23/05/2026: Having visited the Umami restaurant in Chambéry, I came to try this one with its view of Lake Bourget. The service was pleasant and efficient. Overall, the meal was decent, but the rice was a bit mushy. A type of sushi with tapenade didn't hold its shape well (it wasn't formed properly). The menu is à la carte only, and there aren't many choices. Reservations are only accepted by phone.

01/04/2026: Do not miss this family owned Hotel. Tasty and original French cuisine at an affordable price. The owner is visible and adorable. A well located place for a vacation in the heart of the resort.

22/03/2026: Ideally located hotel, right at the foot of the slopes. Very well equipped: swimming pool, spa, games room… The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The staff were incredibly attentive and truly lovely. I highly recommend it!

20/04/2026: The residence is very well located. The accommodation is a bit cramped (theoretically for 6, but in practice for 4 or 5 max). There are a lot of stairs to climb up and down, but the staff are very welcoming and professional.

A wonderful welcome, a very comfortable and beautifully decorated room, a generous and delicious breakfast, and a spa that everyone loved. I highly recommend it! 02/06/2026: I went to lunch with a friend in March, and we did indeed eat well. Then came the bill. I paid contactless and received the itemized receipt without making a fuss, and to my surprise, they charged me for three glasses of white wine instead of two. Living in Grenoble, I let it go. Today I went back to the same restaurant and pointed out the mistake to the person who seemed to be the manager, politely explaining that these things happen. Apparently, he didn't appreciate it much. I thought, "Well, he'll make a gesture, but no such luck." I went back to pay and asked for an itemized bill. Not only did they not offer any compensation (honestly, I don't care), but they charged me for two extra coffees that we didn't order. At this point, it's either incompetence, poor organization, or, at worst, dishonesty. I urge everyone to carefully check their bill. As for me, I won't be going back.

12/03/2026: Delicious meal. Adaptation of the starter (cheese allergy): Replaced with cured ham. A delight! Beautiful vaulted dining room and very large tables for two people – it's rare to see that.

02/03/2026: I would like to give a glowing recommendation for the Hôtel du Nord. We had a very pleasant night there: the room was perfectly quiet, allowing us to sleep undisturbed. Moreover, the room rate is very affordable, offering excellent value for money. My wife and I also dined there, and it was a true delight. The meal was delicious, prepared with excellent regional ingredients, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef showcases each ingredient remarkably well and brings out all the subtle nuances of the products. Again, the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality offered. In short, we had a wonderful time and have very fond memories of our stay. We highly recommend this establishment.

10/04/2026: The most beautiful terrace in La Plagne, across all the villages. The owner is exceptionally kind and everything is done to ensure our comfort. Wonderful moments in this typical restaurant where Savoyard specialties are served alongside traditional cuisine. Highly recommended.

06/06/2026: The pizzas have been mediocre since the change of ownership. The owner is completely unprofessional and bordering on aggressive. Furthermore, there was a mistake on the price if I hadn't checked. The owner insisted there was no error; I had to insist she double-check and admit it. It's not a major issue, but it's disappointing for a pizzeria I used to love.

01/06/2026: This is a lovely restaurant with a beautiful shaded terrace and friendly, energetic staff. They regularly have live music. Last night, THE GAM'S created an amazing atmosphere; people were singing and dancing to rock/metal, a great mix of generations. We'll definitely be back... Bonus: bikers are welcome! 😉
