09/11/2025: A 40-minute wait for three bruschetta, and when we asked about their progress, they told us they had just started preparing them. They then told us we should have "let them know if we were in a hurry." Does that mean they're putting us ahead of everyone else? It's ridiculous! I definitely don't recommend this place. We left without eating.

12/10/2025: A wonderful surprise, this restaurant was taken over in September 2025 by a young chef, a young and dynamic team, and the added bonus: a menu featuring 3 starters, 3 or 4 main courses, and 3 desserts... on a blackboard. I highly recommend this NEW beach restaurant.

14/09/2025: We ordered the Greek salad for 24 euros. All the ingredients listed were not in the salad. No beefsteak tomato, no cucumber, no lime. Plus, no taste, tasteless. Poor quality, high price! Avoid!

14/03/2026: The brasserie is well-located, and the servers were friendly despite a very long wait for our order, even though at 10:30 PM there were few customers and many servers. The warm goat cheese salad at €24 was a scandal: huge chunks of bread and two tiny slices of goat cheese log, one of which was already cut. I sent it back, they apologized, and brought me a new salad with minuscule portions of goat cheese. An absolute food rip-off.

12/03/2026: It's not renovations they should have done, it's changing their servers. I sat for half an hour without anyone coming to take my order, and when I called the waiter over, he told me it wasn't him. But no one came anyway. The service was appalling, and the servers seemed like they weren't there at all. My advice: go somewhere else. I got up and left. I came for lunch, and I have no regrets.

06/01/2026: We left without eating! After a long wait to be seated, we were rebuffed by the waiter in our section: "Who seated you there? Show me the waiter who seated you there. You don't just sit down like that!" Unbelievable!

05/01/2026: In the resorts, many restaurants are closed in winter, which is a real shame for the locals. Chez Boisset is a Saintes institution; the food is excellent, and there's live music even out of season. I've always had a great time there, and the servers are very friendly and, above all, professional. This restaurant could easily cater to transient customers, but it doesn't. I highly recommend it.

11/03/2026: We went there late in the morning. We discovered delicious cappuccinos and an excellent hot chocolate with raspberry and whipped cream! Superb, very pleasant service.

07/12/2025: We waited 20 minutes before the waiter took our order. Once he did, he ordered the wrong chocolate and forgot the glass of water. The waiters then falsely accused one of our friends of not having paid, while also making racist remarks. Absolutely avoid this place.

18/10/2025: The meal was high-quality and very good! However, the welcome was unfriendly and unsmiling. And definitely don't go with young children; they won't be welcome...

07/02/2026: The pizzas were okay, nothing extraordinary, but they're by far the best pizzas I've ever had. I find it unacceptable that a "restaurant" refuses credit cards in 2026. I had to withdraw cash, which resulted in cold pizzas—fantastic! First and last time I'll ever set foot in there!

07/02/2026: The pizzeria was very poorly received. And once there, we learned they don't accept credit cards; we had to go around the room to withdraw cash. Result: lukewarm pizza, barely good.

23/03/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience today. The elderly woman at the crepe and ice cream counter was treated unequally for no reason. She was haughty and offered a service to some customers but refused to us. There were several mistakes and shocking waste: ice cream was thrown away and unnecessarily remade, and a perfectly edible crepe was taken back and replaced with a smaller, undercooked one—incomprehensible and leaving a strong sense of injustice. There was also a problem with the manager at the checkout: I was charged twice for a crepe, and then I received an incorrect refund that I had to get corrected. Despite my calm remarks, the manager took her side and behaved arrogantly. It's a shame, because the rest of the team (servers and kitchen staff) was great.

07/02/2026: A bakery just the way we like them! A place we highly recommend for breakfast, a sweet treat, or your daily bread purchase. You can taste the quality of the homemade quality in every bite! A wide selection of breads, pastries, savory items, and a special mention for the cakes, which are simply incredible! A must-try!

02/02/2026: We ordered a dark chocolate cake for 12 people. Everyone loved this light and delicious cake. We will definitely go back.

17/03/2026: The food was less than ordinary. When we were about to pay, the manager said they don’t accept credit cards (which is highly unusual for a restaurant of this size). Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough cash on me so the manager directed me to the store next door that had an ATM. The currency exchange rate was unjustifiable. It was highway robbery. Can you see the con?

10/03/2026: A wonderful experience at the restaurant! We were greeted by the very friendly and attentive waitress Djazira, who took excellent care of us from beginning to end. The bouillabaisse royale was superb, a real treat! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
