04/04/2026: This should be the "bar du moment".A quirky place,a little off the beaten track.The proprietor is "une phenomene" - as the French would say.Single handedly she works like lightning providing an exceptionally efficient and friendly service.The food is excellent and very reasonably priced.This is an unpretentious bistro with loads of character.Little chairs are attached to the top of one side of the bar - on which women can hang their handbags - a very unusual and whimsical feature.If you're looking for an "atmospheric " bar that is a bit different this is definitely it.

16/03/2026: A creative and wonderful menu that changes each week. We had the frog legs and beet root starter which were excellent. The beer root had a nice blend of sweet and earthy flavors. The fog legs had a great mix of flavors. We had the tuna entree which was complimented with a wonderful leek side with a balanced sauce. The tuna was amazing with pesto, pine nuts, and a great blend of sweet. One of the best tuna dishes I've ever had. Finished off with the chocolate dessert. This is a must go to place.

09/03/2026: My husband and I came to lunch at the restaurant yesterday on the recommendation of our real estate agency director and our Versailles florist (that speaks volumes about its reputation!), and we weren't disappointed! Everything was perfect: the friendliness of the staff, the delicious food, the generous portions, the option to bring our dogs, the decor... It's impossible to say enough good things, everything was just right. Special mention for the tarte tatin... I could come back just for that! 🤣 Thank you and well done! 👏

25/03/2026: Dinner with friends on March 23rd during a holiday in Trouville-sur-Mer. We returned with friends this year after being delighted with our first visit as a couple in 2025, which earned us a 5/5 rating across the board. The aperitif was decent and well-served. We were quite disappointed by the starters; the deviled eggs and burrata were really quite ordinary. We were even more disappointed by the main courses, which were served cold, especially the chicken supreme and the fries. Personally, I chose a salmon tartare with lime and ginger, which was bland and tasteless. However, the desserts were good! Furthermore, we ordered knives and were told they were out. We also ordered a fish casserole, which was then canceled as it was also unavailable. The waitress seemed rather embarrassed but very friendly, and we were offered a complimentary after-dinner drink. In short, it was significantly worse than a year ago. It's a shame. Let's hope the quality returns to a good level very soon. Didier (Belgium).

05/03/2026: We were initially very well received; however, the moment my daughter asked to change her drink, even though she hadn't finished it because of several hairs in the glass, the service changed. Our plates were empty. A salad for €22 was practically empty. A plate of fish and chips with two pieces of fish and a small handful of fries for €22. That's very expensive. Avoid it!!!

27/09/2025: La Potinière Restaurant: a wonderful welcome, very affordable prices, and a menu from €15 to €25. Homemade cuisine using local produce. I highly recommend this little restaurant on the banks of the Orne. I thoroughly enjoyed their cuisine.

02/09/2025: A brilliant local eatery discovered thanks to Google maps, we would never have stumbled across this place but so glad we did! Beautiful and reasonably priced set menu, lovely atmosphere and really authentic french eating experience. Highly recommend. Top tip: order the Kir Normand apertif.

06/04/2026: After a magnificent sunset on Houlgate beach, we stepped into this restaurant/tea room (Easter Sunday evening). The dining room was lovely, both understated and cozy. We found a menu with some excellent choices, fewer dishes but fresh, high-quality ingredients (I prefer this approach). The staff (mostly women) were very pleasant and attentive. The prices were reasonable. A wonderful discovery in this beautiful region.

03/04/2026: We walk in and there's already a table with cutlery ready to serve, practically in the sliding door of the restaurant's entrance. It's clear from the moment you step inside that every square inch is being used to make money, regardless of customer comfort. It's 5 degrees Celsius and raining outside, so it doesn't matter if you leave this restaurant with a cold, it'll be a souvenir... Our doubts about this establishment's practices are confirmed as soon as we order the aperitifs, the beers are more expensive than at the Deauville Casino, and the wines... I won't mention the purchase prices for buying and selling them, but reselling a bottle of Pouilly-Fumé for 64 euros is still outrageous. ...The real gem: a 0.5cl Leffe for 15.90 euros... I'm speechless. Anyway, we eat our meal, nothing more. I ordered a banana split for dessert... I like my bananas slightly underripe, but this one was so small I couldn't even cut it open to eat it. So I left it, told the waitress when I went to pay, but she didn't react... In short, I won't be going back, it's a tourist trap.

22/03/2026: We had a very good evening in this restaurant with a very pleasant owner who listened to his customers, the food was very good, the prices reasonable, it was perfect, I recommend it.

15/03/2026: On the advice of an artist at the Deauville market, "Lou Goty," I discovered this little haven of peace and nature... At the bistro, we had a wonderful meal, and it was a real pleasure to share it together... a warm welcome and smiles were guaranteed! And everything else that goes with it, which I'll let you discover for yourselves! Thank you, thank you...
