16/07/2026: First of all, what a delight this vaulted cellar was in the middle of a heatwave! It really whetted my appetite, which is just as well, given how refined and delicious the cuisine is. Each dish pays homage to local specialties—snails, beef bourguignon, Époisses cheese—but with a touch of originality. Special mention goes to our waiter who won my husband over with his homemade iced tea with pear and elderflower. If you're ever in Beaune, a visit is a must!

08/07/2026: Every Friday in the summer, we eat outside while watching a show in a casual, open-air setting, with live music... The atmosphere is fantastic, the owners are very friendly, and the Irish coffee is excellent—no surprise, the owner is Irish! A place to remember for its conviviality and ambiance.

08/08/2026: Passing through Dijon this evening, we chose this restaurant; the atmosphere was pleasant. We were served by John: kind, professional, and pleasant in every situation! He handled every situation, even the unpleasant ones, perfectly: well done! Every member of the staff had a kind word for their customers: a gentle pat for a dog, a quick high-five for a child… a friendly greeting to a regular… I'm impressed; you don't see that everywhere… a pleasant team focused on the customer.

19/07/2026: I came in last Friday to wait a few minutes, but I was warmly welcomed by the waitress Coralie, who was very professional, friendly, cheerful, offered good advice, and was very efficient. I simply asked for a non-alcoholic red fruit cocktail without specifying anything, as I wasn't familiar with the menu, and she served me a truly excellent cocktail. The price was very reasonable, and the atmosphere was very pleasant for spending some time in the beautiful streets of Dijon. I highly recommend it!

10/07/2026: We had lunch there as a party of four on Tuesday, and it was a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The people seated next to us were very friendly, and we had a wonderful time. A must-visit spot in the center of Dijon.

04/08/2026: Perhaps the best way to discover Gevrey-Chambertin. The setting is magnificent, the food is excellent, and the wine is exceptional. The staff is very pleasant; I highly recommend this place.

30/07/2026: Nice place with an impressive wine list. The food is classic bistrot fare, well executed, rich, and satisfying, though we found it quite heavy and the portions were on the large side. The main downside for us was the service. While the staff were professional and efficient, the experience felt a bit impersonal. We missed a little warmth and a more personal touch.

17/07/2026: After a sudden and impressive hailstorm in the middle of July, we went to Léon's for dinner. We chose a set menu, along with a main course from the à la carte menu. For our starter, the poached eggs in red wine sauce were delicious. The sauce, with its intense wine flavor, was absolutely perfect with the bread, and the egg added even more richness. The main course from the set menu was Léon's beef bourguignon. Again, a resounding success: meltingly tender and perfectly cooked meat in a rich, deep sauce with a pronounced wine flavor. In addition to the set menu, we also followed the chef's recommendation and ordered the braised sweetbreads with morels. If you enjoy offal, this is a very delicate dish, where the sweetbreads blend beautifully with the sauce, while the morels add a special touch. Honestly, I did find this dish a bit pricey considering the quantity and quality offered. To finish, we shared two excellent desserts: a wonderful crème brûlée and a delicious tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream. The interior is small but pleasant, with little space between the tables and a calm atmosphere. The restaurant also has a large terrace. I especially want to emphasize the quality of the service. Due to the hail, the staff had to urgently move the customers seated on the terrace inside, even though our reservation was for a table inside. We waited about ten minutes while they rearranged the dining room, and they apologized repeatedly, even though the situation was completely beyond their control. Despite the obvious stress, they handled everything with great professionalism and care. The pace of the service was also very good, neither too fast nor too slow. In conclusion, I particularly recommend this address for its menu, which offers a very nice overview of local gastronomy, with generous and well-prepared dishes, as well as a real sense of hospitality.

30/05/2026: A very fine establishment, expertly run by the owner, with a sharp wit, just the way I like it. Recommended by the wine merchant, whose neighbor is Monsieur Jean's wine shop. Simple, regional cuisine, very flavorful, served in a 60s/70s setting, reminding me of my youth. Very clean establishment. Also boasts a lovely terrace. It's a shame we were only passing through... I highly recommend it and I will return...

26/05/2026: If you're passing through Gevrey-Chambertin, you absolutely must stop at this charming little restaurant. It boasts a fantastic vintage decor inside and a lovely terrace out front. The menu is concise, featuring fresh, local ingredients: snails, parsley ham, baked eggs with Époisses cheese, beef bourguignon... And, as expected in the region, a nice wine list. The small adjoining shop is full of all sorts of lovely items.

19/05/2026: We visited the brasserie. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We sat and ate in the vaulted cellar (presumably the former wine cellar). It was very quiet and secluded from the general hustle and bustle. Very romantic. The service was very friendly, and the concise menu was sufficient to find a suitable dish. The wine recommendation was a perfect match for the meal, and everything was delicious. The brasserie is highly recommended.
