28/04/2026: A place I frequent for lunch: Le Lafayette, often with my family, and it's always a pleasure to return. The restaurant is quite small, so I recommend making a reservation. It has a very convivial atmosphere, somewhat reminiscent of a traditional Lyonnais bistro. The service is relaxed, sometimes a little informal, but always warm—you really feel at home. And when the owner is in the mood, he even sings along to French classics, which adds to the charm of the place 🎶 As for the food, it's difficult for me to judge the entire menu… because I always order the same thing 😄: the rare flank steak with shallot sauce, served on a large board with fries and salad. And it's incredible. The cooking is perfectly executed, the meat is tender, the sauce delicious… a real treat every time. It's generous, flavorful, and very well prepared. For meat lovers, it's definitely a place to know. My companions tried other dishes and were always very satisfied as well: you can taste the homemade quality, the fresh ingredients, and the food prepared to order. In short, an authentic, friendly, and generous place that I recommend without hesitation—and where I will continue to return with pleasure. ✨

20/07/2026: Wow, what beautiful gluten-free creations. We had a delicious meal, and our daughter with celiac disease was amazed and could taste everything without a care.

18/07/2026: While in Lyon, we had a wonderful discovery with a little girl who was so happy to finally be able to eat delicious chocolate croissants, cream puffs, cookies, brownies, etc... all gluten-free. She had been dreaming of it for so long! And such a warm welcome 😊 Thank you so much ❤️

23/06/2026: A great place to eat delicious sushi at a very reasonable price. The service is quick, and you can order the lunch specials in the evening for an additional €2. You can also order by phone and pick up your order in person, usually within 20 to 30 minutes.

18/01/2026: The evening went extremely well. This is the third time we've booked a table at this bar on Thursdays before going to student nights, and whether there are 5 or 20 of us, we're always very well received. The waiter is friendly and patient, and the prices are the most affordable we've found in Lyon. The music selection is very tasteful, but not too loud, so we can still hear each other. We recommend it 100%, and plan to return as soon as possible.

19/08/2026: On a weekend outing with friends, we were strolling around Lyon looking for a drink. €22 for 3 Cokes, 1 Red Bull, and a small bottle of water... No prices were displayed, so there was no way to check. Maybe they just pick and choose. No menu, no service; we had to go looking for drinks ourselves. The restrooms were in a deplorable state. I suspect the waiter wasn't very sober.

16/07/2026: Very disappointed with the service. I sat for over eight minutes waiting for a server to take my order, without anyone coming over or even acknowledging me. Several employees walked right past me without any reaction. I understand that it's busy, but completely ignoring a customer is unacceptable. A little attention and consideration would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because it gives a very bad first impression.

01/04/2026: I went there while the hotel was being renovated, and honestly, it would be a real shame to miss out if you're in the area. I had the set menu (main course, dessert, coffee), less than 20 euros for a generous portion served without rice or pasta. I eat at many hotel restaurants like this one, and I found it to be a cut above the rest, much better quality. The dessert was fresh and also very generous (pineapple carpaccio). The atmosphere was a bit cold in a sparsely decorated dining room, but the hotel is undergoing renovations, so please bear with me. The service was excellent, friendly, and efficient. The menu is very short, as the restaurant focuses on daily specials. I can only hope it's just as good every time. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot.

31/01/2026: A restaurant we love to visit for lunch, not only for a break from work but especially for the warm welcome, the relaxing atmosphere, their daily specials—always delicious, (very) generous portions, made with seasonal, market-fresh ingredients—all at an excellent price (daily special, dessert, and coffee for €15.90). Located within the hotel, the restaurant is lovely, bathed in natural light from the veranda. A special mention goes to the team: Manon (with her smile and sense of humor), Anaïs (friendly and discreet), and the Head Chef, whose mastery of cooking both meat and fish we serve deserves a special mention, as does the generous portion size. This place has become our go-to spot, and we're not exactly picky eaters (Manon can attest to that) ;))

30/04/2026: Unacceptable experience. Cold and disrespectful welcome, but above all, alarming hygiene conditions. I saw an employee scratching his hair, handling money, and then touching food without any care. This is unacceptable in an establishment that serves food. I left immediately. Avoid this place until basic hygiene rules are respected.

20/07/2026: By family tradition, I used to stop by Rue des Archers in Lyon to buy quenelles and a Rosette sausage. Two weeks ago, I bought a Rosette, but I was very disappointed. I don't know if it's just a temporary issue, but the shop is well-refrigerated, or if there's been a change in quality. I won't be stopping there again because the saying about Reynon being good was wrong, but not this time... The fat and the Rosette had a rancid taste... and there was too much fat. The pepper must be too expensive now.

24/06/2026: Still as professional and tasteful as ever, despite the years! A benchmark in the Lyon peninsula! A special mention for the mimosa logs 💗💗, the Belle Aurore Pillow and the foie gras and port tarts....

05/08/2026: Fantastic find! The staff were so friendly and welcoming; we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The rib steaks were excellent, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. A truly great place; we'll definitely be back!

23/07/2026: We were on holiday in Lyon and were in the mood for a good piece of meat; we definitely came to the right place! Deliciously tender meat, excellent service, good value for money, highly recommended!

02/08/2026: I bought a pan bagnat for a hike…not good at all. Two slices of tomato, half an egg, and barely 50g of flaked, completely unseasoned tuna. The bread was stale because it was either improperly frozen or refrozen. Horrible.

26/07/2026: We were very disappointed with our visit to Paul. The cakes were served piled on top of each other in a box, which completely crushed and damaged them before we could even eat them. It's a real shame...
