02/09/2024: A short 5 minute walk away from the over priced restaurants in the harbour, you'll find this gem of a place. With perfectly spoken English, the team at Chez DD know their wines! It's not a restaurant, but offers what the French do best...plates of cured years, amazing cheese, divine salads all washed down with the inexpensive but fabulous wine...and change out of Euro60.

25/01/2026: Worst restaurant ever, a total rip-off. Parisian prices for tasteless food and an inflated bill. The onion soup neither tasted nor looked like onion soup, the marrow bones were the size of carrots, the mussels were bland, and the fries were tiny. Only the meat was decent. They overcharged us for coffee and turned one Americano into two espressos…completely dishonest

25/01/2026: Worst restaurant in Dives-sur-Mer, a complete rip-off. Prices worthy of Paris for bland and uninteresting dishes, with inconsistencies on the bill to boot. The onion soup was unrecognizable, both in taste and appearance, the marrow bone was ridiculously small (barely the size of a carrot), the mussels were tasteless, and the portion of fries was minuscule. Only the meat dishes were somewhat redeeming. To top it all off: coffees were overcharged, and a large coffee was mysteriously transformed into two espressos… highly questionable practices. The whole experience gives an overall impression of a lack of professionalism and transparency, including the service, provided by very young waiters, which raises questions. However, the waiters were professional and courteous, unlike the chef, whose skill level is frankly deplorable. In short, a disappointing experience from beginning to end. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

30/05/2025: We were welcomed at 2:30 p.m. on Ascension Day weekend for a meal on the terrace. The meal was good, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was good with a bit of music.

11/11/2024: The servers are friendly. The oysters are excellent. The fish soup is good but it is really watery, too bad. The café is 2.5e on the terrace. Reasonable prices on the other hand for mineral water I find the price excessive

22/12/2025: Hello everyone, having heard about this place and having already spoken to the owners, I suspected I wouldn't be disappointed by the quality of the service, the quality of the food, and the generous portions. In short, you can go there without hesitation. Make a reservation, though, as it's fully booked every lunchtime. I recommend this restaurant 100%. Sincerely.

It was very original and delicious, we were among friends of 4, it was a real success. The chef is at your side and guides you perfectly in this gastronomic discovery. One of the best references in our region. Well done 🎉

09/12/2024: Very good experience at the Âtre restaurant! We had the 5-course dinner: the meal was very good, warm, while allowing us to rediscover certain “classics” of cuisine with familiar dishes or ingredients! Special mention for the possibility of food and alcohol-free pairings. A real treat to try in Honfleur without hesitation!!

29/11/2025: The service was extremely poor. The waitress made a mistake with our order when we pointed it out... She rudely snapped, "I noticed my mistake, but usually she leaves nicely..." She changed our order with a great deal of disdain... Sorry, but I do not recommend this waitress.

11/12/2025: The Savoyard fondue of the moment (not listed on the menu) is very good! The charcuterie platter was enough for me, but perhaps a little small for those with a big appetite. The service and welcome from the owners were perfect.

28/11/2025: I have to give it one star because I can't give less. This isn't the mountains, according to the waitress. If you're planning a trip there, it's a nine-hour drive to the Alps. You will, however, find the altitude: very high in terms of judgment, very low in terms of the food. A direct flight to the university hospital is the place to catch listeriosis! Be aware that the unused cheese from your raclette is reused after being heated throughout the meal to be used in the other dishes the next day! And the owner himself insisted on telling us this; he even came to see us. In terms of culinary recycling, you take the gold medal, congratulations. Apparently, logic stayed in the kitchen when it came to portion sizes. Having Inflammatory Bowel Disease, I put my health at risk by eating at this restaurant. I hope this isn't the last thing I'll be writing on Google. You can't steal from your neighbors' plates while they're eating their raclette. However, you are allowed to take their fries and potatoes. This isn't written on the menu or mentioned before ordering, of course. However, it's very clearly explained once the waiters have done their research. Between raclette robbery and chipping, it's hard to know what to think. And yes, the stares at our table almost made the cheese wheel fall over; that would have been a real shame. You're not treated like customers, but like walking wallets!
