01/08/2024: Restaurant open only at lunchtime. The boss is a cook and welcomes you with his very friendly waitress. It is advisable to reserve lunchtimes. The dishes are very good. The vegetables are local products purchased in the morning, the fries are homemade. The terrace is not very big but ideal except when it is too hot. The desserts are surprising.

15/09/2024: A very nice discovery! During a stay in Burgundy we had dinner in this restaurant. The welcome is friendly, the setting warm and the service impeccable. We chose the “la peach” menu: the dishes are original and high quality, the cuisine is excellent. After this beautiful evening we will not fail to return there during our next stay.

10/09/2024: 3 visits, the first 2 were very pleasant with quality service and prices to match. Unfortunately the last one was rather disappointing. Lots of waiting for dishes which were a little disappointing this time, and rising prices. We didn't have a good time, more than 3 hours at the table for cocktail / main course / dessert, I left tired.

16/09/2024: Nous sommes allés dans cet établissement le 7 mai 2024 au soir, pour l'anniversaire de mon épouse. Lieu très agréable, comme l'est tout autant le fait de manger sur l'eau. Nous avons pris les menus les plus chers à 34 euros, ce qui reste un tarif plus que raisonnable pour un restaurant. Le prix des apéritifs est, lui aussi, très raisonnable (4,50 en moyenne suivant ce que l'on prend). En ce qui me concerne, j'avais choisi en entrée la salade lyonnaise, plat qui reste simple mais que l'on peut apprécié différemment selon la qualité des produits et là, absolument rien à redire. Salade verte très fraiche et tendre, croutons, lardon, œuf poché. Ce que j'ai trouvé appréciable est le fait, contrairement à de nombreux restaurants, qu'il y ait suffisamment de sauce de salade car parfois, on peut se demander chez certains si l'huile et le vinaigre n'est pas devenu un produit de luxe. Ensuite, en plat principal, le Duo, composé de grenouilles désossées et d'escargots, le tout disposé dans une sauce abondante de persillade et de crème, avec, pour accompagnement, des frites. J'ai bien apprécié ce plat qui était une découverte pour moi, servi copieusement. Quant aux frites, d'habitude je n'en mange jamais car je n'aime pas la texture, là, elles étaient excellentes pour le peu que j'en ai goûté. On pouvait aisément constater qu'elles étaient faites "maison", cuites parfaitement sans cet aspect trop croquant ou trop sec que je n'apprécie pas. Quant au dessert, je me suis laissé tenter par une crème brulée, car vu la triste météo, ça ne donnait vraiment pas envie de manger une glace. Quant aux choix de mon épouse, salade lyonnaise également puis grenouilles persillées accompagnées de frites. Elle a trouvé les grenouilles très bonnes, cuites à point, absolument pas sèches et bien charnues, des grenouilles sauvages où l'on voit aisément la différence avec celles achetées surgelées. Quant à la quantité, très bien, elle a même eu du mal à finir son plat mais lorsque c'est bon, on se force ...En dessert, un Tiramisu, très bon lui aussi. Concernant l'accueil et le service, rien à redire, toutes les personnes étaient serviables, professionnelles et conviviales. Encore merci pour la petite attention à l'égard de mon épouse de servir son dessert avec une petite bougie dessus pour son anniversaire. Pour conclure, je ne peux que recommander fortement cet établissement. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

29/08/2024: Chosen frog formula with parsley, excellent golden and soft flesh, impeccable cooking. Taken for dessert the chocolate cake (semi-cooked I would have rather written on the menu) with custard and whipped cream, all homemade, exquisite, I would have had more lol, and the dose of sugar well controlled. Plus eating while having seen the Seille was great. Then a short stroll of one and a half hours on the Seille with passage through the lock to go to the Saône. The small downside is the weather, it was a little chilly for this Sunday in August

14/09/2024: Forced to leave a review after hearing the story from my brother and my mother, because I am beyond shocked and saddened that there is a difference in treatment between customers. We are passing through the city. It does say "Reservations required" on Google, but since we just arrived, they didn't have reservations. I'm sure this happens often... Proof of this is that they weren't the only ones without reservations that evening. With this beautiful weather, they wanted to sit on the terrace, but they made them understand that they were full, and that there was only one small table left at the entrance (where it was very, very hot). Two customers arrive, and they are installed in the air-conditioned room. They certainly didn't have a reservation because they were given the choice of whether the room had air conditioning or not - if they had booked, the table would already be ready. My mother complains about the heat, because as she gets older, she finds it very difficult to tolerate it. But unfortunately they can't do anything. Then, three customers arrive WITHOUT RESERVATION: they ask to be seated on the terrace, they are told that it is full, but they are IMMEDIATELY OFFERED to go to the air-conditioned room!!! What are your criteria for being installed in the air-conditioned room? We are French, of Asian origin. But even if we had been tourists from abroad, that is no way to welcome people. I looked but I don't see any other explanation: if you had room for three in the air-conditioned room, you had room for two. But, unlike the customers who arrived afterwards, we are not Caucasian. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. ** ANSWER AND CLARIFICATIONS ** Madam, You pretended to be full in the air-conditioned room when you had 3 tables of 4 left! I have often seen restaurateurs separate tables of 4 to make 2 tables of 2. Yes Madam, 2 + 2 = 4. Or even seat two customers at a table of 4. So, even if it was not It's not possible to separate the tables, you had room in this air-conditioned room! There were not 1 but 3 tables left! Customers arrive AFTER WITHOUT RESERVATION and you OFFER them THE CHOICE of the room... A privilege that my brother and my mother did not have since you imposed on them the so-called "last table" that you had left. You are full but then you welcome 5 people (a couple and a trio) without reservation in the air-conditioned room. Why this difference in treatment? Know that they decided to leave after witnessing all of this. Faced with your lack of consideration, it ruined their appetite and they preferred not to spend their money in your canteen. My comment will be helpful to anyone who wants to be treated with dignity. I am sure that other establishments will be able to offer a better welcome and service. I will stop here, because there is no point in talking with a person who has no arguments and who is in bad faith. As Brassens would say: “Time matters nothing. When you are…” ✌️

18/08/2024: Friendly, clean, quiet place. The frogs are succulent and not bathed in fat, attentive waiter. Don't hesitate if you are in the area.

01/09/2024: The food was atrocious, brown old lettuce was a major feature of the Caesar salad. The chicken was barely cooked, although not pink. The fish and chips, the fish was a frozen battered tasteless white fish although cooked ok. The chips were soggy and over cooked and tasted like the oil was old and burnt. On a positive note the waiter was good, although we didn't get any complementary bread with the meal which seems to be the norm? I hope they improve as the location was great and convenient.
