19/06/2024: Passer une soirée au Via Cassia, c'était passer une très bonne soirée Jazz, avec d'excellents musiciens professionnels. Bien entendu,. comme ces musiciens étaient rémunérés, Via Casssia devait répercuter ce budget sur le prix de la restauration qui restait modéré, contrairement à certaines allégations. Je regrette sincèrement la fermeture définitive de ce haut lieu du New Orleans.

13/09/2024: Vraiment pas incroyable, une attente interminable pour seulement 4 plats qui en plus pour deux d’entre eux ( des salades Césars ) était pas top avec de la mayo à la place de la sauce Césars et le poulet pas très très bien cuit, pour les deux autres plats c’était correct, restaurant pratique pour dépanner mais sans plus.

11/09/2024: We take two glasses of white wine (Chablis), 11 euros each. They throw two scant glasses on the table, hot and without any accompaniment or snack. Never to see each other again

20/09/2024: Poor and very expensive food, fish not fresh, in the following days we were all very ill.

17/08/2024: Very warm and pleasant welcome. In terms of the room, some disappointments given the standard displayed in the hotel with many works of art, our room was equipped with a blackout curtain which was stained, the terrace not very clean either. Small cold shower also for the espressos which are charged at breakfast in the morning, it's a little strong. The breakfast was plentiful as long as you didn't arrive too late because otherwise there was no croissant or pain au chocolat, otherwise great quality of the products offered apart from the white ham which was of very poor quality for an establishment like this. Apart from these small problems, very happy with our stay.

09/08/2024: I'm not in the habit of giving a bad review but I was very upset by this stay. The soundproofing of the rooms is horrible. Silence in a room, tranquility, is still the basis of any stay, especially a 4-star hotel. We can hear the neighboring rooms with their discussions (people talking, we could understand their sentences, and it was even worse when they were in their bathroom, it created an echo) we can hear their TV or when they turn on a tap. The staff explains to us that this is the first time they have heard this kind of remark with an unpleasant tone. What a lie knowing that other comments talk about it. Our room also overlooked the tennis and pétanque court. Result no peace. You might as well take a hotel in the middle of town. I want an experience like that in a Formula 1, but not 550 euros for two nights. Breakfast at 20 euros to which must be added coffee shots at 3 euros. Result: two double espressos for 12 euros. No understanding from the staff who don't care about you at all. Besides, it’s simple, I have rarely seen such unpleasant hotel staff. 52 euros for the breakfast bill. I was already upset about the rooms, I preferred to calm down. I also think that when you hate your stay, you no longer forgive anything. Never again in this hotel whose exterior and corridors resemble a municipal hall from the 80s. I think that the problem with the rooms cannot be remedied because it is a construction problem, so I wish them courage for the future. Too bad because the rooms are very beautiful. And it’s right next to Vence and Saint Paul de Vence.

04/09/2024: Impossible to contact them, I have a coupon purchased on Groupon and you have to call to reserve... The number on Google is apparently not assigned and the cell number I have on my coupon does not accept new ones message ... On their website, the phone number is the same as Google. It's really not serious, so the coupon paid in the wind... I don't recommend this restaurant if you want to go there with good deals!

03/09/2024: No respect for the customer from the manager (Toilets supposedly closed) after having consumed at the bar on the promenade and on the same day at the beach restaurant, poor welcome and derogatory remarks from the same manager who creates a bad climate for his colleagues and certain customers He is obviously very selective I recommend the neighboring restaurants, which are more welcoming and have better service.

27/06/2024: Après avoir cherché une adresse sympa sur TripAdvisor, j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur la Baronne car plein de commentaires élogieux m'y ont incité. À l'arrivée, je ne suis pas déçu : un accueil super chaleureux, et une ambiance un peu vintage qui me laisse à penser que la cuisine sera sympathique... Hélas, ce jour là je n'ai pas choisi ce que j'aurais choisi d'habitude et mal m'en prit : une portion de pizza famélique en entrée, une salade mixte fromage charcuterie en plat du jour. Je ne m'étalerai pas sur le sujet et préfère penser que les poivrons à l'huile et l'andouillette 5 A auraient été un choix plus judicieux. Prochaine fois, car je laisse toujours une seconde chance. Mais je suis sûr que l'excellent cuisinier que j'ai salué en partant peut faire beaucoup mieux que de la salade Iceberg avec un pauvre cheddar pour hamburger en tranches et des copeaux de talon de jambon crû que j'ai eu du mal à mâcher, et c'est la raison pour laquelle j'exprime mon mécontentement, car lui aussi, il sait que ce jour il n'a pas sorti de la bonne cuisine à ma table. En revanche, quelle gentillesse en salle, c'est les 3 points accordés.

