What we liked:
Auberge de la Boucle won us over with its authentic and relaxing atmosphere. Its peaceful location is perfect for unwinding and enjoying a good night’s rest. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome and kindness of the staff, who immediately made us feel at home. The dining experience was also excellent, from breakfast to dinner at the restaurant. A truly enjoyable stay and a wonderful way to begin our holiday in Normandy.

08/09/2026: Frankly disappointed. No salt or pepper on the table. The waiter wasn't pleasant. We asked him to bring us more aperitifs because we arrived late, he said yes but never brought them. At the end, we just asked for a small digestif as a gesture of goodwill, but he refused, especially since we were at the cinema. We didn't receive the five euro discount per person. Frankly dishonest, never again.
08/09/2026: My wife and I came for dinner this evening and ordered two of the "Coup de Cœur" menus.
I especially wanted to highlight Yoan's professionalism. His attitude, the way he welcomed us, and his attentiveness to our table throughout the meal truly made all the difference.
It's quite rare and worth mentioning: thanks to him, we genuinely felt like we were being served in a real restaurant, with attentive, professional, and personal service.
In a chain like Hippopotamus, where you might sometimes expect a more standardized service, having someone so dedicated completely transforms the experience.
Thank you to Yoan for his professionalism and positive attitude. It's definitely the kind of service that makes you want to come back.

28/07/2026: We absolutely loved this little restaurant, which truly has the feel of a traditional inn. It has everything we love: generous, flavorful cuisine prepared with superb local French ingredients. A special mention goes to the selection of excellent wines and beers that perfectly complement the meal!
The service is simply impeccable. The entire team is incredibly attentive, and the chef (who seems to be the owner) is exceptionally kind. You can immediately tell when a chef cooks with passion and respect for the customer!
The value for money is excellent, and the icing on the cake: there's very convenient parking right next door.
It's truly heartwarming to see that such authentic and welcoming places still exist in the region. Thank you for this wonderful experience; we will definitely be back!

13/07/2026: This is a restaurant where I regularly have lunch and I'm always warmly welcomed. The service is pleasant and the staff is friendly. The small terrace is a real bonus for enjoying the sun at lunchtime when the weather is nice. The food is good, the portions are decent, and it's perfect for a pleasant lunch break. It's a place I continue to frequent with pleasure.

18/05/2026: We discovered this hotel by chance with a last-minute booking. I have rarely experienced such high-quality service from every single staff member we encountered, which shows it's a deliberate policy of the establishment. We were stuck on the highway, arriving at 10 PM instead of 8:30 PM; we were expecting a quick room service, but the kitchen staff offered, without us even asking, to welcome us to the restaurant where we enjoyed a very fine dinner served by a kind and charming head waiter. The very green setting near the forest is lovely and offers a real change of scenery. The room was very comfortable and unique. Note: if you type "hotel cazaudehore" into Waze, it will take you to the center of Saint-Germain-en-Laye; you should type in the address or just "cazaudehore".
10/05/2026: This hotel is wonderful. Whether in the hotel or the restaurant, all the staff were very efficient and responsive, and we truly felt their hospitality. We were able to completely relax. The restaurant also had a great atmosphere, and the food was delicious.
If there's one area for improvement, it would be the wine service: after the first glass was poured by the staff, we had to refill our own glasses because the servers seemed very busy. With an additional person in the dining room, this kind of small detail would undoubtedly have been better handled, and the experience would have been even more enjoyable.

06/09/2026: I came for a quick dinner, ordering only a few appetizers, but the experience was ruined from the start by an unacceptable remark from the waiter ("that's not even the price of the tablecloth").
The rest of the experience did nothing to redeem this lack of professionalism:
Service: slow, pushy, and they forgot the water carafe.
Food: dishes that were abnormally spicy (intentionally or not?) and a paltry portion of bread (four measly slices of baguette for three people).
A dismissive welcome and poor quality that makes no sense. Avoid this place.
17/08/2026: Great food, good quantity, nice accrouments like garbanzo beans and juicy grapes. The pastry desserts tasted a bit on the stale side. Lamb meat was cooked to tender perfection. This restaurant is a must-go back for: delicious Moroccan food served honestly and generously. Kudos to the hardworking waitress/daughter. At first glance there's no Moroccan vibe or appearance, but it's all reserved for the food.
