01/11/2025: A warm welcome from Roland. Excellent service with a smile. The dishes are delicious, and the presentation lives up to what one expects from a restaurant. A highly recommended address for anyone who loves fine dining.

11/10/2025: It was a quick decision to eat here, due to the proximity to the road - still not easy to find but go for it if you are around! An old “traditional” place, not in the touristic sense, but as it was like in the 80ies, probably.. everything is in French only but the owner makes the effort to explain what is that you don’t know. Food came very quickly because we chose the menu. Tarte tatin was homemade, not store bought pastry based! Coffee good, prices are OK.

28/12/2024: Nous sommes venus fêter les fêtes en famille et nous avons pris un table pour 14 personnes. Nous avons tous été très bien accueillis, l’équipe de service est agréable et souriante. Il faut en revanche souligner, un rapport quantité prix digne d’un restaurant gastronomique, 28,5€ par personne pour une fondu n’abusons pas, je sais que nous sommes proche de la suisse mais tout de même. Pour le reste tout s’est bien passé l’entièreté de la tablée à apprécier le repas ! Je tiens personnellement à revenir sur un événement marquant de ce repas. Après avoir commandé une raclette à 21€ par personne, j’ai cru apercevoir dans mon assiette seulement deux pommes de terres, c’est alors qu’après les avoir mangé j’en ai demandé d’autres pour pouvoir finir mon repas dans les meilleures conditions. Dans l’attente j’ai activé le chronomètre de ma montre et après avoir demandé plusieurs fois ou en était l’arrivée de mes PDT, j’ai du me lever au bout de 30min pour exprimer un début de mécontentement. Ce que j’aurais du faire plus tôt puisqu’après un coup de gueule d’une serveur en cuisine les pommes de terres sont arrivés dans les 2minutes qui suivaient. En résumé ce fut un très bon moment passé en famille. Toutefois le prix et l’attente des ces fameuses PDT ne me feront pas y retourner!!!

The setting is simply idyllic, a haven of peace where time seems to stand still. And what about the service? A big thank you to the waiter, this tall, warm blond man, whose kindness and professionalism enhanced our evening. A must-visit address, to which I without hesitation award the highest rating.

03/07/2025: A simply incredible restaurant! The gourmet cuisine is exceptional! The terrace overlooking the Loue is magical! The old-world interior reflects the magic of times gone by. You'll be transported as you visit the restaurant's dining rooms, adorned with magnificent works of art, paintings, and sculptures created by a local artist. The service is impeccable! A must-do!

18/09/2024: Very friendly village restaurant, very good cuisine. Here there are no menus with endless dishes, a single menu for 15 euros with starter, main course, dessert, cheese, coffee. The quality is there and the restaurant is always full of service. We've been walking past for years, yesterday we walked through the door and we don't regret it. Dog accepted without problem

09/09/2024: L'Auberge de la Haute Joux étant fermée ce jour-là, nous n'avons pas eu d'autre choix que celui de nous arrêter dans cet établissement. Ben pour tout vous dire, nous ne sommes pas restés sur des souvenirs inoubliables. Restaurant tout ce qu'il y a de plus simple, cuisine tout aussi simple, ça vous cale un creux, vous payez un prix qui semble un peu disproportionné, vous regagnez votre voiture garée assez loin car il n'y avait pas de place. Un peu plus loin, il y a "chez Barbara" à Censeau, malheureusement, c'était complet.

25/01/2025: First time we have come to this restaurant. Well, thank you for the pass time. We had a very good evening, pleasant staff, excellent service time and the dishes were very good, nicely presented, right down to the little flower on the crème brûlée and plentiful. We will come back without hesitation.

05/07/2025: I called this restaurant for a meal for 30 people. I was told, "Sorry, we don't serve." They clearly don't want to work. I've never seen anything like it. Run away.

(with the smell of the fryer extra) - the dishes then... it's weird and it doesn't look good! - we taste... it's not good - we skip the dessert - the bill arrives > 100 Euros (4 people) no wine... I don't know what to say other than "go your way!" Buuuuurk 🤮
