurant itself is very elegant and clean. My favorite set menus? The M11 and the C7, with the coconut pearls for dessert!

09/06/2026: Great concept, very friendly staff. The food is good, especially the meat dishes. One small point for improvement in my opinion: the side dishes and adding one or two desserts to the set menu, as they are currently optional.

28/02/2026: I was supposed to be celebrating something that day. I went there with my friend at noon. The staff didn't speak a word of French... None of what we wanted was on the menu. No salmon, no langoustines, no fish at all. Beforehand, I had checked my own menu: the prices didn't match what was displayed in the restaurant. For example, they ordered four gratinated oysters, but there they only served three. We had to ask for one more. The mussels were frozen and barely edible. They were also so small we wondered where we'd get them. Again, the waiter lied, saying before we ordered that they would be enormous! My friend ordered a scallop carpaccio. There was one scallop, so small I thought it was just a garnish. To make up for it, they offered me a glass of wine (but not my friend). However, the bill was ENORMOUS. Over €165... And to think I'd been before and the first visit was great.

06/04/2026: Meh. Mixed feelings. I ordered a Mafé, and they served me a Yassa (I didn't say anything). The Yassa wasn't bad in itself, but it didn't taste like a Yassa. The starter (acradles) and dessert (coconut cake) were good, but nothing special. The decor was dated, and the tableware was a bit cheap; I can hardly recommend it. I find it rather sad in general that so many African restaurants are still somewhat amateurish, as is the case here; it's a cuisine that deserves better than that.

22/03/2026: As a group of several, we were forced to order the tasting menu, for which the portions were ridiculously small. There was enough food for a maximum of four people, and there were seven of us. One and a half samosas each, one accra each, two spoonfuls of rice each, and not enough cake for everyone. Half a meal in a nearly empty restaurant. The only positive point was that the owner was friendly. Avoid at all costs.

27/05/2026: “A very disappointing experience. I felt disrespected and unfairly treated while waiting for my bus and simply wanting a cold drink. I'm from Amsterdam and I didn't feel welcome at all.” The worst waiter I've ever seen.

31/03/2026: The staff is very friendly! It's a good pizzeria in the Vaise district. It's ideal for a lunch break. The pizza itself is good, but the price is a bit high for the size.
