27/10/2025: Very friendly welcome, decent couscous except for the weird merguez sausages inside, which I didn't like at all. She offered us dessert.

18/08/2024: To flee!! The waiter was rude, offering no drinks and sighed when asked to adjust the arrival time of a dish (so that it was served at the same time as the menu). Regarding hygiene, it was even worse: the bread baskets were reused from one table to another. I even saw the waitress, after putting dirty plates in the kitchen, top off the baskets of bread with her bare hands before bringing them to another table. An unacceptable situation. We decided not to eat there.

16/08/2024: The lamb shank is excellent. This is the dish to taste!

13/01/2026: Very welcoming. The only hotel in the area, the price-quality ratio isn't justified. The room was clean, certainly, and had everything you need, but it was a bit dated.

17/11/2025: Easy access, parking available, attentive staff, clean and pleasant room. Generous breakfast with plenty of choice. Accepts dogs of all sizes. We will gladly return.

16/11/2025: What a disappointment... the waiter (a gentleman of a certain age) who greeted us, while certainly friendly, rushed us throughout dinner, serving us very quickly, bringing us the bill while interrupting our conversation, even though the coffee had just been served. He came back 5 minutes later with his card reader to take payment, clearing our table bit by bit, making it clear we were leaving at 10:30 pm... how shameful. Some dishes were more or less acceptable... the presentation of the chicken with the bones needs to be reconsidered. In short, I will not be returning and I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

31/01/2026: I didn't quite understand the positive feedback in the previous comments. This isn't exactly market cuisine. Homemade fries and duck or beef—the meat is very good. But it's not refined cuisine, and the price is surprisingly high! The plates are very small, the portion of fries really small—nothing extraordinary, and the price is high for a bistro. Disappointing for a village bistro. Won't go back.

27/10/2025: A friendly, no-nonsense bistro. You'll eat simple, traditional local dishes, just the way you like them. Bazas beef is on the menu. The welcome is straightforward and friendly. There's no room for extravagance like elsewhere. Open on Sundays. I recommend it.

03/03/2025: Practical. We eat decently there. Traditional French Brasserie cuisine. Nice meat menu. Nice selection of wines. Smiling, attentive and efficient service.

03/11/2024: Wir haben Foie Gras und Lamm jeweils zum Teilen bestestellt. Auf der Rechnung fanden wir dann 11 Euro mehr für einen zweiten Teller. Das ist schon heftig! Die Folie Gras war gut aber für 22 Euro homöopathisch, Kommentar Besitzer:"was gut ist ist eben wenig!" Das Lamm war mit einer sehr guten Sauce und Kartoffelpüree, es war ein Stück vom Gigot, ohne sonstige Beilagen und wenig, 39 Euro, schon heftig. Der Besitzer war sehr oberflächlich, wie man eben Massentouristen behandelt, die Frau war korrekter aber bei unserer Reklamation dann doch auch sehr unangenehm. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen, zumal es mit dem Clos de Mirande das beste Restaurant gibt, das wir in der Gegend kennen.

06/10/2024: On nous a recommandé ce restaurant lors d'une escapade à Saint Émilion. Et quel plaisir !!! Le soleil ☀️ était au rendez-vous, les propriétaires nous ont gentiment proposé une table en terrasse dans un cadre verdoyant et reposant. Un pur plaisir 🥰 Ensuite nous avons pu déguster des plats copieux et délicieux. Nous avons passé un très bon moment culinaire dans un lieu chaleureux et accueillant. Nous y reviendrons très prochainement.

30/10/2025: Good restaurant, friendly servers. Dogs are welcome without any problem. Generous portions and very tasty. The only slight downside was the somewhat long wait for dessert orders.

12/10/2025: Great restaurant! The sea bream was ultra fresh and super well prepared by a very attentive waitress. I had a great time with my mother, on a Sunday evening after a busy weekend thanks to the beautiful weather. Despite the fatigue, the two servers were adorable and very attentive. We really felt pampered! I will definitely go back 😊

06/09/2025: We used to regularly come to Taste and Go for lunch for work, but since the start of the school year, the prices have increased significantly: €13.50 for a main course and €15.50 for a main course + dessert menu. These are dinner restaurant prices, not suitable for a lunch at work. For comparison, at the Garde Manger in Pessac, the main courses are between €8.50 and €10.50 with dessert, and the quality is perfectly acceptable. As a result, I no longer have any interest in returning to Taste and Go; the value for money is no longer there.
