15/12/2023: Welcomed by the owner, charming and smiling, who also provides room service, with efficiency and gentleness. Everything was perfect. Even without having an aperitif we had small appetizers. There were 2 of us and we chose different starters, main courses and desserts to taste = we enjoyed ourselves: fresh produce, homemade sauces 😋😋😋. And I forgot the crispy homemade rolls! Quiet hostel, outside the city. Large, easily accessible parking lot. Absolutely stop there. It is best to book, the room is not very big, which is also very pleasant

03/12/2023: Several meals at this restaurant, whether lunch or dinner, nothing changes, the atmosphere is calm and warm, the service is impeccable with an extremely high quality welcome, always smiling and attentive. The extra: sweet treats as an aperitif, small cakes with coffee, tea or herbal tea. Pastille of Vichy offered before departure, everything is so well thought out. The cuisine is refined, only homemade and extremely good. I recommend +++++++

20/09/2024: Very ordinary meal, not great, the setting, nice and the waitress very, very good. Too bad, they need to make progress in the kitchen...and especially update the site because we came for the calf's head and eggs in meurette and disappointment! We had a meurette sausage (not great) it spoils the brioche sausage! In short, the inn is nice but review the cuisine.

13/08/2024: Un très agréable restaurant pour nos retrouvailles en famille. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Des parts généreuses, mais la générosité ne s'arrête pas à l'assiette, elle est dans le sens de l'accueil et de la gentillesse que nous avons reçu pendant et après le service.

13/08/2024: Heureusement qu'il y a la vue pour améliorer tout ce qui est autour du menu !! En effet, on nous sert l'apéritif avec des toasts sans descriptif. on a deviné... Obligé de réclamer une carafe d'eau, puis une autre vers la fin du repas il n'y en a plus de fraîche alors on demande des glaçons. Lors de la prise des menus plus d'entrecôte, prendre dans ce qu'il reste. Jamais une explication sur les assiettes, et on demande... Pour nous servir le vin rouge et oui il fallait mettre d'autres verres, jamais vu ça !!! Conclusion : On regrette les prédécesseurs pour la qualité du service, la présentation de certains plats, traités trop à la légère On n'y retournera pas.

18/08/2024: EFES is a Turkish restaurant ideally located on the banks of the Saône, in the city center of Mâcon. The dishes are all really good… The room is well decorated and the manager is very pleasant and kind! The portions are generous and the service fast and efficient! I totally recommend!!!

Les prix ne sont pas du tout adaptés aux portions qui nous sont servies, soit il faut diminuer les prix soit il faut augmenter les portions. De plus, on se sent un peu jeté hors de table, à peine fini notre dernière bouchée que rapplique le serveur pour nous demander si nous avons fini…

03/09/2024: If you are looking for a wedding location that will make you feel like you live in your favorite romance novel: you found it. ♥️ Rénche & Geert made sure to help us as much as they could with the planning of our wedding weekend. A BBQ on the arrival day, a pizza party, the wedding day & a Farewell Brunch? No problem! You have so many different options and locations to choose from, I think you could fill a week full of events and could still find a new area on the stunning grounds of this chateau. ☀️ All of the providers we worked with were really, really professional and the food was delicious every single day. Rénche also offers to help with the wedding design & planning for a very fair fee & I would highly recommend to book this service to any couple. She knows this castle by heart and has a lot of experience with the providers so she can solve a lot of problems before they even occur. 🍀 We planned our wedding with around 80 people. If you choose a bigger group just be aware that you will need a small tent to add to the dining area so everyone can fit or you can just eat outside in front of the castle if the weather allows it (but don’t forget that this region is known for it’s weather changes so I would also recommend to always plan with a tent - worst case you can use it for some extra shade ☺️☝🏼). The rooms in the castle are well looked after and Rénche & Geert work very hard on renovating the castle more & more each year which is an impressive amount of work. The bathrooms are not in the rooms but they are super nicely organized so everyone can still have their privacy when taking a shower (but you might recommend your guests to bring a pyjama or a bathrobe 😂☝🏼). Anyways, long story short: we loved our wedding so, so much & we wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate it anywhere else. ♥️