13/08/2024: It's impossible to run such a horrible restaurant in such a beautiful place. We would never have thought that possible. We were there yesterday and didn't read the reviews beforehand. The first time and we regretted it. There were already bits of food everywhere on the ground outside. The map is quite large, which usually doesn't indicate good quality. Nevertheless, we wanted to give it a try. What we should regret. In contrast to many restaurants, it is quite cheap here. We ordered a starter (tomato mozzarella) which was ok. We were also served bread that was very old and hard. Before the main course came, we washed our hands... It was very dirty there, I had a bad feeling. When I went back I got a quick glimpse into the "kitchen", which is very untidy and dirty. There was also a lot of dirt on the floor. Still, we wanted to give the food a chance. The pizza was very hard and not good. It had no taste and there were no fresh ingredients. Probably a frozen food, although these taste much better from the supermarket. My husband ate a piece, then couldn't eat it anymore. I had pasta Bolognese, it tasted like canned food. The noodles are way too soft and there were no spices or herbs in them. It was definitely a ready meal. Nothing was fresh or tasted good. We really regretted spending 60 euros there and were afraid of getting stomach problems. Please trust the comments!!! It's very very bad food. DISASTER!!! The service was okay.

18/08/2024: To avoid, tourist trap! Useless staff and not enough.. No service and food below average. There are not taking care of you. I have been coming here for many years but this is the last time.

05/08/2024: We wanted to stay for a night 🌙 and decided to check the vibe first. We arrived and each had breakfast. I was a bit disappointed by how bad the orange juice was. The coffee was really 👌, but the rest was not worth 22€ each. We were there very early, around 8:30, and wanted to relax on the sunbeds. However, a staff member with a very bad attitude told us they were for hotel guests only. The area was completely empty as you can see from my second picture. I got very annoyed and wanted to leave, and in my haste, I forgot my sunglasses 👓. I called the hotel, but they said they couldn't find them, even though you can see them in the photo with the white cover. That was the last time I saw them. A tip for the staff: Please speak with a gentle voice and attitude, especially in the morning. I tried to explain that we just wanted to relax for 5 minutes and then leave, but he said no, which I would understand if there had been any other guests around.

26/07/2024: I had been here a couple of times in the evening - the bearded guy in the picture was most welcoming and friendly. During the day time, on my one and only visit, a totally different picture! The bartender and the overweight guy were both the most unwelcoming, unfriendly hospitality staff I have encountered in years. They were rude with myself and another tourist couple, continually moving tables and instructing us to move. Behaved differently when a local appeared. Avoid and don't support such a horrible business!

10/07/2024: Both staff act like mutes and couldn’t be bothered to even give a smile. Beer was ok at $7 a pint but zero vibe or atmosphere

27/09/2024: We stayed a few nights at Mas Candille and to get used to the beautiful 5-star establishments, here is our experience: - The hotel is located in a peaceful environment, in the heart of Mougins. The view is splendid! - Our arrival at the hotel was absolutely not warm. The gentleman at reception neither welcomed us, nor offered refreshments, nor a tour of the premises... He simply asked us our name and gave us the room card. - The room is new, in a cozy style. The bedding is excellent! - The restaurant for dining overlooks a pretty swimming pool. We waited 15 minutes before a server took our order. - The restaurant's kitchen is open to the tables. Which is generally appreciable provided that the kitchen is not a place of chatter and a noise nuisance for the terrace! The chef and his brigade were particularly noisy and constantly on their cell phones and laptops. Damage. - The dishes were very good and the servers were pleasant. - Back in the room, a very loud noise from the outside air conditioning prevented us from getting to sleep. We asked to change rooms the next day. - Breakfast is very good. The room is not spacious but the staff are pleasant. - The establishment has a second very large and heated swimming pool. The problem: no service around the swimming pool. No one to welcome or available. In a 4 star, this would be normal. Finally, the overall experience is a little disappointing, especially since we regularly go to Mas de Pierre, which is a real guarantee of 5-star quality. We are well aware that Mas Candille opened its doors a few months ago and that the team may struggle to get up to speed.

30/08/2024: Very disappointing in terms of reception. A former customer of Mas de Candille before the change, it was made clear to me that it was impossible to take advantage of the swimming pool even if we had lunch at lunchtime at the POOL, a massage at the spa and another dinner in the evening! Night time is essential! No problem we will go elsewhere...
