21/09/2025: Spending a week in Saint Paulien, we visited this bakery several times. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, and above all, they offered excellent products, whether it was the bread, the pastries, the generous sandwiches at €3.70 🤩, the pizzas, the quiches, the puff pastries, the delicious Ruessien, and the formidable autumn tart. A highly recommended establishment.

28/11/2025: The white toque, or rather I should say the black toque, the pizzas ordered were… I think the cook confused brioche dough with pizza dough. It's a real shame…

16/11/2025: We are very disappointed. We wanted to try Uber Eats. We ordered at 8 pm and at 8:40 pm we were told that the order had just been cancelled by the restaurant… Great… after waiting 40 minutes!!!!

01/12/2025: Five of us, we ordered the most expensive menu, 40 euros. Having extra charges for the frogs' legs is already outrageous, okay, fine, we were expecting something amazing. What a disappointment! The frogs' legs were covered in parsley, the butter was burnt, and many were missing legs? Apparently, it was the same at the table behind us, but they didn't dare say anything. The frogs' legs in cream sauce had a strange taste. In short, three plates were impossible to eat. On the other hand, the chicken in cream sauce with morels, which was an extra charge, was excellent. Just an off day? Or not? The three frogs' legs were indeed removed from the bill, but the rest were charged à la carte. So, the bill still came to 197 euros. I'm not one to post fake reviews, sorry.

14/11/2025: Lunch with colleagues. For €15 for a starter, main course, and dessert, it was excellent. And at that price, there's no competition in Tournus. Well done.

13/11/2025: The owner is incredibly unpleasant and unhelpful – avoid her at all costs! It's appalling to be so bitter when you run a bar; she should change jobs.

05/01/2026: We went there three times. The first time was perfect, but the second time, we were forgotten, and after waiting over an hour between the appetizer and the main course, we left. The owner didn't even apologize and left everything to his very nice waiter (who no longer works there). Not wanting to end on a bad note, we went back on Saturday. There were three waiters for a small dining room, so that was fine. After taking our order, they brought me our appetizer before our drinks! Then they said, "Sorry, I'll bring you the drinks. Let me know when I'm reheating your appetizer so I can bring it back." Seriously? What kind of place is this? The rest of the meal was okay, but perhaps they need to find proper waiters and improve communication between the front of house and the kitchen. The food is good, though; it's a shame. This will be our last time, and I don't recommend this restaurant due to its lack of professionalism and attention to detail.

07/12/2025: While the exterior and location are beautiful and charming, the interior is a different story. Room (No. 1) was dreary and very sparsely furnished… a strong smell of insecticide hits you in the throat, and despite this, I caught no fewer than 12 bedbugs that I had to throw out the window… the room must have been in a very, very long state of repair. Breakfast… charged at €9… was the most pathetic I have ever seen. Reheated and stale bread, milk cartons placed directly on the “buffet,” industrial jams and other products, and bad-tasting coffee. The restaurant was slightly better… let’s say passable. I do not recommend this establishment.

20/11/2025: A true gem! We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel-restaurant, beautifully housed in a former mill. The setting is simply idyllic and romantic: the soothing sound of the water, the surrounding greenery, and the warm atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The restaurant's cuisine is a real treasure. Local produce is showcased with remarkable skill. Special mention goes to the Bresse chicken, absolutely divine, and the touches of Italian cuisine that add a lovely originality to the menu. Every dish was a delight, as beautiful as it was delicious. The service is attentive, and all the staff are incredibly kind. A place that combines charm, authenticity, and gastronomy: I highly recommend it!

23/11/2024: La locanda is a very small restaurant but a very large kitchen. We came to eat on November 23, 2024 and everything was perfect, from the starter to the dessert and the main course. With each bite we close our eyes and travel to Italy. Best of all, my partner even had a special dessert just for him for his birthday. A much appreciated attention. Thanks for everything!
