Les meilleurs restaurants en Vendee

24/09/2026: The best ice cream shop in La Tranche-sur-Mer. Top-notch chocolate, homemade whipped cream, generous portions, and a very friendly welcome. They're on par with La Martinière on Île de Ré. And that's high praise indeed! The place to be.

15/09/2026: I'm here... Still closed! It's September 15th and 5 PM, there are tourists in town and the ice cream shop is closed! So I went to another ice cream shop, and it was packed. I don't understand the system of closing ice cream sales when there are people around and it's hot... It's the beginning of the season, it's June 28th and there are tourists in La Tranche-sur-Mer. I go at 9 PM and Les Iles is closed. It's disappointing and a shame because the ice cream is amazing!!! I'm leaving without having been able to eat one of my favorite ice creams 😌

10/07/2026: We arrived by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from the owner. The set menu was excellent, with refined dishes and great value for money. We'll definitely be back.

20/06/2026: Friendly staff, very good restaurant, had the daily special very good, from 2pm it switches to a snack menu.

10/09/2026: Excellent crêperie, don't hesitate to go!

17/06/2026: We came for dinner as a family of three, including a child. The Moscow mule was excellent! The balance of the different dishes was perfect. The sweet and savory ice creams were incredible. The desserts were less elaborate than the main courses but were still very indulgent. A children's menu with similar choices to the adult menu = thank you! 🙌 A very good place!

21/08/2026: A warm welcome, efficient and discreet service, always with a smile. The food featured quality ingredients, homemade dishes, and very little waiting between courses. Excellent value for money. A must-visit if you're in the area.

24/09/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and we weren't disappointed! A €14 set menu, homemade, and served with a smile!

24/09/2026: Nice place and the food is very good, including the pizzas 🍕

20/09/2026: A real canteen, but not a restaurant. The daily special was a disaster. Frozen fries. Roast pork: two meager slices with no sauce. They need to change the chef. Avoid at all costs.

20/09/2026: Very disappointed. The salad was a small, canteen-style salad with no originality. The daily special was another canteen-style meal. The fries were frozen. Two small slices of braised ham were sold as roast pork. No effort was made to present the meal. Avoid.

11/08/2026: Family meal outdoors. Excellent meal (set menu) and reasonable price 👌 The round table was very pleasant for conversation.

11/08/2026: We came on Saturday, August 8th, for a table of 11 on the terrace for a local event and were disappointed that the staff spoiled our evening. We had a reservation for 9:30 pm and arrived at 9:32 pm. The first words from the waitress who served us were, "Ah, we were expecting you, but not exactly eagerly." We tried to lighten the mood with a few jokes, but she didn't want to hear us and politely brushed us off. One of my friends, not having any water for his aperitif, politely asked the waitress if he could have some, and she replied, "I'll take care of it in a bit." I won't go into all the details, but I think that's enough. It's a real shame considering the beautiful setting and the quality of the food. We were thinking of promoting your restaurant because we have 150,000 followers on our social media and like to share our experiences when we visit, but I think it would be better to refrain because you don't deserve a bad review based on just one evening a year.

22/03/2026: Quality products and a warm welcome, Sunday chicken with tasty little potatoes, yum 😋

08/03/2026: Excellent service, top-notch chicken and fries. Very reasonable price. Don't hesitate!
