01/03/2026: Great hotel! It was really pleasant to stay here for a short weekend. The hotel is well located in relation to the city center and close to the train station. We came with our bikes, and it wasn't a problem at all! We received a warm welcome! The staff were kind and friendly. A special mention for Elodie, who is very friendly! The breakfast buffet is excellent, with very good local products. A water fountain is available, which is a nice touch. You can fill your own water pitcher (don't forget!) and your water bottle—very convenient. We highly recommend it!

26/03/2026: Beware of cats! Several cats roam the ground floor where the bar and dining area are located. From a hygiene perspective – especially for allergy sufferers – this is problematic. I didn't enjoy my stay at Le Saint Mary. While it was spruced up with plenty of decorations, the details were old and not very clean.

16/10/2025: I've known La Source du Mont since the mid-1990s. It was always a great pleasure to spend time at this establishment. Madame Fournier ran the business with a masterful hand; nothing was left to chance, and everything was perfect. Among other things, she was very attentive to the food. Quality products were well prepared by a top-notch chef. The three chimneys and three cocottes awarded by Logis de France were well-deserved. The business was recently taken over; I went for dinner there in mid-October; it was a disaster. The welcome, the food, the service, and the customers—everything has fallen to the lowest level. I strongly advise against it...

19/09/2025: An excellent roadside restaurant! The dishes are very good, plentiful, and generous, perfect for a good home-style meal. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, which makes your break even more enjoyable. A place to remember and recommend without hesitation!

29/12/2025: Hello, I'm finally taking the time to write, but please note that I was there at the end of August. I wanted to climb the Puy Mary, being a big fan of the Tour de France. On that sweltering day at the summit, I decided to ask for water at this restaurant, which was refused! I hope that if a tax inspector happens to see this, they'll read my comment because it's completely illegal, dangerous, and inhumane. Furthermore, the staff is appalling, odious, definitely avoid this place. While I was there, all I got was reprimands and yelling. They certainly take advantage of their tenants (the only positive thing about this restaurant) because I had the chance to talk to other customers who also found the service disgusting.

09/05/2026: The setting is superb, but the food is just so-so. It's the first time I've ever had truffade served straight from the pan; it's not very Auvergnat at all, and it smelled strongly of reheated food. I say reheated, but the truffade was barely warm. My friend ordered tripe and only got two small pieces; the quantity was disappointing as well. As for the service, I defy anyone to get a smile or even a hint of joy from the gentleman. It's a shame to work in a profession that serves people and be so withdrawn.

26/04/2026: Discovered two years ago, today we shared this great spot with our children and my parents. A warm and unpretentious welcome (fantastic!) from the owners, a delicious meal (frog legs, burgers, etc.), quick service, and a family atmosphere, all on the lake's dock. A fantastic time. We'll definitely be back!

28/11/2025: Absolutely avoid this place. Incompetent people who waste your time. I went to this bar to withdraw money that had been sent to me via Western Union. I am a citizen of the European Union. To withdraw the funds, I presented my national identity card. They refused the transaction, claiming I needed a passport to withdraw the money. I was stunned! My country has been part of the EU for almost 20 years, and I have absolutely NO legal obligation to have a passport. Furthermore, if this person had read the terms and conditions for withdrawing a Western Union transfer more carefully, they would have seen that an identity card issued by an EU country is perfectly sufficient to withdraw this money. What am I supposed to do now? Apply for a passport at my embassy? What for? To deal with someone who is incompetent in geography and European law? Perhaps you should close your Western Union location and just continue selling alcohol and cigarettes... that obviously doesn't require too much intellectual skill.

04/10/2025: I'm not usually picky, but I was disappointed. Apart from the "old-fashioned" look, which is acceptable (except for the shower stall), we had one bath towel for two when it was labeled "bath towel," no shower mat, a big leak on the floor after the shower...a shame.

29/10/2025: We have known and frequented this establishment for several years. It was with great pleasure that we returned this October for three nights. What can I say? The room is beautifully decorated and clean, the breakfast is very good, and Simone is wonderful. I highly recommend this guesthouse, which knows how to welcome its guests. It's very well located, just a stone's throw from Chaudes-Aigues and its thermal spa, Laguiole, and La Chaldette, another spa town. Thank you very much for your hospitality, and see you soon... 22/10/2025: Very pleasant stay. We were very well received in this old hotel, the entire space (bar, kitchens, lounge, etc.) was at our disposal. The rooms are very comfortable. Ideal for small groups of hikers.
