02/10/2025: We'd like to share our opinion, but it's impossible to reach them by phone. Their website says they're open! It's frankly unacceptable to treat customers this way. Absolutely not. There are automated messages that tell us how to make a reservation or update the website. Thank you.
18/09/2025: For me, the best frogs in La Truchère, meaty and well-cooked, not dry at all. The cuisine is simple but of high quality and the welcome is friendly.

06/12/2025: An absolutely charming and very cozy place, you feel right at home, especially with the fireplace and the big armchairs to curl up in so comfortably… I loved the experience!
Unfortunately, I wasn't as keen on the hot chocolate, which frankly lacked flavor and depth, creaminess… and also some accompaniments. Why not offer some lovely homemade whipped cream, and little cakes, cookies, or shortbread? Especially during the cold end-of-year period, it would be so comforting…

29/03/2026: Everything was actually great at this restaurant, except the portions were far too small. I wasn't full after a three-course meal for €25. Perhaps if they had served butter with the baguette, of which there was plenty, it would have been better. But to stress about a baguette for €15?
That's a real shame...
17/03/2026: The team gave us a very warm welcome. The waitress was very helpful and gave us great advice. The steak tartare is excellent; you can go there without hesitation, it's fantastic value for money.

The takeaway prices are really competitive.
I've eaten there many times since I was a child.
It's often busy.
05/03/2026: My favorite spot in Chalon as a vegetarian. Everything is delicious. You get a great meal and you feel like you've eaten something healthy. Always a warm atmosphere, a truly wonderful experience.

12/12/2025: Honestly, this is the second time I've bought chocolate croissants in bulk there, but avoid it at all costs!!! They're completely flat and nothing like the ones displayed in the window. I don't recommend it at all, and what's more, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired; it's quite disgusting for a bakery…

26/10/2025: I highly recommend this waterfront establishment. The change of ownership in early 2024 has not affected the spirit of the place.
19/10/2025: A place that doesn't look like much. A very good experience. The welcome, the service, the meal, the meeting with the chef, everything was perfect. The meal was very good and plentiful (frogs, pikeperch, fried fish). We highly recommend it. A very good family time. Our 2 and a half-year-old daughter loved the frogs' legs.

18/10/2025: A restaurant with top-notch service. I only stopped in Montceau for my connecting flight and was looking for somewhere to eat.
The pan-fried foie gras is excellent, as are the veal and dessert.
The wait staff is very attentive to everyone, which is very pleasant.
I highly recommend this establishment; I'll definitely return with friends again!

16/03/2026: Passing through on business this Monday at lunchtime... I was greeted by the very kind and attentive owner... the set menu was €16.90 👌 he really understood everything... the dish was excellent, the ingredients were fresh, what more can I say... don't hesitate 👍👍

13/02/2026: I stopped going to this place because it was frequented by unsavory characters. People made a lot of noise and loitered there for hours, making it their home. Unfortunately, the managers at the time couldn't command respect. I'm glad those days are over. Peace and quiet have returned. The reception area is well-managed. I'll come back on my next trip to Le Creusot.
