16/12/2024: Passing through the city center and in front of Le Bistrot des Grands Hommes, the dish of the day tempts us.
The room is full, so we have a drink on the outdoor terrace while a table becomes available.
Beautiful flank steak with pepper sauce, homemade fries + bowl of salad for €14. Honestly, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable.
A rum baba for dessert which, as we were told when ordering, is not really one since it is made on the basis of the financiers they make to serve with the coffees. Well soaked, this dessert is very good. Rum baba-style financier.
Everything is homemade, the welcome and the service are perfect.
12/12/2024: I think the bistrot des grands hommes is one of the best coffees in Bordeaux.
It has recently been completely renovated with taste and very high quality.
The sound and musical ambiance is perfect.
The server Loïc is incredibly helpful and friendly.
The room and the terrace are both very pleasant.
The coffee is good. The espresso and the long coffee are both charged at €2.20, the same price as the other cafés on the square, with the exception of another which charges them at €2.50.
Coffee is served with a delicious homemade financier.
A truly perfect moment.

26/09/2024: Très bien reçu, jeune serveuse Très sympathique tout en étant discrète, repas servi dans les temps malgré 4 commandes différentes ce qui est très agréable. Comme c’était une première fois nous avons goûté les plats des uns et des autres et nous en concluons que c’est de la bonne cuisine en quantité suffisante d’un bon rapport qualité prix. Nous avions choisi au hasard ce restaurant parce qu’il est à 2 pas de chez nous, nous ne sommes vraiment pas déçus et regrettons de ne pas y être allé plus tôt. Bref allez y ! c’est bon, pas cher et le soir on peut se garer très facilement
09/08/2024: Repas du midi et menu du jour parfaits. Le bœuf Thaï en plat du jour était une tuerie. Des saveurs bien travaillées, un service rapide, discret et sympathique. Le tout à un tarif très raisonnable : On comprend que l'établissement soit pas mal fréquenté. Une seconde expérience toujours concluante. Bravo !

19/09/2024: Arriving at 1:40 p.m. we ask for a drink on the terrace, we are seated, we are given the menu then come back to us to tell us to leave under the excuse "too many people" when the terrace is almost empty and that the service ends at 2:30 p.m.… Disappointed… we are suggested to go to the bar next door, a “PMU”… not sure if it offers a bottle of tariquet… 🥲

Lots of things for activities for children and adults
super good soaps and round soap suspensions especially with a rustic and old-fashioned design
My mom is very happy to have finally found some after so many years.
And thank you to the seller and advisor who informed me about the different French soaps with a lot of patience following my deafness.
The cashier can be the boss, is very smiling, patient and welcoming.
I highly recommend taking a trip there.

30/01/2024: A real surprise. We weren't expecting to eat so well in this small town on the outskirts of Bordeaux when we booked last minute on a Tuesday night. Extremely friendly staff, DELICIOUS food - without exaggeration - and very good value for money. I chose the dinner menu: chicken gyozas with vegetables sautéed in soy, grilled cabillaud fish with Iberian ham on a bed of lentils; chocolate brownie for dessert; and a glass of white wine from the Grives cantina, for a total of €29+5. My partner tried the entrecôte and the Paris-Tallinn for dessert. Delicious!!! We will return, without a doubt.

12/09/2024: Arrivé un samedi soir après un match de rugby, je dois vraiment féliciter les deux serveurs de ce resto qui ont fait preuve de beaucoup de courage face au cuisinier complètement ivre qui les a insulté devant toute la salle, il aurait mieux fait de s occuper de ses cuissons de viande.
Ils sont restés souriant et très pro devant un fou furieux limite violent 😱

18/10/2024: Halfway between the Mauresque park and the beach, pleasant, typically French bar restaurant, which escapes the clichés of beachside establishments. We eat pretty well there, and comfortably. Beautiful varied menu. Traditional French cuisine in good style. Nice selection of wines in and outside Bordeaux. Relaxed, attentive and smiling service. Consistent prices. For lovers of authenticity.
