Cadre sympa (style "bistro chic" et "vintage") Cuisine excellente, c'est beau et c'est bon, on sent qu'il y a une recherche et des efforts du chef cuisinier pour l'esthétique de l'assiette et le mariage des saveurs, un plaisir pour les yeux et pour les papilles. Service rapide et très efficace. Bref, à recommander !

01/09/2024: Nous avions réservé pour le 1 septembre. Nous devions manger une entrée, une tête de veau et un dessert . Entrée et dessert excellents . La tête de veau , pas chaude , elle nageait dans son bouillon , pas de goût . Je ne vous conseille pas ce restaurant, un jour de foire .

08/07/2024: Un vrai désastre ! Le buffet vide en début de service et non renouvelé, des frites carbonisées. "C'est le jeu du buffet" nous a répondu Grégoire. Les commentaires pourtant élogieux nous avaient donné envie. Vraiment, à croire que nous n'avons pas mangé dans le même restaurant.

01/12/2024: We returned there this Sunday, December 1st, as a family, and I can only express satisfaction and admiration! Satisfaction, because the dishes chosen are copious, and extremely good, tasty, admiration at the work force and the sympathy of the owner who works alone, with admirable efficiency, and always with a smile, a good word! If people dare to criticize, they can only be idle and incapable people accustomed to profiting from the work of others without doing anything... Old-fashioned restaurant, you could believe yourself in a real Lyonnais cork, ideal for people who take the time to live, and have their feet on the ground, respect the work of others, of those who work a lot, as it is the case here. If you are matuvus who are as boastful as they are stupid and ignorant, don't go there, stay at home..., and fry yourself an egg if you are able! There is no point in giving dismal reviews to quality restaurants that do their utmost to satisfy customers, it's as small as their authors. Here, the owner is really competent and efficient, the food is very good, the prices very reasonable. Very good, we will go back.

24/11/2024: Aucune fausse note pour notre dîner. Un accueil très chaleureux, une salle de restaurant intimiste à l'ambiance feutrée, un maître d'hôtel très professionnel à l'écoute des clients, des plats exceptionnels cuisinés avec des produits haut de gamme, d'excellents vins et champagne. Le chef mérite vraiment la meilleure note.

27/10/2024: Brasserie parfaite avant la visite de l'abbaye. Le service est rapide. Les lasagnes végétariennes sont très bonnes. Le café gourmand est bien gourmand. Un sans faute !

13/10/2024: Venus 3 fois dans le week-end, 2 pour boire un verre et une fois pour dîner. Très bien situé car devant l'entrée de l'abbaye. L'accueil fut à chaque fois très cordial et souriant. Le service très correct et assez rapide. Une carte pour dîner suffisante. Nous y avons bien mangé, au bon rapport qualité / prix. Nous revendons avec grand plaisir.

20/08/2024: I warmly recommended this restaurant to my contacts, but it is clear that the quality of the dishes has deteriorated significantly for some time and the price is too high for this quality. Lately mussels...served with a vegetable planter. Needless to say, the dish was quite bland. The same goes for certain overcooked dishes. This is becoming a recurring problem unfortunately. For the price we would be able to expect better. In short, I no longer recommend this address. Damage !

19/12/2024: Small family hotel, managed by very pleasant people. The hotel is cute, well-kept and clean. The meals are homemade and of good quality. The rooms are large, cute and very clean.

03/09/2024: If you are looking for a wedding location that will make you feel like you live in your favorite romance novel: you found it. ♥️ Rénche & Geert made sure to help us as much as they could with the planning of our wedding weekend. A BBQ on the arrival day, a pizza party, the wedding day & a Farewell Brunch? No problem! You have so many different options and locations to choose from, I think you could fill a week full of events and could still find a new area on the stunning grounds of this chateau. ☀️ All of the providers we worked with were really, really professional and the food was delicious every single day. Rénche also offers to help with the wedding design & planning for a very fair fee & I would highly recommend to book this service to any couple. She knows this castle by heart and has a lot of experience with the providers so she can solve a lot of problems before they even occur. 🍀 We planned our wedding with around 80 people. If you choose a bigger group just be aware that you will need a small tent to add to the dining area so everyone can fit or you can just eat outside in front of the castle if the weather allows it (but don’t forget that this region is known for it’s weather changes so I would also recommend to always plan with a tent - worst case you can use it for some extra shade ☺️☝🏼). The rooms in the castle are well looked after and Rénche & Geert work very hard on renovating the castle more & more each year which is an impressive amount of work. The bathrooms are not in the rooms but they are super nicely organized so everyone can still have their privacy when taking a shower (but you might recommend your guests to bring a pyjama or a bathrobe 😂☝🏼). Anyways, long story short: we loved our wedding so, so much & we wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate it anywhere else. ♥️
