19/08/2024: We had a wonderful stay at the Grimaldi Hotel! The room is right next to the old castle and has a unique flair. The view of the castle courtyard in the middle of the mountain is breathtaking. Thanks to the air conditioning, it was pleasantly cool even in summer. In the evening, you can enjoy the equally good food in the Grimaldi restaurant while listening to live music. Tip: Try the tiramisu, it's heavenly! You can tell that the young team puts a lot of effort into creating a lovely restaurant experience. A free bus provides an easy transfer directly to the castle, so you don't have to make the ascent on foot. It is still worth walking down as the historic town is beautiful. Thank you Yoan for the lovely stay, we would come back anytime!

16/08/2024: We paid half a picon beer 5 euros 20, but hey a high price in a tourist place can sometimes be justified if the service or food allows it. This was not the case. When we ask for peanuts to accompany our beers, we are answered curtly "PIZZA", as if to say: "if you are hungry you just have to buy a pizza". Except that we didn't want to have dinner yet, because it was still early, and even less did we want to spend 14 euros on a pizza that looked more like a burnt cookie than anything else. When we wanted to pay by credit card we were told that... lightning had fried the credit card terminal and that we could only pay in cash... We have had better excuses.

15/05/2024: Second stay in Vence and I chose this hotel for its location and for the friendly welcome which did not disappoint me again this time. Only one downside about breakfast.

03/09/2024: The setting of the restaurant is charming and the service is impeccable. However, I was disappointed to see the complete absence of vegetarian options on the menu. When I expressed my wish, I received an unfortunate remark suggesting that vegetarians should conform to normal dietary standards. Such thinking is not only inappropriate but also indicates a lack of open-mindedness. A facility of this level should be able to offer options for all diets.

31/08/2024: WOW. If I could give this review more than five stars, I would! My wife and I weren’t staying at the hotel, but wanted to book a nice dinner to celebrate our honeymoon. Elsa and its incredible food and staff did not disappoint. We were seated outside on the gorgeous patio, enjoyed a spectacular sunset, and delighted in the creative food and excellent service. This was the best service I’ve received at any restaurant. We loved hearing the sounds of the ocean as we dined. Thank you again to Maurice and team for making our honeymoon so special with the unexpected culinary surprises and warm service.
