05/09/2024: We were here in the middle of the week after the end of France. Summer vacation. The restaurant is in the idyllic Port de Talais in one of the typical small houses. The menu of dishes is manageable but good and the name of the restaurant says it all. Duck. The food was very tasty and well prepared and the landlady was very nice and friendly. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the menu and the drinks. It should be mentioned that there are only beer tent tables and benches to sit in the restaurant. It was totally ok for us, but it might not be for everyone. Definitely a clear recommendation from us, we will come here again.

06/07/2025: We made a quick stop here as we were leaving town. Although they are known for macarons, we stoped in for canelés. They were delicious! If we had known how much we would enjoy them, we would have bought more! 😁 Also, the woman who helped us was very sweet and helpful considering our language barrier.
Next time we will get both the macarons and canelés!
11/06/2025: The real ones, the only ones, the unique ones are Nadia Fermigier's macaroons. She has the real recipe. I'm from Saint-Emilion myself. I was fooled, thinking they were the same. I bought some in another shop, absolutely nothing to do with them. They keep poorly and the taste, let's talk about it, it wasn't the same at all.

29/07/2024: Smiling bartender, unfriendly service, decent flank steak but uninteresting sauces (sour pepper sauce without pepper taste, Roquefort sauce without taste, in a pinch the shallot is fine...).
No bread for other dishes.

28/09/2024: Went for breakfast. Menu was pretty simple so perhaps not the best stop if you want some hot food. Pretty convenient though as it’s right in the vicinity of the train station so great to rest your legs as you plan your day in Bordeaux

2 hot dishes, dry salmon lasagna that is inedible.
Beautiful desserts all the same, but for 35€, the customers deserve better, it's not just the setting!! What is the army of servers for??

27/08/2024: Personnel froid et peu souriant tant au service qu’à l’encaissement.
Notre fils avait pris un plat : Mac & Cheese… des pâtes avec du cheddar : écœurant !
La serveuse a ramassé l’assiette sans se soucier de pourquoi rien n’avait été mangé pour remonter l’information en cuisine.
Sommes déçus, nous ne reviendrons pas.
21/08/2024: Disappointing stop on way home from Bordeaux airport. Busy, but I've no idea why, if the standard of my Mac n Cheese is anything to go by.
The supposedly cheddar cheese sauce was dreadful, practically tasteless, congealing on the macaroni which was cooked but not seasoned.
The Tarte Flombée ordered by my wife and daughter were poor, but just acceptable.
Smiling, quick professional service.
